- This is an homage to the winner of the Double Life SMP, Pearlescentmoon. I had this idea after a comment in her last video and decided to make this for her.

Hey if you are still here thank you so much for watching, I never expected thist video to go so well, but it did 200k+ views, that is so awesome. She totally deserved that win. From all the others perspectives Pearl was just unhinged, from Scott's she was the craxy ex, but when You saw Pearl's It was such a sad but also amazing arc to follow. GG PEARL.
100% was such a good pay-off when she won. Definitely deserved the win after all the crap she got from everyone. I think it was all in fun but it was honestly brutally mean from pearls perspective.

What I find most impressive is that Pearls double live series is essentially an improv serial tragedy while the rest of the server falls more in the action comedy territory.

the fact that pearl was so powerful that it took her soulmate killing themselves to finally get rid of her shows that pearl could probably kill everyone on any server.
But since scott killed himself pearl technically won. And even if scott attempted to fight he will go down like the rest cause Pearl Still has some doggos left its what made Scarlet Pearl so Op in the series she dint rely on having the best armor in the world she used numbers to her advantage she had loyal dogs backing her up ..... She did say to scott that numbers will win the game and she did win cause when she was left all alone it was tilly who kept her company.
Jumping forward to Secret Life and in the end she's lost her team her only ally is the guy who's had no friends and been villainised the whole season. And she offers him her life to improve his chances of winning and he turns her down. There's a lovely poetry to that.
Really didn't realize how good the line, "And whose fault is that, Scott?" is until it was grouped in with the rest.
I'm sorry the way she says "I guess I forgive you after all" after Scott blows himself up just... I.. tears

Funny thing, Pearl actually got called a witch right at the begging of this series, I think by Joel and someone else, for cackling in a cave.
In retrospect it's such a great foreboding - her heart haven't had the chance to be broken by anyone yet, she was a witch from the start ❤

I love how she really did become unhinged.
Didn't expect someone who sounds so nice and wholesome to slaughter everyone without any remorse
I mean, everyone wronged her. Her partner broke up with her, her soulmate didn't join up, got bullied by many people, and much more I didn't watch myself.
It seemed loneliness was the thing that drove Pearl crazy, and understandably so...

Scar rarely wants to hurt anyone, just scam them. Well, that is until he goes through something similar to Pearl in Secret Life. Poor Etho didn't stand a chance.
I will never recover from this season, the irony from the last season to this season was amazing. The way Scott won last season for Pearl and broke her heart this season was ironic and the ending of this season was just ICONIC.
Also the last 2 episode was some character development for the G team that was beautiful, the entire season was beautiful and played out so well and as a Pearl supporter from the start, I screamed at the top of my lungs when she won. GG so happy you won Pearl.
I also supported pearl from the start she totally deserved the win

I was never truly sad by this series, but when it’s all put together with these songs. I realize just how badly Pearl was treated within this series. I’m glad she won. Even after all that sadness, loss, and loneliness. And at the end of the day Pearl is the last one alive. She will wander alone for the rest of her life, with only her dogs and the animals to keep her company. As the bodies are piled up, she will burn them and look upon an empty world, and say in pure confidence: “It is better this way.”

The fact that the last confrontation between Pearl and Scott was where they had their first confrontation
as a person who mostly watched Scott's pov it's just how crazy different the story is from her POV
this was an insane villain story and the fact she was technically the last one alive was great

3:29 I like how everytime Pearl says something like this in her series, it actually happened. She did kill him and this is one of the many instances that happened. Something similar happened on Last Life when she said she would die, and Lizzy killed her in the same episode.

Also in Last Life, Pearl told Scar that even trap makers fall for their own trap and Tango died around 10 seconds later while setting up a TNT Minecraft trap. Aslo not to forget that Pearl was the only one to get a boogey kill even when she wasn't online and we all had gotten a glimpse of her scary chaotic side when she had confessed that she wanted to kill every green name at the same time on the dance floor.
I honestly find Pearl’s storyline in this inspiring, for my writing and for my personal life (don’t worry I don’t mean about killing everyone I mean having confidence when no one else has any in you)
The best part about this is it wasn't scripted
After watching Secret life, I temporarily forget you actually recover hearts normally so most of these clips made me shiver
This is one of the greates villain stories ever.I would watch this over and over if this were an actual movie.
Girl bonded more than blood to someone, is betrayed over and over,slowly losing her sanity until her only true friend is a dog.Later becomes the last person to survive after murdering anyone else that betrays her.
pearl's descent to madness was an incredible aspect of the double life SMP
"Slowly". She was completely batty by episode 2
To be fair they left her in ep1 like they all completely abandon her and the only person who she was with for awhile left her to get cleo back.
I have never watched Double Life SMP my entire life, and I expected this video to be a compilation of pearl being clumsy or stuff like that, but then I saw a masterpiece that the Dream SMP can never make.
Huh? I love the Hermits and the DreamSMP peeps, but never? Mate, I REALLYYYY recommend you check out SAD-IST and proceed to tell me again about how DreamSMP cant make masterful storytelling as well.
Again, to reiterate, love both servers, just wanted to share the masterpieces on the other side as well.
If you're going to watch Double Life, may as well watch 3rd Life, Last Life and Limited Life as they're all part of the same series.
And maybe season 5 if it releases. I mean its been teased quite a lot lol

Pearl had been through so much during DL and its nothing short of heartbreaking. How she is villanized (made to look like a villan) by everyone else, goes through two breakups in less than 5 minutes, and goes almost completely insane. In WOF (#multifandommadness) terms, she reaches Albatross level, I'd say.

