Da Red Gobbo is the leader of the Rebel Grots and is the head of Gretchin Revolutionary Committee (GRC or just Da Kommitte) of the Grots. He is known to wear a red cape to show his support of "Da Revolushun". While not every Gretchen believes in the Red Gobbo, with some claiming he is just a legend, this quickly changes for most Grots should one appear before them. - Развлечения
DK's ability to consistently make horribly incorrect guesses on what the topic of the day is going to be never fails to impress me.
I don't think it can be called an ability at this stage anymore. It's more of a curse or a weird Tzeenchian gift of having his thoughts always change to the wrong thing.
@@doxkowalski915 where do you think he gained the ability to fluently read in ork?
@@phylippezimmermannpaquin2062 Most likely during the same glue eating accident he that gave him his ability to repeat everything Bricky says and still get something wrong. Was it worth it? Oo' knowz
You call guesses, I call script.
@@MrHellsing76 holy shit you sound fun at parties
As someone who read this book myself, there are some fun details to point out. When Fingwit blows up the red barrel, the book describes how he "cheated a little by aiming at his target". And when the gang comes across all the humans, Fingwit says how you can identify the humans boss by seeing who has the most shiny things on their coat. Also one of the grots steals one of the guardsman's laz-pistol, and complains when the gun doesn't have a noticeable amount of recoil when he fires it
honestly the grots in this book came off like they are a little smarter than orks. Or.... at least... a different kind of dumb. I personally liked the shooting the button to make it do what you want running gag.
"Cheated a little by aiming at his target" is the most orky thing ever and I love it.
@Lazrael32 they are smarter
Mildy smarter
Better shots too
I love Greenskins.
@@Lazrael32 That’s basically the Grots in a nutshell. Just as dumb, but a pragmatic dumb.
We need a GorkkaMorkka game that plays like Pikmin. With a standard boi campaign and a Red Gobbo campaign.
Every time would get annoying but I’d love if sometimes when you whistle the leader would go “cam’on ya lazy gitz!”
@@lucidlullaby894 what the whole warcraft orc annoyed lines.
@@DBeskar6605 nah Pikmin style would be funnier. Each group of bois have different specialties.
Oh my God. That could be so crazy!
Throw all the Grotz
In warhammer fantasy, the chosen champion of Mork is actually a goblin, Skarsnick. It’s possible that Da Red Gobbo is 40k’s champion of Mork, the Skarsnick of 40k, like how Gaz is 40k’s Grimgor
But Gaz is the prophet of gork and mork
In Ghazghkull Thrakka Profit of the Waagh we find out that if Ghaz is the ork profit of Gork and Mork then Makari is the Gretchen profit of gork and mork.
@@DJGumm3yG4t0r Right Grimgor isn't even the more impressive black orc, let alone orc in the old world, that of course is Morglum Necksnapper.
I always thought that Makari was Mork's champion
WARHAMMER FANTASY =/= WARHAMMER 40K
In "Warboss" by Mike Brooks, there's a great bit that I'm sure is a subtle jab at how many Primaris Lieutenant models there are:
Da Genrul sighed. "Nah, Look, ya can't all be lootenants. How many lootenants do ya fink we zoggin' need? A major's more important. None of ya wanna be a major?"
The assembled orks shook their heads. (Da Genrul) narrowed his eyes.
"Is dis because "lootenants" has got da word "loot" in it?"
It was not often that burly ork nobs looked embarrased, but this was one of those occasions.
"Mork's teeth, da state of ya," Da Genrul groaned.
Ahh orks, the faction where I constantly say " OMG, that's so stupid.....I love them so much" XD
Mork's teef, da state of ya
*HAS* to be one of the greatest lines I have ever read.
Lootenants need to work for Major TeefScrapmastah.
The Red Gobbo is a warp spirit possessing Gretchin who works for Mork. That's why Fingwit is talking to another voice, and why anyone could be the Red Gobbo.
There's a specter haunting the WAAAAAGH!
The specter... of REVOLUTION
I think this is probobly my favorite ork story yet. Its literally about a Grot trying to seize the means of productions and I love it.
Seize the means of *destruction*
I love that these books are a great excuse for the author to misspell pretty much everything, and it still makes complete sense.
Thing about the Red Gobbo, is that it was semi-successful. Now I know it is a literal work of fiction. Even within 40K lore. But, the Red Gobbo even got Orks to fight for Gretchin freedom. Mind you the Orks are basically lobotomized boyz. Yet, not all, some even fight willingly. As the fightin's good.
Who zoggin carez if da boss is a little grot, hes bringin' in all the good foightin' and the fights 'ave been good!
But biggest is da bestest
When da fightin's good. Da fightin's good. Who da f*ck cares!?
Fighting against the oppressed against all odds is something that would lead to some good crumpin

