Festool USA provided a RO-90 DX multi-mode sander for me to review. This is the newest sander in the Rotex line and combines the features of the older DX-93 sander.
Clip 1 is the review discussing the sander.
Clip 2 is a demo of its use stripping oil-and-varnish finish from a Teak door I am refinishing. This clip ends with a side-by-side demo of the RO-90 in delta mode against the DTS-400 sander for comparison.
Clip 3 is a demo of its use stripping and sanding rails, stiles, and 'flats' of a large Oak cabinet. Хобби
Informative straight forward vids. Good job. Going out to buy the RO 90. Woohoo!!
How true about watching sanding👍
I just bought the Rotex 90 love the smaller size and the dual heads even thought its a little smaller which is fine because I al so have the Rotex150 so I think i have all sanding you might need covered .
What is your opinion on the dust collection of these? Would I be able to run this in a bedroom and not have a film of dust on the dresser? Does the rotex 90 come with the attachment or is that sold separately?
Anyone know what the difference in the modes do or what they're for?
Must. Get. One. ...
What number abrasive are you using?
It's been awhile, but I believe P120; less likely, P180
it seems to me like it needs a ton of pressure to work.
get the fucking machine and use it . who cares about the details .
