basically if want to find how does a Note 7 explode you have to use direct heat. what your doing is like wrapping an ice in a aluminum tin foil and put it in the microwave, the ice doesn't melt. the aluminum foil around the battery protected the battery itself from the microwave!

Why do you need to know if your phone can explode are people accidentally dropping there phones in microwaves so people have to do reviews to show what happens to every phone?
Most note 7's are safe. only a hand full where actually bad. I still have mine and i have worked on many of them replacing parts ect. yes they do get hot but that don't mean its going to catch fire. the processor side gets really got screen does to. But the battery stays cool. I have both the replacement and original still to this day. the phone has been dropped taken apart act. still works like a boss samsung should have never recalled them like they did they lost so much money over it. the note 7 is the king of performance in the cell world. And now only a few left in thr world and i have two of them. a coral blue and a silver platinum one. And and I'm watching this video on my original blue note 7
