I think we're just playing the human game for most of the time. When you approach enlightenment from this angle, you could say that the motivation ruins the project. Because I feel this great feeling or what ever you want to call it, is not about trying. You get anxious about not getting this feeling, and if you are lucky you give up. By truly giving up on myself even for a moment, I noticed that the worry was gone and life seemed to justify itself. You are living stardust! Isn't that enough?
He is right! He talk truth! But nobody like him because of that. I don't like him, but I have to listen to both side! I am glad that UG have been here and share that he know. Osho and ug balance the truth. RUclips is the king
Enlightenment is not necessarily some uber-mystical thing, but traversing the mist can be a path to enlightenment. Enlightenment is simply the understanding & knowing of the unshakable truths about the nature of reality. The unshakable truths: - God is Good - God is Grace - God is Perfection Spinoff insights from the unshakable truths: - Peace & Love are intrinsic to all of existence - God has our back at all times - Suffering is merely like a scary movie for an immortal and eternal spirit
Osho is one man, that is his opinion, thousands would disagree. For me psychedelics opened up doors in my mind, I have no urge to do them again but appreciate the lessons the taught me
If you describe enlightenment as a final knowing, I'm skeptical, but you mean the kind of a personal eureka that brings inner peace, and relieves some of your deepest personal conflicts, I nod and smile in agreement.
We've just posted the full, unedited Part One of this Mystique of Enlightenment interview with U.G. Krishnamurti. Go to the Thinking Allowed Channel to view it. Enjoy.
In other words: We give meaning to something that may or may not exist. Dope :3 I like the idea of being 'limited edition' and 'rare'. Kinda glorifying my ego, in a strange way ;o DAMN! >.>
Saying that there is no such thing as enlightenment is a welcome challenge to those who seek and seek, but don't stop to look what's around them. This enlightenment/waking up feeling however definitively exist at least as an experience. We can maybe agree that eureka! moments do exist, but you cannot attain the moment as your own. And it is the same with enlightenment. PS. Sometimes you have to seek the impossible to you exhaust yourself, and if are lucky you'll give up and find what is real.
Meditation leads to more thinking. And thinking leads ro philosophizing. Philosophizing to confusion and wrong insights. Confusion to frustration and unhappiness.
Maybe the "bad" thing about seeking enlightenment is that to seek something is to admit you don't have it - but in Heart or higher consciousness, we do. We're already multidimensional and very aware - just not in the 3D conscious mind, which is such a tiny part of what/who we truly are So, bottom line, to seek something is to push it away from you - by acknowledging you don't have it, already. Besides, if all time is actually simultaneous, then putting anything into the "future" makes no sense
i agree with him that a thought itself is dead and the question of enlightenment itself is a thought one has---which is dead. Essentially the search for enlightenment is more harmful to one and essentially is bs.
Re incarnation is an ingenious bluff invented by brahmanas in ancient time. It served two purposes. One, The people were made to believe that the rulers and brahmanas were not to be accounted for their exploitation. The divine wheel of re incarnation or rebirth determines who would be born as poor and rich. Secondly, every one would accept it as unalterable and silently give in to the domination of the ruling class. The idea of re incarnation was the founding stone of a class divided society.
One can't describe the indescribable. It is something that needs to be experienced. As regards someone claiming enlightenment doesn't exist, having not even made an attempt to discover it... well that's quite preposterous really. They needn't have bothered building a large hadron collider, they should have just paid someone to say if it did or didn't exist.
He is concerned only about what the body is interested in . Thought is responsible for all our desires including the desire for enlightenment. Body is not interested even in pleasure. It does not experience death.
In body there is no such thing as a question. It cannot generate a question! It always waits what the mind will say a then it obediently follows..But no such thing as a thought exists in a body...but again can the body exist without the mind?..I think not. our purpose here is to contact the body but this can not be done through the mind..there has to be a different means..and its neither the body nor the mind..yet I believe there IS a means which doesnt lie in the realm of the mind...
so how about truth through the observance of nature? even a child can search his/her consciousness and find turth. And Is not thought consciousness? Am I confused? Is he confused?
UG is not really fully enlightened. Remember that he said he had no one to tell him what was going on? If UG was fully enlightened some of the questions he asked in his book wouldn't have been spoken by him. He still has a great deal of cultivation to do. He may have reached a state of being a little enlightened but he is not a Buddha.
...secondly, he is rejecting the idea of BECOMING enlightened, which is a pursuit. An enlightened mind does not want, need or pursue, so you must give up the very idea of enlightenment itself...in fact give up all wants, pursuits and needs. Your mind tries to make its pursuits about something, the goal is to give up all these silly ideas and simply be, this is what he calls the 'natural state', when the mind gives up and simply is. All these higher goals are the mind entertaining itself.
@CuckYourFouch u nailed it .sir ur absolutely right ........ he is honest no doubt ...both of them go through same experiences but ug was not prepared for it .......that static state of liberation ...ug would be full of life force ....when experience come death of everything nightmare starts.......he called it ""calamity"...lol .....its buddha state it is for those who want get rid of matter and mind ........not for eveyone
yes, LSD shows what is already there. but the realisation of Brahman is also discovering something that has always been there. it doesn't matter what occasions it - meditation, psychedelics, etc. Brahman was always there in the seat of your own consciousness. LSD can facilitate this discovery
