Zach Pasanen For me I never needed to try 10 times so I get the riser right when I throw a wiffle ball pitch. Blitzball is more simple to throw then a wiffle ball in my experience.
Got a blitzball set a week ago and I've been practicing pitching. Working to find a consistent release point on my fastball, but I have the curveball working fairly well after only throwing it a few times. Just need to work on that wrist flick to get a little sharper movement. Great video, would love to see a more updated one with how much you guys have grown.
I know it's irl, but I throw my regular baseball curve with the Two fingers like you briefly showed. Honestly way more easy and comfortable to have three fingers than 2
1. The screwball is just a sidearm fastball as opposed to the wrist "screwing" to the off side. 2. The cutter acts as a power slider as opposed to a true cutter. 3. The sinker has a different movement path than its mlb counterpart (down and glove side vs down and arm side) 4. The sidewinder (my name for the sidearm slider) typically works better when thrown faster with less vertical movement. 5. The knuckle drop spins (or doesn't spin) like a splitter.
If you're not getting movement, a couple things new pitchers almost always do is they start too close to the target worrying about accuracy but not getting enough room for movement. And/or throwing too hard or too soft. Too hard trying to force movement but messing up the release. Too soft, good technique but not enough RPM. Hope you figure it out and hope that helps.
I've used blitzballs for over a year and I'm using all your tips and something just isn't working with my 2 seam riser drop and screwball but my knuckle drop is good
Tucking your thumb on the fastballs instead of using the tip of your thumb will get you better movement. Ball will come out of your hands easier. It’ll pop out instead of sliding out if that makes sense.
For the knuckle ball. Throw it submarine with a upwards angle and push hard with knuckles. Its called a rising knuckle slider. Killer to right handed batters. Also if you can't throw a riser. I would recommend this way
Wish there was a release camera for the knuckle drop cause idk about anyone else but I still slightly push my fingers forward on release of the ball. Maybe I'm being overly paranoid about it but this is where I learned what a knuckle drop grip even is. (was never a pitcher, decided to pick up blitzball and test myself. I suck lol)
I've tried these pitches with my blitzball, but it doesn't curve. I don't know if my blitzball is faulty, or if i'm throwing it wrong. I got a blitzball set from walmart, with 2 balls and 1 bat. Are these balls faulty?
Could we get a qna. I watched you guys like 2 years ago and started watching again recently I Remember when Caden and chandler looked the same. Btw how old and tall are you guys
For the sinker that u threw, that had the same grip and movement as a knuckle curve, a sinker moves the opposite direction and less down but more sideways. I think u got it mixed up, great vid tho!
FYI you guys I came up with an amazing pitch that combines the sinker and screwball. It definitely works for me but it just takes some getting used to. Would you like the seams?
Very nice rise ball. That thing is tough to hit.Screwball you would have me in knots trying to hit.Fastballs look good also. But several of your off speed pitches are in the middle of the strike zone.I know this is just showing how it done. But if you threw a curveball to me and leave there..I am smashing it.That dang Knuckle Curve is the most devastating pitch besides the rise ball you have.Your Knuckle curve starts at the top of the zone and end on the ground. That is dang near perfect.I would suggest a straight up knuckleball. You hold similar to your KC...But instead of throwing it with all your might. You just push it up there.I use that pitch especially when someone is timing my FB.It will screw them up.Like all the pitches you have to master it.But it is not that hard.
I call the cutter the breaking ball lol but anyways thanks for making blitzball videos there fun to watch and I really want to join you guys league but I can’t
@@surprisinglyroomy I’ve been working on it these past couple days and managed to add maybe about 1 or 2 inches more of lateral movement but still not enough movement to fool anyone half decent. I’m starting to think the 2-seamer just isn’t a pitch for me. I wanted a pitch that breaks in on right handers since my best pitches all break away or down. Slide, slurve, curve, sinker, changeup, and a straight gas mask fastball.
@@asapmimic1289 hey progress is progress! To get some inward movement you could try throwing straight over the top, with your fingers positioned left of center and put a lot of pressure on the pointer finger, this is how you throw a sinker with a baseball and would move in on a righty when thrown by a righty. In this video their sinker moves the opposite way a traditional sinker would.
Whenever I would play baseball I'd throw screwballs to 2nd and 3rd because naturally that's how I held and threw the ball. (I had no idea what I screwball was at the time too
Pitches in the video:
1. Screwball (1:06)
2. 4-Seam (2:31)
3. 2-Seam (3:44)
4. Riser (4:47)
5. Cutter (6:27)
6. Sinker (8:04)
7. 12-6 Curve (9:21)
8. Curveball (11:29)
9. Slurve (13:33)
10. Side-Arm Slider (15:07)
11. Knuckle-Drop (17:57)

The sinker grip is just like a knuckle curve in real baseball
You guys are so good
Como Blitzball your fastball still breaks like a screw ball
My Best pitch is a knuckle drop in the Fourseam fastball so those two pictures go together perfectly
Isn't the dropball a fastball?
Imagine how many backwards k’s there are in this league

Not to be mean but it changes because the ball is lighter and easier to control

What distance do you guys pitch from?
45 feet but we are thinking of moving back to 48 feet
does pitching with the seam make a big difference?
No it doesn’t really matter where you hold it. Just do whatever is most comfortable
So it seems like, for most of these, you just have to adjust arm angle when you throw to change the spin.
