  • So yes, it is our Wedding Anniversary today. We went to a lovely French restaurant yesterday for lunch, so tonight was kind of: what now? We’ve been married for 23 years, that’s a lot of meals!!??!! I gave her 3 choices:
    1. Leftover Grilled Sausage Pasta & Garlic Breadsticks
    2. Leftover Chicken, Quesadilla with all the Trimmings
    3. I take her out to Original Pizza for a slice in Blue Springs, MO
    She choose option 1. Here we are. We also had the opportunity to head downtown and have a wonderful lunch (you can check out that photo from earlier today). I hope you all enjoy.
    TIME TO PREPARE
    2 hours for sauce to come together
    10 minutes for water to boil for pasta
    10 minutes to cook pasta
    1 minute to drain pasta
    6 minutes to toast breadsticks
    INGREDIENTS FOR PASTA & SAUCE
    Rotini Pasta
    Cascones Pasta Sauce
    Kirklands Tomato Sauce
    Kirklands Diced Tomatoes
    Leftover Grill Sweet Sausage
    Tube Tomato Paste
    Tube Anchovy Paste
    White Wine
    Breadsticks
    Olive Oil
    HOW TO
    1. Take sausage and cut into small pieces
    2. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and Cascones Original Red Sauce
    3. Add some white wine
    4. Cook down, cook off liquid, let steam escape from pot
    5. Add Pasta Paste & Anchovies paste
    6. Check every 30/40 minutes
    7. Stir
    8. Boil your water
    9. Add pasta noodles. Cook as box instructs (10 minutes for this pasta)
    10. Dump out water (and leave me alone about using my noodle water for other things, I KNOW)
    11. Splash some Olive Oil on the cooked pasta so it doesn’t stick
    12. Bake breadsticks
    13. Bring it all together
    14. Enjoy
