Alternator Failed, quick story on how it happened

In this video, I describe how the 20 year old alternator failed on my 2024 Mitsubishi Montero. Quick story because we did hear an arching noise prior to the warning lights coming on.

Gradually everything shuts down, as car tries to conserve power for critical functions, christmas tree as dash lights up. When rectifier goes it'll pump out 17v and ends up frying your battery until it drops a cell, hence the 9v, continued jumping my car to get me through the week, ended up frying 3 cells and new battery required plus the alternator. 14.4 - 14.8v is what it should be.
