I just want to say thank you for all your videos. I am retired and you have inspired me and taught me a great deal of knowledge about the sport of knife throwing. I watched all your videos some a dozen times. Based on your expertise I bought the Arrow Jet D2 Stingers, Jxo Jxe Thunder, S&W Bulls Eye, Kizlyar Osetr plus the Vintage Craft Knife Roll. I can’t waist to throw my first knife this Summer. It’s too cold now for me to stay outside. Of all the knife throwers on RUclips, you are very sincere and spot on in your videos. Thanks Again. -Michael
Thank you, I was on the fence on what to purchase and you solved my dilemma. So I bought the Acejet D2! Love your videos - easy to understand and no added fluff!
Great video but I have to add my two cents. Just got a bunch of D2 Stingers and managed to snap off 15mm of the tip on one of the knives during the second session. This is what I was worried about before I ordered. I was afraid hard tooling steel might be more brittle and prone to breaking rather than bending based on my experience with drill bits. It is great for maintaining an edge but I’m not fully convinced it’s the best metal for throwing. I don’t throw recklessly so this was pretty telling. I have a bunch of the spring steel knives (not stinger however) and they are super resilient, never had a problem with possibly over 10,000 throws. I’ve contacted Acejet to see if they can help me out. Haven’t heard anything yet so fingers crossed. Hopefully this was just a defect.
@Toobigfortrials I am sorry to hear that. I have had no problems with my D2 AceJet knives. I have bent the tips on my regular stingers a couple times and had to hammer them back. But so far no issues with the D2 ones. AceJet says they guarantee their knives, so hopefully they get back to you. Let me know if they help you out, I am curious.
Will do. You’re 100% right about the knife tips bending with spring steel but I’ll take that any day over a break. So far the other D2s have held up well. Time will tell!
@Toobigfortrials i am so glad to hear it. Thanks for letting me know. I don't want to give wrong info in my videos. I am hoping the replacement has a stronger tip.
I have never had a D2 throwing knife break. They are tougher than most my knives. But these throwing knives are really thick. Maybe D2 is more brittle when it is a thin blade.

Acejet is true to their word. Replacement in the mail!

Has any of your D2 snapped or lost the tip due to the higher hardness and therefore brittleness?
I have been throwing the D2's for over 3 years now and have never had a single one break. They are really tough.
I heard that the D2 can break. Is this true?
