Eliah Drinkwitz has done a great job with this Missouri football team this season. The one thing that has been a constant is their defense is elite. This program has definitely gone in the right direction

Same here. Dawg fan. Mizzou had a defense build around fundamentals, like few mistakes and great form tackling. They gave us a great game earlier this year... I don't think the buckeyes expected them to play that stingy.
An impressive game by them for sure. Missouri's defender Carnell at 3:27 was DANGEROUSLY close to getting called for targeting though. What saved him is that he turned JUST enough at the last second to hit the Ohio State WR with his shoulder instead of the crown of his helmet. He got lucky on that one.

Not a national championship win. But for this year, it'll be one I never forget. Picked to finish 6th in the SEC East. No one gave them a chance and what do they do, they show up week after week with a chip on their shoulder, hard hats, and lunch pails. Mizzou proved this year they belong. From the 61 yard FG to beat K-State, 4th and 17 to seal a win over Florida, Luke Bauers fake TD pass vs Kentucky, the complete decimation of both Tennessee and Arkansas. Heck even becoming Tennessee State Champs by being 4-0 against all Div1 teams from the state of Tennessee. Thank you to all the seniors that came back that didn't have to. KAD, D. Rob, Tyron Hopper, Realous George, Jayden Jernigan, Javon Foster, JC Carlies, Joseph Charleston, Nate Peat, Chad Bailey, DelGado and Cody Schrader to name a few. Schrader not only deserves his name on the wall of greats at Mizzou, but I'd say he earned a statue as well. From walk on to one of the best backs in Mizzou history. See yall next year, M-I-Z. As an OU fan I have no love for Missouri, but playing a clean turnover free game and finding another gear to pull out the win in the fourth quarter was impressive. You have to respect that.
This has to be one of the Most perfectly executed games I've ever watched-both sides. Few turnovers, few stupid penalties (Refs and Players) and the sportsmanship was model level

IM a Mizzou graduate. The first college game I ever saw in my life was Mizzou vs Ohio State in the late 90s. It was amazing to see Missouri step up and take the W over my other favorite program. My dad grew up in Ohio and we were also Ohio State fans growing up.

It was not the Buckeyes' fault as a team ... it was partly the fault of their best player, Harrison, and their quarterback not playing for their team. I am a Buckeye fan and frankly I expected what happened ... for Ohio State's defense to be good but its offense to be .... not good. Classic defensive battle! People say its boring but its just as excited because any play can change the entire game with how stout the defenses were playing. I honestly miss games like this. Both teams played excellent defense. They both had pretty good offense but the defense was just on another level

I've been a Missouri fan all of my life and this is probably the grittiest team that I have ever witnessed. Obviously the injury at QB had a big impact on OSU but it is still a great win over one of the greatest programs in college football. The defense looked amazing and while the offense was super frustrating to watch throughout much of the game, they figured out how to get it done in the end.

Mizzou's defensive game plan seemed to be pretty much blitz on every single play. and it worked too. Keinholz has the tools to be a good QB but being a 3rd stringer and getting you're first game reps against a good defense probably wont work out, and it didnt.
Kylce McCord and Marvin Harrison Jr. did not play; as result of this, 9 starters did not play! Marvin Harrison Jr. chose to focus on the draft, McCord is going to Syracuse, and once this happened, 7 other starters did not play. Ohio State was without their starting QB, and Marvin Harrison Jr. who is going to be a first round pick in the year's upcoming draft. This is a good win for Missouri, but if Ohio State does not have 9 starters sit out they would have won this game!

Yes he won a title but he also lost a title game. This is Days 3rd year. He’s still fresh. I say let him get the hang of it. He will get it figured out. Not to many coaches has won every single game they have played and some that are great right now started off with losing seasons. Day has lost 4 games now. How many other college teams can say that. If the fan base would stand behind these guys then that might just make a huge difference. It’s hard to win games when your people do nothing but talk about getting you fired. lol. IM a Mizzou graduate. The first college game I ever saw in my life was Mizzou vs Ohio State in the late 90s. It was amazing to see Missouri step up and take the W over my other favorite program. My dad grew up in Ohio and we were also Ohio State fans growing up.
All of those Buckeye fans that traveled to that game have got to be furious with that abysmal performance.

Good for them but it's clear as day that the Cotton Bowl means more to Missouri, Ohio State is one of those schools that doesn't care about consolation bowls. I honestly don't care about these bowl games either because teams ranked that high deserve better than to just play in some corporate mascot of a game.
It was not the Buckeyes' fault as a team ... it was partly the fault of their best player, Harrison, and their quarterback not playing for their team. I am a Buckeye fan and frankly I expected what happened ... for Ohio State's defense to be good but its offense to be .... not good. Sadly, my prediction came through but it was turned out worse than I thought against a very good Missouri team. Hats off to the Tigers and hats off to the Buckeyes who remained on the team.

I've been a Missouri fan all of my life and this is probably the grittiest team that I have ever witnessed. Obviously the injury at QB had a big impact on OSU but it is still a great win over one of the greatest programs in college football. The defense looked amazing and while the offense was super frustrating to watch throughout much of the game, they figured out how to get it done in the end.

Mizzou's defensive game plan seemed to be pretty much blitz on every single play. and it worked too. Keinholz has the tools to be a good QB but being a 3rd stringer and getting you're first game reps against a good defense probably wont work out, and it didnt.

Marvin Harrison Jr. chose to focus on the draft, McCord is going to Syracuse, and once this happened, 7 other starters did not play.
