Ikea Commercial for Ikea Canada's New Collection Robert Muraine Sugamai Johnson NOW OFFERING PRIVATE LESSONS! PLEASE EMAIL ME FOR INFO! mrfantastic@live.com
This was historical for dance in general. Used to watch this videos when i was 9! now im 22 and i understand your impact with SYTYCD appearence. this is art!
Just brilliant, seriously though kudos to the girl for keeping a straight face while Robert's doing his thing right next to her, he always brings me to tears laughing. Grats with your gig, hope you find more success
i can't look at you dance without having a huge smile on my face. this commercial is like the dancing version of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. i'm seriously happy that people are starting to notice you more now. SYTYCD changes lives!
Great!!! congrats to IKEA for listening to ME... and specially for creating content for ME not just uploading another 30 sec film taken from tv... keep up the good work and this should be an example for other brands that want to communicate with ME!
Was this commercial never played in the USA? Why haven't I seen it before? It is one of the best commercials I have ever seen. It is extremely entertaining and me actually makes me want to run to the store and buy their stuff.
Amazing!!!!!!! How he was on SSYTYC just a few short years ago!! Wow!!! Just like Nigel said!!! He's in commercials and he's performing around the world!! Congrats Robert!! You deserve all of this man. Cheers on the hodo sodo wrack me up!
The bit that you worked out with the arm lamp is brilliant, as is the part showing you switch on the standing lamp. Funny how the segments that demonstrated your ability to imitate the inanimate objects lent a definite mechanical illusion to what you do. I thought the contrast in dance forms produced an important dichotomy accentuating the difference of opinions. You wonder what the couple's offspring would be like. Best of luck, Robert.
what an awesome surprise, i got home from work and plopped down to watch some tv and this ad came on - it's doubly cool to see you working with Canadian Shugamai Johnson too! (you misspelled her first name in your description and tags btw) i hope this is just the beginning of seeing you on tv more, and movies too, you're just so much fun to watch!
Robert you should hook up for another IKEA commercial. It would be cool if it could be in 3D or VR or at least HD. We want to see your skills today. I appreciate that you are still doing this. God bless you. If he didn't already lol.
She's very fluid, a different style i'd say but Mr Fantastic, you sir are a pioneer in your field. A professional.. I really liked what the judge said in your SYTYCD about enough people seeing what you do and paying you for it. You know you've made it when you can get people to pay you for something you enjoy and is your talent.
Robert is a god! I swear I have never seen anyone move like that before in my life! Robert, if you read this, you should come to Ottawa and do a show! Maybe during the buskers festival or something. I'm sure my dance troupe would LOVE a lesson :)
Nice all of your moves fit nicely into that type of commercial i also did hear some of the same rythems that i have heard in some of the other songs you dance to
For those lookin' for the music, it's not available anywhere at the moment. The people from IKEA remixed "It's Me Bitches" by Swizz Beatz (the music from the original video - you can still hear some original sounds).
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rob was awesome in this video.. I recognized so many moves from his audition but also some incredible new ones... The girl wasnt bad either.. especially the one handed cartwheel.
I used to know ikea for crappy furniture, but now I know them for best commercial ever. 😂😂😂😂. Great performance, never fails to trigger that kid in me laughter. 😂😂😂
Robert, please tell me you have a copy of this in 1080p that you can upload. Also IKEA needs to get the two of you together to do another one. Best commercial ever made and both of you are incredible.
actually, the style the girl specializes in is called 'liquid dance' which uses many more wave figures and there is no mention of mechanics and robots.. that will probably explain to you why she is different. if you think about it from that aspect you can see she's is great at what she does just like Rob at what he does...and mybe R.M. can't do what she does.. so they're both great!!
The chick in the video doesn't suck; she's actually really good - she's just dancing a different style to Robert...Having said that, I do think they would *both* look better seperately. The sad fact of the matter is, because Robert is so insanely out-of-this-world, that anyone dancing alongside him - no matter how good - would still look sub-par.
And here I was, surfing through the youtubes, thinking that Japan was the one with the weird commertials, and somehow, I stumble into this. Good job, America, good job. *claps slowly*
OK TO ALL!!! The song in this vid was made and owned by " IKEA " There is no copy out there as of now. The song dose not even have a name. Sorry I like the song also. But I have talked to the rep's at "IKEA" and they told me they have no intentions of releasing the song : (
My favorite part is when he's arranging the vases on the coffee table...just perfect! I'd like to know where/why they picked the female counterpart. She's good in her own style as well. And yes Robert's facial expressions are priceless!!
The commercial was divided into parts, then they just took the end part of this video, cut it, then stuck it into the part of the video they were going to use. The girl's name is Sugamai Johnson. It say's on the tag box thingy/
Director: "OK, we just want you to move some of these objects into new places across the room, but can u do so over 32 bars each time, and fall down sometimes too" Rob & Suga: "Say no more.." Love you rob -wabz
He's actually wildly attractive in some moments. Oh yeah, and he's a fantastic dancer! Also, not familiar with Sugamai, but she is entertaining as well.
i love how they discovered him and put him in commercials....he really deserved it after being on "So you Think You Can Dance". he is so awesome!
This is the coolest commercial that I ever seen:)

