@samothchipmah2407 I know enough to see you are correct my friend. I make knives as well. You are right about using one set of knives and one style. The muscle memory gets confused, making things tough. Now at least I can see a light at the end of the tunnel. I agree that the skanf style seems the most powerful with small movements. It feels awesome when a successful throw is made. Thank you Tom Tom
Damn! You guys ( and gal ) make it look effortless! I'm new to knife throwing and am working on my nospin and half spin throws. Your videos are a huge help I've got to say. Thanks for sharing your talent with the rest of us aspiring throwers ✌️
I'm watching and practicing with your tutorials for almost a year now and for that I'm deeply grateful for your videos.❤😊 Thank you Sensi 🙏🏻 started throwing after seeing you at first then Adam and Brandon Dillon. but now I have my first competition coming this summer, now I'm lost for full rotational cuz started with the slow spin . Working on it 🇨🇦🗡️🎯🙏🏻❤️
Great video! So fun to watch. :) I'm trying to learn Fedin technique now, so seeing true experts like this is so inspiring! I'm a long time fan of yours, Tom. Your tutorials have helped me immensely, so thank you for putting in the time to make them.
hello Tom, exellent throwing, I want to ask whether I have to hold the knife with a forefinger, exactly at the point of balancing or a piece above it?,thanks
question what are you using for a camera and tripod? I have been thinking to get to the next level I really need to start recoding my practice sessions.
I had the same issue with the front upper tip of my shoulder throwing arm after just a few days. Do you have maybe a Tipp how I can not ruin my shoulder more than necessarily while practicing? I know when to stop as a long time bass playing Person you feel when it’s enough and you have to take a break or it will get chronic. But maybe I am doing something wrong then ?!
samoth chipmah its getting better every day and smoother now with the movements. Was just a bit too much of the same unusual movement. I will join the Facebook group now and then make a few Videos. :) thanks a lot Master TomTom :)
TOM, TOM EXCELLENT HERE BROTHER. RAEALLY AWNJOY THESE knife throwing video posts. We will meet. Don't know when but we will. You are very skilled & proud to see this of you demonstrating. Keep in touch. Are you still in Bavaria , Germany?
Thank you so much for taking the time to edit/post all of that knowledge. Question: I have the impression that all of you are throwing by the blade ...? Cordially
Complex Coordinated Author's System by Fedin (CCASF) = Сложно Координационное Авторское Направление Федина (СКАНФ=SCANF) The no-spin inertial-wave throwing knife technique is one of the courses from the SCANF system.
yes that can be a problem. hard to tell what to do. first you have to let it heal then start again with less force. if you throw like in my last video you will not have problems. best would be you show a video.
samoth chipmah soon as it feels like it I will show a video . it hurts in front high middel area of shoulder it hurts in trying raise an can't raise past shoulder height. thank u for advice much appreciated.
1st thing omg I think I'm in love with alga fedin 4 real. only got into knife throwing about a month ago well NO SPIN MADNESS AND I MIGHT SAY U HELPED ME NO END LOVE UR WORK I'M NOW MAKING KNIFES SO POSSIBLY CHECK MY NEW CHANNLE SEE WHT U THINK
I completely agree with you this throat it’s like a baseball throw to be a group playing baseball in America. I can throw this at about 90 miles an hour no kidding but I can throw this at a good 6070 mile an hour fastball right now and I’m putting that much behind my knife throws like I’m stuck throwing in a basement like I said in your pet in one post but it has gotten me to the point where can I go outside? I don’t miss.
Dann hast du ja eine Motivationsanregung um das wieder aufzufrischen. Das interessiert in Deutschland viel zu wenige als dass sich das rentieren würde.
After seeing a vid of olga fedin , your tutorial , that came after it and the sum is.very helpfull . Ciap for now and good luck ,Reinhardt
I have almost got it. Had a breakthrough yesterday. Thanks Tom Tom
Great! I had and still have many breakthrougs. Means there is no end :)

Thank you. Yes right, but the quality of your practice is much more important than the quantity.
That's some pretty impressive stuff! 😀
Thank you.
i recently practiced the Skanf technique and my shoulder got very soar tense
Yes. I had the same problem. I throw different today
that was a Awsome vid Tom Tom
Thank you, yes that was a nice project.
Fantastic Video.
hello Tom, exellent throwing,
I want to ask whether I have to hold the knife with a forefinger, exactly at the point of balancing or a piece above it?,thanks
Hello, no you dont have but its good to be not too far away from it. Especially not in direction to the tip of the knife.
samoth chipmah thank you both. Cordially
Nice stuff 😊
All 👏 Amazing!
A+! Excellent!
Thank you a lot Devin.
question what are you using for a camera and tripod? I have been thinking to get to the next level I really need to start recoding my practice sessions.
Thank you.
I have a meanwhile very broken tripod from an old grill. Quite a lot action to bring it in position.
Great
Thanks for making the best instructional videos TomTom. For Fedin technique is it only for half spin? having trouble seeing
Thank you. Yes this are only halfspins here but it works for no spin too of course.
You can really see how much Olga leads with her hips!
yes indeed.
From about what distance should I switch to half spin? Is there a way to avoid using half-spin with Skanf?
Yes, you can throw only no spin, but this style is hard to learn on bigger distances. I actually never did it like Yuri Fedin did it.
How said join the group and post videos. Then i can say something. It is all about using momentum with relaxed muscles and not strength.
samoth chipmah its getting better every day and smoother now with the movements. Was just a bit too much of the same unusual movement.
I will join the Facebook group now and then make a few Videos. :) thanks a lot Master TomTom :)

Thank you. yes still bavaria :)
samoth chipmah love the region btw!
Amazing!!!! I'm from indonesia.
Thank you. I know a lot indonesian throwers from facebook
great video Dude !!!
Thank very much
Thank you so much for taking the time to edit/post all of that knowledge. Question: I have the impression that all of you are throwing by the blade ...? Cordially
No i throw mostly no spin, but imo i am still better with half spin.
In this video only half spin, yes
Olga Fedina, not Olga Fedin. First is correct. Thnx
Ok, thank you
Complex Coordinated Author's System by Fedin (CCASF) = Сложно Координационное Авторское Направление Федина (СКАНФ=SCANF)
The no-spin inertial-wave throwing knife technique is one of the courses from the SCANF system.
I know that meanwhile. I had wrong information from a russian.
Федин называл ее ещё инерционно-волновая техника метания)
Skanf technic is only "Hale spin"?
No, it is the wave mechanic, no matter if you throw spin or no spin.
I been having shoulder problems lately throwing fedin any suggestions
yes that can be a problem. hard to tell what to do. first you have to let it heal then start again with less force. if you throw like in my last video you will not have problems. best would be you show a video.
