@@somebodyoutthere Yeah, but Combat in Hollow Knight feels horrible compared to Nine Sols. It's just I-frames and aerial madness spam, while Nine Sols has a lot more depth to it. The story in Hollow Knight (while deep) is hidden, and isn't really anything amazing or innovating, just some cool, massive lore. While Nine Sols has a REAL story, that has lots of emotional, cultural and lifestyle depth to it. I keep saying it wherever I discuss the two: Don't compare them. They're very different and they focus on different things. Nine Sols only takes some elements from Hollow Knight that fit in with the gameplay, other than that it's not like HK. The fact that you like one over the other comes from what's important to you, not because one game is inferior to the other.
Just some suggestions for a good metroidvanias but you’ve got Ultros, Moonscars, Ender Lilies, and of course axiom verge 1 and 2. There are so many good MV’s. It’s so nice.

Can recommend Cookie Cutter to this list as well. It came out *very* late in 2024. Plays solid, cool and colorful sci-fi/cyberpunk world of monsters, mutants, freaks, aliens and robots and more, and there's more planned for the future. Characters, weapons, story beats, environments, bosses, etc. There is currently work on nigh full voice acting and ports to console. I love it a lot and hope the full tale may be told as support, skill and time allows for it.
Nine Sols needs to come to consoles like..yesterday lol 😂 Skelethrone is pretty fun! Loving that game so far even though I'm close to beating it already and "f" that last boss in friggin' Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus! 😡 Never has a boss/chase sequence been more frustrating bcuz the developers didn't put in checkpoints throughout that pain in the butt chase the boss sequence and furthermore you have to start the whole dang thing over again if u die which most likely u will 😡 very ridiculous
My fellow gamers ,any tips for the last phase for the final boss in nine sols? Like my dude becomes so fast and does the anime style attacks ( the ones where he just vanishes and we see a white lime go across and we get hit ,or him going off screen of sort and charging at us from somewhere and so on ) Any tips ?
@@peterc504 might not be on the list but there’s 2 “ori” games, “Ori and the blind forest” and “Ori and the will of the wisps” they are very visually beautiful and the platforming is super fun! Currently finishing the second game right now and it heavily improves on the first one. Check them out.

Animal Well is one of the best metroivanias. It's very interesting and special compared to others
