Dallas Tx here. I have followed Diana ever since she went on that Russian talent show and won it at 14. Her performances there will never be equalled or forgotten. What the world has here is a Superstar in the making.
She started off in a minor key, then switched to a Major Key, then went back to minor. I never much cared for how Elvis sang it but now, Diana has crafted a masterpiece that will stun the whole music world.

Although Diana is in a league of her own, (I really don't know whether I'm hearing a hint of polyglot singing or she is producing harmonics at times, let alone her mastery of so many different vocal techniques) Very surprised that she has mastered a type of "yodeling technique" only used in a very small ethnic group in the former Soviet Union, in a different song.
I find that there are some good trained voices in folk music, often accompanied by the more "pop" type instruments. IMO it's wrong to compare - they're just different.
I discovered that perfect pitch is routinely taught to young children learning any instrument in Russia. Wonderful that the state provides many platforms for young musicians through competitions. I wish we did more of that.
I was introduced to it through the sacred music. The choir is essential to hold any service even in small "parish churches". Unaccompanied, untrained voices, singing in parts for 2 hours & different service each week is beautiful, but when we (rarely) get a good "cathedral choir" from Russia, it becomes an "experience". I'm not requesting reviews - just opening the door to the different varieties of specifically Russian music I've found thus far.

Мне кажется, что вы не много не правы. Ютюб сам никогда не будет блокировать выступление Дианы. Это ТВ-канал НТВ выставил Ютюбу такие условие трансляции своего контента, при котором ретрансляция его кем-то другим запрещена. Поэтому реакционеры возмущаются и удивляются, зачем все эти препоны. Кстати, если вы будете брать материал для реакции не от НТВ, а с сайта Дианы, то никаких блокировок не будет.

First episode of I believe 9 episodes Diana was the last singer to perform .. The judges are other singers who are competing against Diana and each other .. and their reaction then is from her peers. They guy with the beard who stood first is a one time guest - he is a famous Opera Tenor in Russia. (the nine singers are the same through all 9 shows with a different guest singer each time). @@TheSpeakEasyLounge It is actually quite a fun watch. This was the first episode .. the third just premiered this past Saturday. Evidently the singers go not get to pick what songs they sing .. shrug .. suppose that is .. 'fair' ... although I question that .. seems to me that a Contralto isn't 'built' fo some songs .. but what do I know :/
