Some people laugh at him speaking but that's actually incredible, he speaks with confidence, very nice.
He was pretty much fluent in French even before he went over there years ago. He just doesn't see why he should change his local Cork accent when speaking it. Definitely goes against every single system in learning a language but makes you jump on the wagon and ask why should he if he can communicate.
Honestly, he just sounds like he's from Quebec.

I am glad somebody else noticed this...I am a French living in Ireland and when I tried to explain to some local friends he sounded French Canadian sometimes they were incredulous
