    I purchased the both the 12inch and 10inch Barracudas. These knives are awesome! Hopefully, you will do a video on them. The Finn, Excalibur, Stinger, and Barracuda, are all anyone would want probably for life!

    Hey Half Spin, I like what you've got going with this channel.
    Couple of quick notes on the AceJet Stinger. There are Many different varieties of this knife. It is clearly one of Adam Celadin's favorite designs.
    About the point bending. I've had a set of Stinger D2 steel (8mm thick) and I couldn't imagine bending those. D2 tool steel is extremely tough. And yes, these will stick in cinder brick walls without damage. Crazy tough blades. There are also:
    Stinger (8mm thick), 14260 steel
    Stinger Breaker (10mm thick), 14260 steel
    Stinger Air (6mm thick), 14260 steel
    And most of these come in brushed steel or "Shadow" black coated steel.
    I also love the Osetr design. I do like that the AceJet version "Appache" comes in D2 steel, but $400 for a set of 3 is a bit out there. I'm strongly considering getting the Osetr Origin set from Throwing Zone - set of 3 $150
    Good stuff man, keep 'em coming!!

      Thanks so much for watching. I am just getting started! I have a ton of videos in the works. One video I am working on is an Osetr showdown between the appache, Bug Osetr, flying steel, throwing zone and kizlyar.

      I think you are right about the D2. I have the stingers in spring steel and in D2 and have not bent the tips on the D2 yet. Unfortunately I do not own any breakers...yet :)

      Thank you for your replies. I’ve been throwing half spin and spin and a half off and on for a few years. I’m decent but want to get better. Although I’ve seen some no spin, it was after watching Mr. Celedin throw no spin that I said…I gotta learn that! Your video was very helpful in choosing which knives to get. I ordered the Stinger and the Finn. The Stinger came yesterday and the Finn arrives tomorrow. I got the Stinger for no spin and side-arm throwing, and the Finn for 1/2 spin and the other throws. Thank you again for your video, it did convince me to purchase these knives😃.

    • @halfspin
      @halfspin  Год назад

      All of them are great knives and it is very hard to choose. Everyone always likes the Stinger. I would say just get a set of stingers to start with. It's probably all you need. I can do everything I like to do with the stinger except full spin but I dont throw full spin often anyway and when I do I use a full spin knife. If you get the Stinger, get it in D2. It is worth it.

    • @halfspin
      @halfspin  2 года назад

      I think $100 a knife is a lot to pay but it seems to be the standard. Flying Steel knives are about $100 each same as AceJet. The Lengmuller knives are a bit over $100 each. TomTom knives are a little bit cheaper. Good knives are just expensive. I will have videos coming out where I compare some of these higher quality knives soon.

    Yup, I did it…ordered a set of Excaliburs🫢😵‍💫🙁 Your video I’d very compelling! I’m having tons of fun throwing my Stingers and Finns! For the life of me I cannot get down the no-spin😬🙁🫤😐

    • @halfspin
      @halfspin  Год назад

      Hang in there. It takes a while to get the feel of no-spin. One day it will click. Start off very close to the target. try starting just 6ft away. Dont throw too hard because you dont want it to bounce back at ya. Once you got 6ft down go just a step back. Every day you throw no-spin start close and just do a walk back as you start to get it. Dont ever start the day will a longer no-spin throw. The walk back is great for getting the feel.

    • @halfspin

      What do you think of the excaliburs? I always forget to take out the excaliburs but when I do I really appreciate all the different ways it can be thrown.

      Thank you for your reply and above good advice! I’ve been throwing my Excaliburs half-spin (thumb on blade) and from the handle on rotation. I’m having a lot of fun with these two methods. I did throw them no-spin and had some success from approx. ten feet. I need to get closer as you and Adam suggest. I ordered the Excalibur Breakers to see how they work out. I know I’ve spent a lot, but I want to find which knife or knives that are really me. I’ll tell you, the Finn Breaker is a magnificent piece and I love throwing it. When you hold it it just says “throw me until your arm falls off, then switch to your other one.”😂
