    Couple of tips. If you put course sea salt as a layer it not only keeps it from going rancid quicker, but it is very decorative & good for your skin. Second tip, don't use vegetable oil. Grapeseed oil is fine, sunflower like you uave already tried, almond oil is very moisturizing. My go to is Jojoba oil. It is the best & most moisturizer for the skin. It's a little pricey tho.
    But I really enjoyed your video! You made your bottle look so gorgeous 💕🥀

    if your gonna use that oil on skin or face you should use something other than veg oil cos thats for cooking purposes and its not good for skin

      The Untapped Series : it smells nice really , I really like it. It smells like roses but in a soft way. I made rose water too and put it on my face every morning and two friends told me my skin looks very nice. Gosh, I wish you lived around here I would love some foot reflexology. I am healing from a bad break up and need some attention.. 😔

    Coconut oil would work the best for this. Avoid vegetable oil as they cause inflammation in the body due to the process of making

    Not sure why everyone is being so mean about her oil choice. Veg. Oil is mostly made from soybeans, with sometimes corn, peanut, and canola. What is the difference between any other oils, at least you know it is FDA approved. Jeez

    I totally agree with other commentators.How do you use vegetable oil for the skin? On the top if you would like to use for face? I have never seen nor saw any videos so far using vegetable oil for the skin especially face? May be almond oil with Vitamin E oil drops could help. Just a thought

    preservative is needed to make it last, if there is any water in that it can go bad quickly. i made one a few years back, it molded. so im going and have made some with crushed dried rose petatls. turned out great. Love the jar you have chosen. let us know how yours turns out!

      @@cynthiaallen8657 I used optiphen the regular kind...it does not contain formaldyhyde or benzene certain preservatives turn toxic with high vitamin oils, I. Going to stick with a long lasting oil as I thought grapeseed oil was great, shelf life is only 6 months or less

      Fractionated coconut oil and jojoba work great, if your heating to make infused oil for the liquid coconut it doesn't have the fat and can burn, you cannot leave unattended it'll burn :0(

I’m worried about the carrot water losing nutrients in the freezer but read that maybe I could blanch them carrots first and then blend them? What do you think?:)

      @@cynthiaallen8657 make sure to filter, sometimes any remaining matter can cause it to go bad, although if you freeze it...try ice cube tray until frozen the. Put into airtight container this way it can be thawed and used in small portions. I'm saving my aloe in freezer this way so I don't have to add preservatives until I make shampoo or conditioner. You may lose vitamins, dehydrated carrots can help and then only powder when needed then made into something as long as they are stored well they shouldn't go bad....look up recipes some however arent that good but best to find what you like. Oil and water don't blend well so not a good choice without preservative. Hope it helps

    Cooking oil or vegetable oil might cultivate the roses oil however you cannot use that on your body lol vegetable glycerine, coconut oil, grapeseed oil, and any other SKIN FRIENDLY oils would work way better my friend. I do not think you should tell people to use vegetable oil for their rose oil.

      Heather Huber ..... of my friends used cooking oil on her belly while pregnant. She didn’t get any stretch marks at all.

    It may be worth noting that everyone - if they want should look into making sure that the roses haven't been sprayed with pesticide. I'm also thinking maybe using Organic Coconut oil that doesn't have the smell which I think is called MCT oil - I would suggest some research on the MCT processing first though. Thanks

      All coconut oil is organic. What you are looking for is UNREFINED not refined coconut oil.
      Also, MCT OIL is liquid and does not seem to stain my clothing. It works well for roller balls.

    The pink and white roses look attractive in the jar. You could use this on your hands (your skin looks quite dehydrated here, though your nails and cuticles are healthy) :o)

      @@onlineamazingdeals9176 You could, though in the vid @ 1:42 Shelley says she tried sunflower oil & the oil scent over powered the rose scent. Grape seed oil is light on skin & easily absorbed.

      Maybe. Usually, extra virgin olive oil has its own scent, which may overpower the rose.

    I’m going to use grapeseed oil, I’ve heard it’s got great skin benefits but I’ll do a bit more research before getting started, I suggest you all do the same but I doubt you need me to tell you 😅😅😅😊

    Any carrier oil would work (almond, avocado etc), but not vegetable oil. I wouldn't even recommend that for cooking (trans fats).

      Yes it should work as long as it's liquid at room temperature. Here' where I live it's always a solid at room temperature but if you live in a warmer climate that should work.

      If the coconut oil has a strong smell it will likely cover up the scent of the roses.

      You can use any color of rose petals. Just make sure the roses are grown without pesticides.

      Because coconut oil can be a solid at room temperature I don't think it would work well with this process. I haven't tried it though.

      @@brownbarbiem.g7285 I one time did a hair mask overnight with coconut oil, then the next day washed it out, my hair was so soft and nice then I walked outside and it was 14 degrees, it hardened lol, but was fine when I went into work and warmed back up.

      an organic rose is one grown without chemicals. It's clean:) I only use my home compost on bushes. Before I had my own roses, if I came across a yard of fragrant roses as I asked permission to pick I'd be sure to know how they were grown. No pesticides, chemical sprays etc.

      I agree! I never wash the petals. Let petals dry and put in jar with almond oil. I opened a jar made last year and boy oh boy!!! I asked a couple of people smell a drop on their hands..what do you smell? Roses..that was a winner. The more it sets the better.

    Please don't use vegetable oil on your face its not made for your face but cooking... also if you add fresh petals in oil it will go mouldy as flowers have moisture and that will rot in oil and cause bacterial which isn't good for your skin hope this helps please change your recipe if you can

      I haven't tried that oil. But I think any lightly scented oil would work. I've used sunflower oil and canola oil with this recipe.
