You should watch their other channel sabaton history where they go in depth about the history and a little about the song itself and they have english version too
This is a title song from their Carolus Rex album (about the Swedish empire), released in 2012 in both Swedish and English and it has since reached quadruple platinum status in Sweden. They recently released new lyric videos for English versions of songs, and now they are doing the same with Swedish versions, to coincide with their Swedish tour. Most songs from the album have similar lyrics in Swedish and English, with some minor differencies, except En Livstid I Krig (A Lifetime Of War). I recommend checking out both Swedish and English versions. Swedish is my favourite, even though I don't speak Swedish
I actually prefer the English version of "Carolus Rex", even tho I'm a Swede. With "En Livstid I Krig" it's quite the opposite, there I need the Swedish version. I've never thought of Pär as a "stepping out" bass player. ;)
Karl XII (Karl den tolfte) in Swedish or Charles XII (Charles the twelfth) in English. Carolus is just his latin name and "Rex" of course means king in latin.
It's great that their songs stand out in either language! In Swedish, it just.sounds more passionate!

Dude, listen to the English. This my favorite Sabaton. And I’m a Polak putting that above their Polish history songs. That’s SAYING A LOT.
