I was very disappointed in some of the lies that Eddie told about MA after the breakup. Like, claiming he had to make videos of himself playing base so that MA could learn how to play each song. I never understood why he made schizophrenic comments like that.
@@SaltyPirate71 Water under the bridge to Wolfgang , Eddie's son He plays with Michael Anthony... Wolfgang can play All the instruments... Maybe Eddie was just trying to help with some suggestions I don't know about that
The Greatest but underrated rock band on this Planet (Not U.S.)......here in Europe, people know only Jump......few people know who is Eddie Van Halen......😢❤
Welcome back Biz...I was waiting for your review of one of my favorite Van Halen tunes!I love the Bluesy/Funky vibe of this one...what a groove.Tunes like this clearly demonstrate why the Roth era of VH is the greatest.
Such a good album. I'm glad you said something about Michael Anthony. He was the heart of the whole band. You're right about VH being a different band under Hagar. I beg you to remember that fact and judge it accordingly. I'm one of the few VH fans that actually likes both eras equally.
WOMEN AND CHILDREN FIRST is their finest release IMO ...... just love your take on this album. Like you said, all bangers. Even Triple B will make you tap your foot. You're in for a treat. Nuff said ...... enjoy!
VH 2 has a couple songs that are better " outta love again", and "DOA" but it has a couple mediocre songs and I hate their cover of " you're no good ", so I agree, it's pretty low on the list, even if a couple cuts are better
Was 15 years old when their first album dropped. Bought it right away. Been a fan ever since. By far, "Women and Children First" is my most favorite VH album. 🤯
Don't bother with Van Hagar, this album and Fair Warning are tied for my favorites. 3. Van Halen 4. 1984 5. Diver Down 6. Van Halen 2 #6 isn't a terrible album either, better than most bands' sixth best. There is a big, gaping Darian Gap, however, between Diver Down/VH2 and 5150 which is probably the best Sammy Hagar album.
Fun fact, pretty much all the songs on the first four albums had been written years before while they were playing on clubs and bars. They picked through them and found the ones they liked best for each album. That's why nearly everyone loves the first album best. If you check out "ZERO" it's early demo versions of many of these songs and some 5hat never were released.
WTH Biz! Somehow I got unsubscribed from this channel!! I've been binge watching your comedy on your other channel and I thought you gave up on music. Now you're telling me you're in the middle of the VH catalogue??? Wow I've got some catching up to do!! This is crazy that this is the first notification I got for your VH reactions!! Rock on, /Biz. I'M BACK!!!
Hey just so you know. Ever since you've been saying your message about subscribing. I've checked from time to time & have had to resubscribe around a dozen times. Wtf?
Huge VH fan, grew up listening to them, had the pleasure of seeing them in 1984 with Diamond David Lee Roth!! I much prefer DLR Van Halen. So glad you’re getting into them. Enjoy!!
I cant pinpoint what it is about VH2 that makes it Not as great as the 1st or 3rd. i think it may be the Mix? the production maybe? or ..lack of strong songs. DOA Somebody get me a doctor Spanish Fly Dance the night away ..... basically i like 5ish songs from II , but like 8ish from 1st & 3rd
This one is just plain mean and nasty, Eddie makes the lead solo sound like you drunk trying to walk home bout to fall that ace down, and its Eddie playing the acoustic on this one at the beginning not dave, dave played some acoustic on some songs but the hard stuff was Eddie all the way.
And the best album is still to come - the Fair Warning album.
One of my favorite all time Halen songs. Underrated!
In my Top 10
YES!!!
No VH fan says Halen
@@MrDuds1984 Yeah guess not. I did see them live in 1984 and it changed my life. Enjoy your day Halen master fan.
Glad you’re back!! This whole album is amazing
Michael Anthony 1 of the most underrated bassist...And the production makes sure you hear it Upfront not in the background
Agreed
I was very disappointed in some of the lies that Eddie told about MA after the breakup. Like, claiming he had to make videos of himself playing base so that MA could learn how to play each song. I never understood why he made schizophrenic comments like that.
I was too, but as much as we love Eddie, he had a drug problem.@@SaltyPirate71
Yup. M.A baseline makes this track absolutely thump
@@SaltyPirate71 Water under the bridge to Wolfgang , Eddie's son He plays with Michael Anthony... Wolfgang can play All the instruments... Maybe Eddie was just trying to help with some suggestions I don't know about that
Finally caught one of your vids early! I love this Album and this song.❤❤❤❤

Yo, Biz! Great reaction! Great song! Peace
This tour was my first time seeing them live and my jaw hit the floor
David Lee Roth adds the perfect blues flair and charisma to an incredible band sound on this album.
Women And Children First is awesome.
Dave added the old school knowledge for songs like Women and Children, ice cream man, big bad bill....dude was a genius mixed with other geniuses.
Great reviews by you on a great album! Love VH!
Banger!!
You my boy...love that you love this..I saw it live

Nah man. Women and Children First is far superior to Van Hahah II. Love your channel, bro! 💪

Keeping the Eva jams coming. Looking forward to hearing more.
Hopefully, people will discover old VH someday. Aliens meet Folk and James Brown all together. Insane
THAT IS BAD ASS;)!!!!
My favorite VH song is, *"Everybody Wants Some".* Runner-up would probably be, *"Jamie's Cryin'".* But they have so many awesome tracks!
Awesome song from one of their most explosive albums. Favorite song from this album???...Romeo Delight... it wasn't easy...they're all so good:)
Watch Bizmatic!!
ON IT 🎉🎉
According to Spotify, this was my most listened to song from 2023...

David Lee Roth is the 80's version of Toxic Masculinity LOL
One of the top tracks from perhaps my favorite VH album. Perhaps, because you know...Fair Warning.

Take some time for CLUTCH "ELECTRIC WORRY" that rabbit hole won't disappoint.
This is one of my favorite Van Halen songs. Love it!!!
Cory Taylor??? And John 5 with Michael Anthony(former VH bassist) with a drummer guy do this song and it is really well done.
