Yeah, I actually dig it. This movie isn’t good (nor is it original, it’s a very English Evil Dead knockoff, not exactly the pride of my nation to say the least) but _my god_ is it entertaining to watch, classic B movie fun! Reminds me of the originally planned ending to The Beyond, where the characters would end up in hell, only to discover it was an amusement park of sorts and all the victims of the film could be seen having fun on the rides etc. They did a U-turn for budget reasons and (without too many spoilers) we got one of the bleakest and greatest horror movie endings ever. So I’m sort of glad that one didn’t pan out in the end.

For any Brits, the most shocking part of this movie is that an American decided to use their holiday to go to Barry Island. And having a middle aged guy trying to fight 4 teenagers is a pretty standard night out in South Wales, too.
Read the wikipedia page or on IMDB because it's actually pretty in depth. I didn't understand the plot for this at first either because of how complex it was until I read more about it and the screenplay is actually rather ingenious imo. I love Cult Films, especially Horror, Grindhouse and Exploitation so this was definitely far better than I initially expected it to be. Such an amazing hidden gem as with all of Norman J. Warren's other films.
Also, am I the only one who thinks this movie has one of the least consequential outcomes? Yeah you die, but then you're partying for eternity - unless everyone's in their own version where they're behind the glass watching everyone else involved partying
Vinegar Syndrome did a shockingly great job restoring a movie that was very close to being lost forever, I’m glad horror lovers are doing the work for other horror lovers.
I agree that the film pops, cracks, melts, and burns add little nuances to the time warp. As well as the absurdity, and wackiness of the B-Movie aesthetic. Cheers!
The short cut scream at the very first kill had me rolling on the floor with laughter! Thanks to James editing the moment became 10x funnier. Can't wait for the next Dead Meat episode. Keep up the good work!

This is possibly the most confusing movie James has covered. Literally right before he did the temperature check, when it showed the old TV podcast about the plain, I found myself just saying aloud "What?"

I used to go to Barry Island all the time because I'm from South Wales. I actually had my 9th (I think) birthday there in 2015. It still open now. I drove past there like a month ago.
Being trapped in a never ending new year's party for all eternity is honestly not that bad of a fate, especially in a horror movie. The guests look like they're having fun. Definitely better than Hellraiser where you're trapped in a realm of pure pain and torture forever.
Fun Fact: In Inseminoid, when one of the characters gives birth to an alien, her scream of pain is the sound effect used in the original Five Nights At Freddys, even though it sounds like a child.
He said Snuckering as a play on words. Since snucker mean " to say or do offensive things" and in the scene the guy was offended when the girl asked him to have sex on the snooker table.
If anything the quality of the footage just adds to this film's charm. It makes it feel like a proper, old-school, batshit crazy horror movie. The best kind.
"Then their boat gets to hitting on a rock and starts taking on water like it's part of White Star Lines 1910's fleet." Nice Titanic reference.... Also.... TOO SOON!
I never get tired of watching the kill counts about 70s & 80s movies. To me the 70s began the whole creepy horror movies that don't need a full reason why creepy stuff starts happens with the characters.

He said Snuckering as a play on words. Since snucker mean " to say or do offensive things" and in the scene the guy was offended when the girl asked him to have sex on the snooker table.

If anything the quality of the footage just adds to this film's charm. It makes it feel like a proper, old-school, batshit crazy horror movie. The best kind.

I never get tired of watching the kill counts about 70s & 80s movies. To me the 70s began the whole creepy horror movies that don't need a full reason why creepy stuff starts happens with the characters.
They should cast James as the next Joker.
