I'm a D.U.N.E. mega freak- ah- ZOID!! if we (I) don't see a guild mutated navigator I will not be able to respect the adaptation. I am so worried. I do know they made art-designed looks for the characters but left it at that, have you heard anything at all? I love your channel and would love your thoughts on this matter, thanks Ernesto .
Vince is the best writer alive today. I'll watch anything that he makes. Rhea was the best actor/actress in Better Call Saul. I'll watch anything that she's in. This new series is a complete slam dunk .
@@arjoonbessaye8652Vince Gillian, Ronan Bennett (Top Boy creator/writer), and J.T Rogers (Tokyo Vice creator/writer) are some of the best T.V writers alive today imo.
Ever since he announced he was doing a show with science fiction elements, I was intrigued since Vince Gilligan himself never created anything like that. Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are two of the greatest shows ever made and I’m looking forward to see what he’s going to do with this new show. Thanks for the video Elaine, I hope you’ll have a great weekend. Take care!
While I really liked the show, "the wire", vince gilligan's breaking bad was some of the best long form story telling that I have watched. I know several people whom have watched all of breaking bad 2 or 3 times.
Vince and Taylor the two people keeping TV alive. And just think even if this show is a pile of crap, that means it's about 1000000 times better than most of the stuff we get today. And no way there are not Easter eggs from previous shows if it's set in Albuquerque. Can't wait.
Vince Gilligan is doing side quests now... Anything is bonus, bro already dropped the best TV shows that i've ever wathed. Think we can trust this man.
Well I'm intrigued. I love the old Twilight Zone, and this guy certainly has a solid track record with his shows. It sounds a little bit like he's planning something off the old rule of "change one thing", sort of, and in this case it's the world. Then you try to naturally flow with how that one change affects everything that follows. I can definitely see how that could made for some really fascinating character exploration.
I honestly have no expectations, just looking forward to seeing what is presented. 30 episodes of X-Files certainly is enough sci-fi cred for any new sci-fi show being good, let alone his BB and BCS shows.
I knew Gilligan from the X files and its what made me give Breaking Bad's premier a chance day one so I'm excited. Unfortunately I hate almost anything to do with Apple so I'm conflicted.😐
I'm curious as to how mild the science fiction is. Breaking Bad and Better call Saul also existed in "the real world" but operated in a narrative space people hadn't seen before. Is the sci-fi just window dressing for character interaction or is it something that makes a real impact on the plot. Either way, I'm hoping Vince Gilligan is able to deliver one more time.
Hello Nerd Cookies! Looking forward to something new and fresh in the SciFi TV. The genre seems to be dominated by the reboots and franchise extensions. In my opinion, the best SciFi is driven by good script writing and a compelling story and not the special effects (having said that I am a bit of a sucker for a good spaceship battle 🙂). Stay nerdy!
So what you're saying is that this show will be the next series in the Breaking Bad universe, starring Kim Wexler, and it's another crime drama. Exciting stuff
Cue the fan theories about how Rhea Seehorn's character on this series is a descendant of Kim Wexler. They spun that theory for Alison Brie's characters on Community and Mad Men, so why not?
Only if this is a Walter White alien abduction story where the aliens get Walter to teach them how to make meth. And he completely wrecks them. And the Aliens need a lawyer.
Ms. Cookies, have I told you I think I'm in love w/you? Well, if I haven't, I'm saying it again. I've met very few women who share my passion for sci-fi/fantasy. In fact, I just finished writing a fantasy trilogy. I'll email it to you, if you want. If you respond to this post, I'll add my email and send you the first book in .pdf format. It is pretty long, clocking in at nearly 400,000 words. The next two are even longer. I'll give you a description... you know, if you read this and reply. I love your videos. Thanks for keeping up your work and giving us more than one video per month. -M. S. Myers
Filming schedule, premise, main actor, how many episodes have been written, where it will premier, how many seasons have been ordered, paragraphs of quotes from the creator. Seems like I added a few details with all of that.
I find that I can't really be "excited" about anything in these identity politics over everything else first times. No matter how talented someone like Gilligan is (and he is admittedly very talented) it all comes down to how much creative control he has and how much leeway he is allowed by the producers and Apple (the woke is strong with them, so that's cause for concern) as to whether the show will be any good. It also all depends on how many actually decent writers there are in this show's writing room. The writing stable for Breaking Bad was good; but, though that may have only been a decade ago, it might as well be from the 19th century in terms of how different the TV landscape and TV writing staff are now from just a decade ago. At any rate, it is these days my policy to have a reviewer whose opinion I trust first vet an entertainment property before I ever click on anything associated with it or register any viewing minutes for it. Hollywood and their bought and paid for corral of industry sycophants and proven liar media reviewers on sites like Rotten Tomatoes can clearly not be trusted to say anything true about a piece of filmmaking or a TV show, so, I guess we'll just have to wait until the vetting is in on Gilligan's new show. I don't really care for Seehorn by the way, so that's a negative already. I really wish someone else would have been cast.
Maybe turn the sound or subtitles on. I detailed the setting, filming schedule, premise, main actor, how many episodes have been written, where it will premier, how many seasons have been ordered, paragraphs of quotes from the creator.
@@NerdCookies Other than it was sci-fi I heard nothing about premise and the rest is of little interest to me. What is the show about? What kind of Sci-fic story?

Vince was a writer on The X-Files, so he has had his foot in sci-fi long before Breaking Bad.
Ah, just what I needed at end of my work day on a friday! Thanks for all the work you do to report on these things we all enjoy!
Anything Gilligan does has my imitate interest.
Thanks for the heads up on this!

Please make it ASAP. I don't care if it ends up being bad. we must watch the new Vince thing!
This is exciting. And I've always liked Rhea Seehorn in BCS, so her casting is welcome news too.
I wish Vince could helm a Sliders reboot since my man Tracy was taken way too soon. It would be assured in his hands.
If he were to work on an expanse type of series would be such sweet, hell even a berserk type series

Afternoon Cookies yayyy!!!🤩🤩🤩
As a true XFiles fan, I wish him all the best. He'll do good.
I would think this show is going to drop in 2025, if they started filming this winter!
The Lone Gunmen actually predicted 9 11

So excited by this news
Thanks Elaine

Dr. White, we need to change our reality!
I'm onboard. At this point, I'd follow Vince Gilligan anywhere.
Hear me out, here...
Vince Gilligan does a Firefly re-boot.
Fridays. Cookies. Nerdery. Today is a good day.
Damn I was hoping he'd be making a movie of his game Pile of Bullets.
Hope. 🙏
Have you watched the animated series Pantheon?
What is the Sci-fi series going to be on?
VG'S one of the best humans on the planet
The science part of this science fiction better be interesting
magnets confirmed
A bit vague but intriguing
Bravo Vince. Yes, I went there.

I hope it's not yet another dystopian future. I'm tired of dystopian futures
Not a fan of BB, but I love his older work and the passion that he still carries. I just hope this will be more up my alley!
I'll check it out, although I never thought of X-Files as sci-fi, even if there might be aliens running around.
Am I the only one who hadn’t heard of “the loan gunman”?
Lone, and probably not it was a hard core X-Files fan show, that was brilliant, stupid Fox.
He should be concerned about the fans and nervous.
So he's making a semi-scfi-fi series but no details other than that, gotcha, lol.
Filming schedule, premise, main actor, how many episodes have been written, where it will premier, how many seasons have been ordered, paragraphs of quotes from the creator. Seems like I added a few details with all of that.
