Thank you so much for the document download! Wish I had done this years ago. I am not a tech person, even struggling with my website. So much more to exhibiting than just painting.....Btw: Love your photorealism!
Thank you, especially for explaining how to document the work. I have found that the best way to photograph artwork is to use two halogen lamps without any softbox at a 45-degree angle toward the artwork. Very large artwork may need more lamps. Often I've had the best results by placing the center of the light sources beyond the center of the artwork, so the light sources cross each other. But the trick is to use big polarizing filters in front of the lights and a polarizing filter on the camera. Then, you get control of colors and shades.
Do your edges BEFORE you paint in either a solid color, black, or white gesso and let it fully dry. It will save you hours and hours of trouble and you can paint them later when done or simply touch them up with little mess, or risk to the main painting.
This was excellent. thank you, especially for your document forms.
