Back in the 80's I used to be a robotic dancer and toured with a show. We went through the UK and abroad. I headlined the show and my theme music was Blue Monday by New Order. It warms the heart to see these dancers still performing this style of dance. Some of them are truly incredible and have taken it to new heights! I'm still very fit for my age and this makes me want to perform again. Some old robots can still dance.
Well, IF you decide to get back into it...Please do AND make a video sir!! I'm sure I'm not the only one commenting here that would love to see some old school dance! I grew up in the 80's and miss that stuff!

All Praise to these VERY TALENTED individuals. I'm 61 now. There was a time in my life I could have made some of these moves. Incredible!
I'm old enough to have been around for the birth of both of these and I just realized that locking and popping or "doing the robot", as they said back in the day, is what evolved into dubstep. I have a lot of respect for dancers who can dubstep, I mean the absolute muscle strength it takes geesh 😯
These kids are amazing! I wish I could’ve done some of these moves back in the day. Holy shit the strength it took just to do the windmill was brutal. But to do that and then go into a one arm handstand?
I grew up as a street dancer in the 80's. Now, I am old and not so much of a dancer. I still remember and am happy to se the younger generations not only taking on the style, but improving and taking to another level. Amazing.
When break dancing came out in the 1980’s I was in my 30’s so I really didn’t give it a lot of notice back then. This video shows some amazing athletes preforming to music. It’s the best break dancing I’ve ever seen. Those with the odd body moves are every bit as talented as those spinning and doing summersaults. I can’t get over just how fast some of them were.
The fact that you recognize now is a compliment to all who do this type of dance. I was lucky I was in junior high when breaking first started and we as kids walked around with a boom box and card board so we can battle other kids in the city, it kept us out of trouble and it was fun ! Im 51 now and I'm amazed how it evolved.
Hell yes I’m 46 and I miss the real Mtv days when they actually played music videos. First song to air was Video Killed the Radio Star by the Bugles on August 1st 1981 🤘😎🤘
I’ve always enjoyed robotic dancing but from its inception, I’ve always loved the athleticism and danger element in break dancing to near obsession. I grew up in the 80s got into it shortly after it began. It was banned in my high school because during the lunch break a couple guys and I would grab sides of cardboard boxes and start showing off our dance moves behind the school’s cafeteria till the day one of the guys popped his shoulder while performing a spin. I spent the 90s backup dancing for recording artists and danced on a couple televised dance shows and in clubs throughout LA. Good times. Great memories. It’s awesome to see these kids doing their thing and putting their own stamp on it.
I'm old and gray now (79) but I love to see people who have the ability to dance to various types of music and show thier expression and love of the music plus their skill in interpreting how the music moves them. for Over many years I have seen people in many countries astound us with how they bring movement into the sound of various types of music. Thank you for videoing it for all to enjoy.
I remember this tune!!! I have to say these kids have taken BREAK DANCING to a whole other level. I mean holy shit. We did the windmill, head spin, the robot the worm etc, all on cardboard or the school floor back in 84. These kids are awesome to watch! I wish I could hold a handstand after I was finished wind Milling…..IMPRESSIVE!

What impresses me the most about the Robotic style is that they do their crazy moves without momentum behind them. Break dance of course is crazy athletic and powerful, but making it look like your legs run on servos when you power up from a prone position on the floor to standing in a smooth motion, that is some next level strength and control.