This never gets old It always makes me laugh.

Robert is a god!
I swear I have never seen anyone move like that before in my life!

I'm glad they saw his potential.
I've been a fan since his SYTYCD audition.
Over 10 years and still watching this.
This is great. I'm glad something came of his appearance on SoYouThinkYouCanDance. Wish he would have taken the invite to stick it out on the show.

Robert, please tell me you have a copy of this in 1080p that you can upload. Also IKEA needs to get the two of you together to do another one. Best commercial ever made and both of you are incredible.

Way to go Robert. Dude, I've been waiting for your Ikea commercial to come out! Who's the chick dancing with you?
@Drewb18c1 The girl is Shugamai Johnson. She is a liquid dancer (The guy, Robert Murrain AKA Mr. Fantastic is a popper). :)

The commercial was divided into parts, then they just took the end part of this video, cut it, then stuck it into the part of the video they were going to use. The girl's name is Sugamai Johnson. It say's on the tag box thingy/
Director: "OK, we just want you to move some of these objects into new places across the room, but can u do so over 32 bars each time, and fall down sometimes too"
Rob & Suga: "Say no more.."
Love you rob -wabz
❤️
This guys a legend !!
Hah! That song rocked! Loved the soundtrack to Jet Set Radio/Jet Set Radio Future.
He's actually wildly attractive in some moments.
Oh yeah, and he's a fantastic dancer!
Also, not familiar with Sugamai, but she is entertaining as well.
omg this guy is freaking amazing
Brilliant
@Drewb18c1 The girl is Shugamai Johnson, she is a liquid dancer. (The guy, Robert "Mr. Fawntastic" Muraine is a popper :))
Robert is a popper. Sugami is a lyrical liquid dancer. You should watch their other vids.
all these moves were in his audition !
totally awesome, i'm so glad he found something to do other than street dancing :)
OMG Muraine ROCKS!
They both are good dancers.
AWESOME!
finally they put his talented ass in a commerical. EVERY SENSE THEY COULD HAVE DONE THAT.
im in love with robert muraine
for anyone who cares, she is not trying to dance with robert's style. the point is that they have differnt styles.
Going to check out the latest IKEA catalogue, for frikking sure!! COOLEST VIDEO EVER!!
Booyah! Now you got a pro reel to shop around! Good work. Even if Sugamai has a man, I'm sure you swept her off of her feets.
Brilliant, mang!
Also, I forgot to mention, it's actually waving. Hands together= liquid, arms stretched out is waving.
amazing !!!
Wish commercials were still like this
awesome commercial.

Can someone tell me whats the name of the popping song that is displayed in this video. Its kind of cool.
Love love love it!!
that's off the chain, I'm glad for robert
man... robert manages to look like a stop motion video or something... very nice
I need to hire a popping redecorater.
Robert is a freak. I love him.
amazing~
This song is written only for IKEA, only for this commercial. They said it might be released later, but the swedes perhaps forgot to do so.
I thought you said you had a manager? On your myspace I mean. Awesome job, as well man. You give me inspiration.
