I listened to Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan at his seminar in 1971 or 72. It was beyond my understanding then. Now in 2014, I've been listening and reading. My son who wasn't even born until 1976 grew up reading the poet Rumi and learned and lived Sufism. I realize what a privilege it was to a have met this man. I have my son's books now, so I plan to read more as a tribute to him and to these teachers he admired and loved.
Thanks for this beautiful remembrance of Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan. Your love shows through, Jeffrey Mishlove. I was so privileged to have met him. He touched my soul and there were times I felt he was speaking directly to me. Fahrusha
Thanks Jeffrey for sharing Pir Vilayat and his son, Zia, with all of us. This kind of reminds me of having an interview with Moses or St. Paul or Yogananda. Their 'frequencies' are still changing the world.
Thank you for this. I too am grieving the loss of a beloved cat. My human self is full of love and tears for my furry friend. My Divine Me sees her all the time. She thinks this is Paradise because she was happy here. Now she can go home because the human me is ready to let go. It has taken three weeks, which felt like months, of longing, tears, regret, more tears, yearning, tears, sadness and finally, acceptance. She deserved for me to mourn and grieve so much for so long. She was such an awake person. Animals are people too.
@@roseannereddy9687 Thank you from my heart for writing this. Just wow. 🙋💓 My old puppy mill Shih Tzu - a rescue who was barely 2 lbs when we found her - passed on her 18th birthday. A few days later, I could've sworn I heard her old bark - the happy, youthful bark she had before all the pills, old age, etc. Although I have gifts of mediumship and know we all survive these fragile bodies, I blew it off...🐾🌺💗 A few days after that, I heard it again, but this time, the giant poodle 🐩💗 - her bestie - awoke from a deep sleep across the room and looked right at the spot between the floor and wall where from whence Tallulah's bark seemed to emanate. 😂Then I felt better. Ah, I thought - proof! Then I had to laugh after I imagined people responding, "I see... and your poodle heard it, to?' I'm beginning my seventh decade on this planet. Making a list of souls I hope to see "over yonder" - many are people I've never met/seen in flesh. Yet when I read a comment like yours, I know that heaven will be a richer, more beautiful and delightfully populated place than I'm capable of merely imagining today. Here's to our beloved animals and all the like spirits who understand. Pax et lux. 🔭🌌🌟🕉️
We are part animal ego and part "divine"/creator/human consciousness. We must embrace that most human part of us, an animal is asleep, locked in a fight to survive, they are like many people who're yet to awaken, trapped in a cycle of doing but not questioning and not realising their potential. Humanity needs to awaken and to transcend the unconscious animal instincts to conform to dogma and hierarchy; When we do this collectively we will have the ability to build a paradise on Earth. :)
"Creative imagination is -somehow- monitoring the programming of the universe... and fantasizing as getting alienated from the order" ... WOW..... you are describing The Tragedy of my life!!! kind of funny and exciting realize my tragedy is actually a bliss.... (OK I was starting to sense that but it's a kind confirmation).. wow .. so what I was suffering from was actually a thing to celebrate..? I don't know but sounds like great news! thanks~!
I say it like this...I am the Being, Man is me...if you understand Being to be the Perfect Awareness of Consciousness that is Perfectly Aware of Itself and Man is the part that is in search of that Perfect state of Being then you understand what I am is to me And what Me is to me....C...
He is moving to the area where angels fear to tread. Having an Islamic background he cannot pronounce as Mansoor did in Islamic traditions when he declared Anal Huk ( I am Allah ) and was crucified. He is writing for the Westerners. Bulleh Shah, the propounder of Sufism ( a sect of Islam ) who was a revolutionary of his time, declared Anal Huk but survived.
