Agree! Just caught this show again on the tv last week (on Mezzo) and it was every bit as awesome as I remembered it to be. Wish I had been there in person at Vienne, both for this show and again three years later for the magnificent gig by the Tedeschi Trucks Band - I've watched that one several times both on tv (Mezzo, again) and here on RUclips. It was THE shpw that turned me on to TTB.
Je suis devasté encore un pan de ma jeunesse qui fout le camp 2eme plus enorme souvenir de concert de jazzrock concert dantesque de 3 h au zenith de Grenoble ( alpexpo ) en 90 1h15 uzeb 1h00 Didier Lockwood Group et 0h45 Uzeb Lockwood tournee phoenix 80 pontieux verneret Ce mec a été une des locomotove du Label JMS de Jean Marie Salani dans les années 80 Apres avoir débuté dans Magma et apres l'episode Surya il aenregistré son premier album New World avec le geantissime Tony Williams et son 1er live In Montreux avec Gerry Brown et Jan Hammer Je me souviens avoir discuté avec lui au restau chinois en face du New Morning avnt un concert de Mike Stern Benoit Sourisse ( qui fut jadis tout comme moi au lycée Stendhal de Grenoble ) et devint ( apres le depart de Ponthieux et Verneret chez Nouro ) la clavier deDidier Lockwood doit entre bien triste lui aussi aujourd'hui Allez Didier sur que comme Zebulon tu danceras toujoujours dans nos coaur avec les éyoiles au dela de Kobaia et de La voie Lactée
Thanks for mentioning this, I didn't know about Didier passing away. What an incredible loss. I had the honour hearing him live twice. An awesome musician always nailing it - I miss him dearly. RIP Didier, the sessions up there must be great.
