      He was pretty much fluent in French even before he went over there years ago. He just doesn't see why he should change his local Cork accent when speaking it. Definitely goes against every single system in learning a language but makes you jump on the wagon and ask why should he if he can communicate.

      Of course he will, great coach, less of a great French speaker though! I know you shouldn't knock someone for having a go, but it's hard to find anything so hilariously bad, other than Sean Edwards, who is equally funny. How those French lads kept a straight face during that was enormously impressive too!

    You can see how this turns into Quebecois almost. Irishmen speaking french over time adds the twang to Quebecois.

    French is my mother tongue and I understood everything even without subtitles...
    when it comes from the heart and the guts and without pretense....