To be fair in 40k it has been mentioned that there are a few Gretchin Empires who do cover some respectable territory. So at the very least some Red Gobbos have been very successful
A gobbo episode and no shortstack Bricky?!
HERESY!!!!!!
My headcanon is that Fingwitz's inner monologue is just Mork talking to him because he thinks it would be funny.
I dont know why, but when finwit is having his little monologue and refers to almost all the major factions from necrons to tau and says theys "playing catch up in a race they never had hope of winning". . . I dont know why, but it gives me a chill as if this one grott in this moment is some how more in the know on the entirety of orc existence than we as readers are...
Can't believe they missed calling the Red Gobbo "Grot-ski".
I think in some flavor text for ork vehicles with Grots inside they explain if a function fails to even happen it is because some grot starts calling himself the Red Gobbo and a rebellion has happened, so the orks inside have to clean up the mess.
Week 19 of TALK ABOUT THE RAVEN GUARD YOU COWARDS! I'm still hanging around.
Tell their chapter master to fix his hair first
*taps the clock*
I hope the skaven episode does well so you guys could talk about the beastman
Eh I'd rather them talk about nagash.
@@YOGI-kb9tg Warhammer fantasy's biggest douchebag?
I just want them to mention Age of Sigmar
I would love for them to touch on the Lizardmen... or ya know, do more than just one episode
The Rebel grot committee has actually been around for a while originating in the game Gorkamorka where they were one of the playable factions. They’re a fun group and I hope they get a bit more fleshing out.
They need a manifesto with mostly pictures written by Grotstrojevskij
Tonite on Ridiculous Gear: Bricky gets into the festive spirit thanks to Da Red Gobbo and begins emptying his abnormally swollen sacks all over the unlucky grots down below, DK gets inspired by the Da Red Gobbo's political leanings which begins DK's inferior version of Da Revolushun and Shy steals Da Red Gobbo's Bounca for her own wholesome amusement...oh who am I kidding? Shy doesn't have wholesome amusement planned for the Bounca as she wants to use the Bounca to Rip and Tear obviously.
My man's still going strong
@@LesserOfTwoWeevils What?

Never refer to Bricky's "abnormally swollen sacks" ever again.

"Any Grot git should be able ta run da WAAAAAGH!"
After this I believe a Gorkamorka episode is in order, since one of the factions in that game are Da Rebel Grots who follow Da Red Gobbo.
I believe that every ork Waaagh has at least 1 Red Gobbo. I now want a Waagh to have around 5 Red Gobbos who start fightig each other because each of them wants to lead the revolution
RPG or a strategy game about wh40k would be pure gold.
Rogue Trader and Dawn of War 1 or 2 are for you
Like an amalgamation of _Planetary Annihilation, They Are Billions_ and _Stellaris._
Imagine a game like that. It would be the perfect RTS game for W40k. It has the scale and the numbers, and the destruction.
Men of war wh40k official game would be awesome.
Id like a 40k version of fallout. A heavily satirical fps rpg would be fun as hell
You have the Dawn of War games if you're into RTS, and Gladius if you're intro 4X strategy games
They just announced a second sequel to this and I am entirely looking forward to it
Ladies and gentleman what these fine people didn’t mention is that there’s also a SEQUEL to the book called ‘Da Gobbo’s Demise’ that’s available too!
This gobbo can stay, I like the cut of his gib
You guys got to talk about the old Rogue Trader days sometime. Super fun and old school.
Any story about the Orkz always has me in a shit-eating grin just because of how ridiculously funny they are.
Storm of Iron is a good book, but keep in mind, it is one of the earlier books. They often try to make the characters be edgy, but actually they just do stupid things, which is especially aggravating because they are Iron Warriors, which are gerally logical thinkers, and most of them were even high-ranking in the Horus Heresy and just die.
So read on your own risk!
But is it Daemonculaba level stupid?
Yay! I have this and it's sequel in hardcover!! (Da Gobbo's Demise). I was a bit disappointed to find out the second one was not written by Mike Brooks. but he had a primarch to bring back so i guess he was busy.
Shortstack Bricky? Today?
13:04 excuse me, the mega-what?
Bit of a theory. I think Gorkk and Mork were amused by fingwit's prayer, and that why how he was so success.
"Klaws is gonna get the Clamps, isn't that right Clamps?"
this is going to be asking for a sign tapping, but anyone who wants to learn more about the gobbo's original origins wants to go look at GorkkaMorkka! Hoping that's an ep soon!
still got my red gobbo gorkamorka mini from when i was a kid. Such a cool mini.
I like to add some unusual lore to my armies and in the case of Rotguts Skull Snatchas there unusually appriciative of thier grots.
They even let them have Real guns!
It might be just me but I love how DK says SLASH ADUPTUS REDICULOUS
I really want a Waagh of just grots now.
I’m laughing how the orks and Gretchen are so hilarious
GLORY TO THE EMPIRIUM OF GOBBOS
Imagine a imperium OSHA investigator seeing a ork workshop.
Immediate grand mal seizures.
"First of all you don't know dat 'cause ya ain't been everywhere, second if dere ain't den how did da legend start, and second plus one if dere ain't den maybe dere should be"
I ZOGGIN LOVE DAT QUOTE!!!
" Did oi just ketch yew 'avin' fun, gretchin!? " - Ork gretchin herder.
I’m excited for this episode. But it’s no Spashe wülvēs.
Next Box Set idea:
Alpharius Primarch returns
Da Red Gobbo reveals himself, leading "Da Glorious Revolushon!" A Gretchin led WAAAGH! comprised entirely of Grotz.
There's a sector/relic/weapon/OPthing they both want.
Lord Jimmy Workshop, I beg of thee...
Pls.
When i heard the grots were called "Da Fingerz" i was waiting to also hear two squigs called "Da Thummbz"
another adric episode, another visit to GW to look at models
Just a little grot
This Podcast apparently hasn’t seen Goblin Slayer.
DK: man I don’t want to curse and have shy have to edit.
Bricky: Planes and shit!
20:15 "Yeah time to see da Pain Bois."
Gretchin of da WAAAGH, Unite! You have nuffin' ta lose but your life!
It should be noted Da Red Gobbo was originally from a side game called GorkaMorka which is where Da Revolusion idea came from.
GorkaMorka also had the Digganobz who are humans cosplaying as Orks.
Highly recommend looking into GorkaMorka for an episode its wacky as hell
lol gretchen all doing the Joker dance on the dead ork...