@Pragai777 what u mean hinduism and vedas cover all of ug??????? ug is unique he opens new possiblities for the human species ..."thought is ur enemy"...he has fierce intellect yes he can destroy u and ur deep rooted beliefs if u fall in love with ur goals , thinking and value system....therefore ur counter ug ..
Yes...I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU,... Mr Dharmaraj Suman....... His theory is a medley of confusion. what he intends to say is real confusion,he goes on linking different thoughts in a narrative, which takes away the meaning attached to each such 'idea' into a collection of confusion & makes no sense. whosoever calls him a great thinker is just out of his mind. he says pleasure leads to pain & all that is in the thought, thought eventually determines experience. what is so different about it.? he deals with death as something that thought stops, until one finds that one's thought is ceased, then death, further he says death is continuation. what in hell is he going to tell us.? there is lot of misunderstanding, misconception, & intermixing of different ideas into a mess, which brings nothing.!....i totally fail to understand, how such medley of confusion, & dissipate thought can bring out coherence of something to grasp at.!!!....this cannot be philosophy, but a condition of inability,or denial of truth as it exists. BHAGAVADGITHA answers each & every question pertaining to human life with a clarity, & lucidity never imagined by man. we must be humble enough to proceed in the path given to us by LORD KRISHNA and not depend upon these insane philosophy of disjointedness propounded by such CHARLATANS serving their own ulterior purposes.
suryanarayana begur totally agree with you in the part of confusion he so confusing especially when we start to compare him with the people who came to make our lives better and easier like Buddha, prophet Mohammed,Jesus...
There seems to be an idea amonst those that have not gone through that radical shift that once you do you will be a nice person who never feels anger. This blatantly isn't true. Operating in the 'natural' state does not mean that you like people or are kind to them or want to help them. Why would it? It just means you are functioning differently.
If there is no You, Who are they sending bills to? Who is taking the LSD? Who is typing? If no You, Who is talking? Don't sell yourself short. I think God has a better way of looking at life. He says you exist, you are loved, and that He died for your moral turpitude (sin). If you believe he died for your sin, you will spend eternity Him. I think that's a better offer than LSD. Btw, who defines enlightenment among those who supposedly don't exist?
no death for the body because the real body must be formless and connected with the entire universe? Is he referring to that aspect of it or something entirely different?
***** He also has said that even the body is an idea and could be nothing more than a concept as well. The point he makes is that there is something there but there's no way to know what it is, no need to know and no one to know.
***** I never said he was right and he never said you should believe one word he ever said. Dalai Lama and his associates did have help from the CIA. As far as the moon landing I was't there so I won't speculate on that. You can't research what he was talking about and there's no need to research it. For what? To build another complex thought structure rooted in your own labels, ideas, concepts and interpretations. No thanks.
Well, is there anything after the death of the body? If experience requires a nervous system, does the death of the nervous system mean no more experiences? And does this mean there is absolutely nothing after the physical body dies? I guess that's not so bad.....there would be no one there to protest against the nothingness.
I think it's a little arrogant of him to proclaim there is no such thing as enlightenment just because HE never found it. "I never found enlightenment" would have been closer to the truth. I was a knuckle dragging, testicle scratching macho before I took LSD and similar drugs, which revealed to me altered states and ancient wisdom that just poured into my head from the ether. I realised I couldn't take chemicals forever, so I tried meditation and attained the same states.
if you are a enlightened man you would never call your self a enlightened man. a dissolution of the ego is what you say you have? if so then there is no you & there is nothing to have. LSD is entertainment nothing more just like church drinking & DMT.
"Only through the help of the knowledge that is given to us by these so called sages saints and saviors of mankind. So is it possible for you to be conscious of anything without the help of that knowledge?" HAHAHAHA No way through the mind... no such thing as "consciousness" hahahaha he's so right
I am so funny. I see intelligence as viscousness it's self and in its results. This goes for words, ideas concepts theories and the belief systems they form. The best way to get my joke is to review what you know about spirit possession. People who are possessed by others that are not themselves. When you expand on what is possessing you from ghost and demons to ideas and beliefs and language. Hilarious. That stuff that is not you, taking over and operating you and then you say this is me.
Seems like a very life-negating viewpoint he is espousing. The sexual force is integral to our beings and matters in spiritual evolution. At its highest, it is a force for union. Trying to jettison it through intellectual posturing is dishonest. What matters is HOW sexuality is approached, not that it is. This teaching seems to completely miss the mark. And to say that consciousness is not real is nihilistic.
what is he talking about?.. serious.. he is over thinking Life and he even questions rather or not he exsist?.. this is just a man trying to talk like he is greater than a man.. created by something that may be greater than him.. why worry about what is greater than you?.. simply Live this great illusion he claims we live.. i didn't create sex into pleasure.. it just brings me pleasure in a holy union.. i like sex.. Love holy unions.. Bless
HA HA you do not know me yet you judge me. there is no me. LSD has been in this body many times & you will get a stronger trip if you put a plastic bag on your head for 5 mins.
He is talking nothing original. Hinduism and the Vedas covers all of UG. UG is cheap second hand car sales man.......,,,yes they know about cars too but are more focused on selling, so is UG.

