couldn't agree with you more. This was my first introduction into the festool universe and I have not looked back since. I've refinished multiple pieces of furniture on this sander alone. This little guy pays off in no time.
Mine arrived today. Just took several layers of ancient paint drips off the closed stringers of a staircase. And levelled some plaster behind copper pipes using the extended thingy. It's expensive, but a quality item. Nothing quite like it. I've got a Sealey Mirka clone for the 150 stuff. Which works just fine with the Festool dust extractor.
I can attest to the hand fatigue that comes with a high-vibration oscillating sander ; can get painful after awhile. Nice to know that a tool company considered that!
I discarded the idea of purchasing this sander long ago. After this video, mine is shipping tomorrow. Thank you from a fellow Oklahoman. Your videos are great. I hope for more videos on being a landlord and fixing rental property. Reviews of quality tools are great too.
Wow! Remember theres a 30 day return on Festool also so if it doesn’t work for your style you aren’t stuck 😊 I like doing videos on the rentals but for some reason people dont watch them very much. I still like to sprinkle them in. Ive picked up several neat commercial contracts lately and I’m hoping to do some videos about how that has all worked out as well. It’s been really enjoyable work! Where are you located in Ok?
This sander is so expensive, but your video really explains why I need it for refinishing cabinets. I love that your tools are dusty. I wonder about all the tool videos with shiny perfect tools.
The RO90 was my first Festool sander also. Got one back in 2012 and been hooked on good dust extraction since. Plus it's a selling feature for jobs. I probably use the ETS 150 the most as ive burned through a few of them over the years.
This is true. The RO 90 is kind of Niche but it fits in about 3-4 niches 😅 rotex, random, delta and extended delta. I use the others the most but man I have to have this one available for touch ups and random weird spots there’s just no other way to deal with
@@MillisConstruction I just got the new planex sander along with the dust extractor and the surface control light bar & stand I’ve been doing a lot level 5 finishes, with this festool set up is a game changer now just need the set up for when I do my cabinet finishes
Would be nice if I had a memory that went back that far that well 😅 the rotex mode works just like the 125. If I’m not mistaken I did this with fairly high grit paper and I’m sure that affected it a lot.
@@MillisConstruction only problem on the ETS EC is sold out in my area but I picked up RO90. I purchased the hard pad for the RO150 & RO90-I love it. I’m not really sold on keeping the ETS125. I’ll think I’ll wait and get the ETS EC 150 when they come back in stock. Thanks man, keep pushing the video-you BIG TIMING NOW us little people are getting left😂
Lol whatever! You’re an original 😎 It’s crazy how fast this channel has grown the last month or two, I think I got nearly 800 subscribers just this past month.
@@MillisConstruction that new setup you got is banging! But really your original in personality but you also review what people want, have, or, wish listing. We are fortunate to have! I know I’ve bought products based on you-All German made and never to break.
My pad is not coming off. Turned it into the triangle mode, then it locks when I turn it counter-clockwise pad facing me and I can’t turn it any further. I tried to do the same thing with the green button pushed down and same thing. It’s not coming off. Very frustrated.
Thanks for another informative video. Been trying to find a reason to add the RO90 to my arsenal of Festool sanders. I didnt know you could get the extended Delta pad. I think i have found a reason now . Thanks. Btw does the dust extraction work with the extended delta pads ?
50 USD for that rubber pad is just waaaaay to expensive here in Croatia. Same price in Norway. Jeeez it costs Festool 1 USD to make it. That's why I own no Festool. They are to greedy. I stick to my Bosch 150. Nice video btw
Yeah, but you have no problem buying cheap Chinese trash tools that use sweat labor, huh? You get what you pay for, not just the product but also the company standards, customer service, and economical influences. I buy only festool now. Because I know the high cost of low priced junk.

Simply the best all round sander. Had mine over 5 years and still going strong, used almost every working day.
This was the first Festool tool that I purchased. I’ve beat the heck out of it and it keeps on asking for more. Couldn’t be more satisfied.

Yes spot on with the description! I bought one a few years ago , retuned it and then I realized what a mistake and bought it back!
Also I use this as a mini plane to level small imperfections on boards

I do own one of these , and I smiled during the whole video , because it is so True , great videos thanks !!

Mine definitely work for a living 😅
Very nice presenter, good vibe and definitely very informative. I like this guy, and yes, i am buying this tool tomorrow.

Thank you sooo much .This will probably be my next festool and needed this
Mighty handy little sander! I’m glad it was helpful 😁
The RO90 was my 1st Festool sander too. It was the beginning of my Festool addiction 😔
Slippery slope!
Finally made it to the festool gang ! This is going to be my next purchase
Awesome! What’re you running now?

Thanks. This was a helpful video. Calling it the Multi-tool of Sanders is apt.
I have a DTS 400 - my first Festool sander, would you recommend this as my second or go for something else first instead next?
Were you using the rotex mode when you first started sanding? It didn’t look like it was taking off much material. Rotex usually is very efficient

That got me as well. Turns out you have to turn it the other way first, but you've probably worked that out by now.
Figured it out but I don’t know if I would change it that often. It’s a bit of a hassle.

Yes the dust extraction works in the delta mode.
Thanks Ron
I’ve been looking into switching over to Festool..in your opinion what is the best site to order from?
I order most of mine from Beaver Industrial Supply, they’re close to me too though so that’s part of the reason.
@@MillisConstruction only a couple hours from me as well. Appreciate the info 👍