"Grotsky" was RIGHT THERE smh
This makes me want to play 40k and just run a Gretchen and grot army

can't believe they haven't read Eisenhorn yet
Trazyn is losing his mind not have this grot in his collection
43:07 they’re brought up again in another ORK book where they’re found to have killed their ORK handlers.
I like that in this episode bricky is doing everything he can to not get side tracked. Yet it is still almost 50 minutes
Brickyard: what would say recommend.

Well now ya gotta do da Gobbos demize
This was fun - love orkz! Probably GOBBO end up his career as a thinking hat for the warg boss but lived such a life!
Pretty sure the expansion for Gorkamorka, Digganob has Gretchin Revolutionaries as a faction so yeah the Red Gobbo legend and mantle was not a unique thing to this book!
Also, they need to make a game of this.
Reading Storm of Iron is what made me pick IW as my first army. Its a fun read!😊
I first heard about Da Red Gobbo in Gorkamorka.
Tuska da deamon killa. Can we get an episode on him? I like to think that one day Korn will make him a sudo demon prince.
I think they've already covered him.
Well I know they mention him in part of an orc video. I just want to see a full eps on him but not sure if there is enough material on tuska for that.
This is DK's brain 🥚
This is DK's brain trying to guess today's topic 🍳
The original red gobo. Is from Gorkamorka.
We must seize the means of krumpin
In 1989, Macho Man yells at Hogan as the Mega-Powers explode: "I saw those eyes at Miss Elizabeth! That's HERESY, oh yeah!!"
Oh a shy recommendation, very nice
.... That macho Man impression with the 40K stuff... Do more of that... That was pretty funny.
The red Gobbo is real and he's from Gorkamorka xD
The uprising was because Grots and Gretchin couldn't earn tags to get on the great Gorkamorka when it comes time to rejoin the great WWWAAAAAAGGGHH!!!
Itz Da Gloriuz Revolooshun!
As a cockney myself, i love how Bricky Ork impersonation sounds more like a Jersey Italian gangster and than someone from London.
His pistol better have been a REVolver
So gretchins actualy aim before shooting?
Damm, i'm starting to believe on the Gretchin Revolution!!!!
If I remember properly, Da Red Gobbo is based off of one who started a revolution on a planet called Gorakmorka to let gretchin on that planet have a chance of leaving on a spaceship. You had to have a tag to leave, but only orks were allowed to get them, so the gretchin started to take out orks hoarding them so they could have it, too.
I think that's what happened, anyway, I could be off
Time for dis grot git
Storm of Iron is a badass read. You're gonna like it