The more you want something, the greater effort it takes to get it. I think that's what he's talking about.
Good
Exactly. Once you reach. You no longer have.
You can just forget about putting it into words, won’t help you
Yes, U.G. you are in TRANSCENDENCE......

Cool! I did similar. 15 years of so. I did give it up in the end. I went on to resolve inner conflicts.
u.g. is the purest materialist i've ever seen...it's like sith teachings

Prophetic...wow..perpetual exstacy existence all is words and commands...being wake fun and pleasurable then sleep is pleasure very amazing energy...

fqacinating thnk you
Repeat viewings of this are recommended. Don't you sense something resembling 'wisdom,' inherent in his remarks? Extremely lucid. Thank you.
you can have any experience you want your mind to give you.

U.G. KRISHNAMURTI......................................ONLY THE TRUTH !!!
good point. They say that those who seen the Tao, see the Tao in and out of meditation. That's why I said he's not Buddha.

Avoid people who think they know or don't know.
it is not LSD that "makes" you enlightened, LSD is just a key that allows you to open the door to enlightenment. It is an aid to meditation.
Where can I see the full interview, thanks,

Are you continually in that state? Otherwise its just another experience.
so how about truth through the observance of nature? even a child can search his/her consciousness and find turth. And Is not thought consciousness? Am I confused? Is he confused?
No, they are unrelated. However, they met several times.
@mmlight Does having many affairs/lovers preclude one from being an angel?!

imho, it depends, i think his talk is directed to thought. i.e. for thought there is no enlightenment.

I didn't know UG Krishnamurti was a biologist/psychologist, demonstrated by all of his explanation of how humans work. Ok...

This chap has memorized J.Krishnamurti , he is the carbon copy of JK . Only difference is he is violent and egoistic.
no...Krishnamurti is a common name in that part of India like mike is here.
dopamine detected = no worries = this must be enlightenment
hmm
LSD only shows what is already there. i have have crazy trips off of heavy work outs just as i have on LSD DMT or 2 oz of RAW COCOA.
As I understand from this video, nobody understands anything
He sounds like Bruce lee
Drugs can't make you enlightened, just read Osho's LSD - A False Shortcut To Samadhi, to conclude here in fewest words...
