Full instructions: 1. Plug in the unit, press and hold for 3 seconds (Burger + Fish + Manual) at the same time. The Steak button will flash 3 times, then remain on. 2. Once the Steak button is solid, open the grill, place a spacer (1½ tall) on the grill then close the lid. Anything will work since the grill is not hot. 3. Press the Steak button and it will flash 3 times. 4. Open the Grill lid, remove the spacer, close the lid and unplug the grill for about a minute. 5. Plug in the unit, press and hold for 3 seconds (Burger + Poultry + Manual) at the same time until your display beeps and shows the blue light. 6. Open the lid and the unit light should turn off. 7. If the unit light turns off, Insert spacer and close the lid. 8. After 10 seconds the unit light will turn green then beep. 9. Open lid, light will turn red and the unit will beep. 10. Remove spacer and close lid. 11. Press the power button 3 times and you will see the light change between the manual modes, Yellow - Orange - Red 14. Unplug the unit. 15. Hopefully your OptiGrill is now recalibrated.
Thanks a lot - I had the unit in for repair and was told they recalibrated it, but it worked once and then was back to being on manual mode only and so I looked fof help and found your video! Even though I lost you there for a bit I ended up switching off and left for a while and at last it didn't go into manual mode and did pre-heat, so YAY and thanks again.
I just recalibrated my optigrill. It took longer than 3 seconds to turn green for me. I think you just opened it again too soon, before it could turn green.

You did better than me mine was 6 years old it had rusted inside. RIP I will get a new grill. I will ask the audience to help on a live stream!
Thank you so much man! You saved us! ❤ I was ready to throw my grill in the trash 😅
Dude my man! Thank you! I had no idea how to fix it I replaced the plates and it was no help
Watch out might be a temp fix
@@BadFoodBlog I hope not I'm going to be really sad if this thing breaks 💔 you can't really beat the fact that it cooks both sides at the same time

Yeah mine gave up eventually
Stuck at the meat is not blinking after pressing it with a book under it
When I press burger, chicken and manual it turns blue and beeps but also sandwich lites up and it goes into a different calibration mode. Sigh
That's part of the calibrating process. I just posted the full instructions.
I did this a few times before I realised that there were no problems if I switched it off at the mains after use.
I hate peel off films!
Mine went in the bin during the move, a grill does not need to be this smart! I may buy another later but £200 is a lot for two hot bits of metal.
How can you call that Food?
Well it helped me make bad food!
