    I think this is one of the best starter lessons that I have seen. I switched from rotational to no-spin, and it has been difficult to get to 4 meters, he made several good suggestions that no one else talks about.

    First I want to say thank you for a more detailed explanation, and the easy to follow exercises. I've watched a lot of videos from your friend Adam but he doesn't really explain the beginners training method. I plan to start some tutorials on traditional spin throwing which I have years of experience, and with your videos and exercises for beginners I want to video me training myself from your videos. I hope I'm not being to forward in this. Thank you again and I hope to represent your method correctly.

    I like your ideas. Very well presented and your repeating the concepts and stressing what to focus on and how to begin by throwing to the ground makes wise sense to me.
    By the end of your video, I had the sense that you are teaching us a way to develop an intuitive method of throwing. Instead of analyzing everything at every distance I think you mean that by paying attention to the feeling of the knife on the index finger, by remaining relaxed at all times and by allowing the knife to release from the grip of the fingers by itself - for hundreds of times - the body will eventually make all the right choices to allow consistent sticks from any distance. Is that correct?

    • @dxbsport
      @dxbsport  Год назад +1

      Hello ! Yes and NO :)) Some people demonstrates a good result by instinctive and nature skills, But some throwers - who started with less skills - but developed correct technique by repeating throwing exercises hundreds of time day after day - they become more professional. You can visually compare best nospin throwers - Adam Celadin, Joel Holopainen or Artem Dmitriev - all of them throw very individual style

    If you are in the situation to fight a enemy with a long weapon you will be happy to use a easy release of the knife out of the combat grip into the trowing grip with one switch of your thumb to trow run away, but nooo you need to thumble aroud switching your grip totally to use your index as a release like you trained just for sports.... In my opinion, this is limiting and not out of everyday life. Just look up ALL Combat knife trowers they trow more powerfull no spin.

    • @dxbsport
      @dxbsport  3 года назад +3

      we do not consider knives throwing as a part of martial art or fighting or killing ... :)
      this is useless
      we consider throwing as a sport and art

    • @SilenMonser
      @SilenMonser 3 года назад

      You’re comparing a static activity to one that puts stress of a circumstance. Might as well say that guns are useless because no one lets you stand there and aim at them like a paper target would. To use your words in context: “... but nooo you need to release the safety of the gun, stand square and aim down the sight and then pull the trigger like you trained for sport shooting...” and therefore it must be useless in a real combat setting.
      How you train is how you move. There’s a Chinese guy putting out videos of him doing this index finger no-spin method with combat-style movements. The transition between grips is easy if practiced, just like in tennis, hockey, badminton, racket sports when going between forehand and backhand.
      The winner of a fight will be those who are more resilient and skilled versatility. A bullwhip user in a fight will more likely win if you do not expect him to use it like a nunchuck, flail, or sash when you charge in at his best opportunity (Anthony deLongis style fighting), but he will only win with the bullwhip if he practices it in such a setting. And someone who knows martial arts will know how to use the bullwhip to bait you into charging in.
      Similarly, a knife user who is well trained will have strategies to bait a long-weapon user into creating openings to take advantage of. A really good knife user will know how to use the knife without throwing it, and/or know how to throw it as a distraction to create another opportunity for something else. THAT is an example of combat tactics.