The real main protagonist is Pearl
The others are antagonists with Scott getting some kind of redemption by sacrificing himself for her
I don`t really think Scott was an antagonist due to him not understanding why pearl went to the nether. To him, it just seemed like Pearl didn`t really care about him and went off with Martyn. I think they were both protagonists, separated and not understanding each other but eventually coming together in the end, though Pearl was more of a protagonist than Scott as he didn`t listen to her.
I feel like scar and grian less so. They seem to be the only ones Pearl didn’t have anything against

That sunset in the last bit, coupled with Pearl dealing with Scott's sacrifice and the music is just brilliant, it all comes to make the last bit truly atmospheric
Beautiful. Just amazing how you show the clips of pearl being betrayed and slowly losing her sanity. I was seeing grian's perspective only this series and it wasn't until the start of limited life that I saw pearl's perspective but it was beautiful and sad.

Out of like 4,345,668 videos about grian from double life (despite the fact that grian had zero storytelling in his double life), I'm glad that Pearl is getting recognition. This was, in my opinion, Pearl's season to shine due to her Scarlet/Ex-girlfriend/Unhinged storyline. Thanks Pearl! And also thanks to you for putting together this video, it must've taken a while, really appreciate your effort.

Due to Scar being her only "friend" in this series, it makes Scar's "villain arc" in Secret life way more tragic. because not even Pearl was nice to Scar, and it was him vs her in the end. Overall im glad Scar and Pearl won the series where they shined the most.

Didn’t martyn get like 6th place in 3rd life? Skizz does have a curse to die in episode 7 always lol. Died in 3rd Life’s, Last Life’s, and Limited Life’s episode 7. Plus he wasn’t in Double Life which was the only season without Episode 7 and 8.

The fact that Cleo and Scott had to team up with Thier ex soulmates to survive at the end only for Martyn to betray them causing Cleo to die getting yetted off a cliff Into a tree of death..... Then Scott gave the win to pearl (cause he already won previously)

Most life seasons were everyone's story. This season was Pearl's Season
All of this happened at the same time as the first trailer for the A24 horror film Pearl came out, and I for real thought it was a viral marketing thing.

Something ive realised is that im a sucker for this kind of acrs.
There was this other smp series (an hispanic one) called Karmaland. There was this guy called Luzu who's story was somewhat similar. Started as nice funny guy, bad styff happens, then becomes emo and stuff.
I think it was season 6 or 5...?
I wasn't that interested on that series until my bro mentioned Luzu, then I just started religiously watching the series xd
I only watched like two episodes of double life from Grian's perspective and forgot about it quickly but now that I have seen this video I know what I shall do next.

I can’t stop crying the first time I watched this video (it’s the 6th watching today). Double life pearl/5am pearl resembles my life more than it should. The pain of betrayal, pain from losing, pain from being misunderstood, pain of being antagonised. For my whole life, I’ve been antagonised too much, misunderstood too much, betrayed, lost for too much. Sometimes I feel like pearl at the last episode. Absolutely unhinged, hated the world so much that I wanted the murder everyone (I’m just saying in a overly expressive way) and won’t feel any remorse. But I can’t, this pov is calling to me, and it’s helping me speak. I hope the world won’t be so single minded, sometimes the villain might just have a tragic backstory that no one knows nor cares. Ty :)

I think it all started crumbling when Tilly died.
I really liked how she turned into a state like the scarlet witch, where she is just overpowering everyone with her crazy careless actions and blaming everyone (in particular Scot), just to realise in the end, what an effect this had to some of them
(Like scarlet witch, who were pushing forward with this feeling and past, until she got backfired in an unsuspected way (and only then she realised it))
(At least, that is how i interpret it)

I cried watching this because in a way, i can relate
I’ll be honest, I will forever blame DL!Martyn for everything that happened, I mean he invited DL!Pearl to the nether, (which I will say, yeah, DL!Pearl chose to come with but my point stands, he suggested it.) he left DL!Pearl after DL!Scott and DL!Cleo left them and blamed her, killed Tilly at the end, claiming that she was the one that corrupted DL!Pearl and made her like this, even though his actions were the ones that even made her scarlet Pearl to begin with, and yeah. Though despite this, I do kind of have to thank him since those actions led up to her winning, and I will not say that DL!Pearl wasn’t responsible for how she responded to those, she was, but if DL!Martyn wouldn’t have done what he did, she wouldn’t have done what she did, and ofc DL!Scott also contributed to this, yk, by leaving her, but there wasn’t as much impact then what DL!Martyn did, (Not saying DL!Scott did minimal impact, just not as much as DL!Martyn!) and I personally would forgive DL!Scott, but yeah.

One of the most well-executed character arcs in Minecraft fiction history, and to think that all of it was impromptu acting without a script is just incredible. I consider the Life Series to be what peak Minecraft content looks like amidst the ocean of oversaturated trash that is MC content creation in general (eg.100 Days hardcore), and I don't think that opinion is at all an exaggeration.
