    The bottom line is 9th gen consoles are $500 & $70 for a game to play on it, so there's $700 for a new system & a couple games to play on it. Even more money to increase the extremely needed storage, so now you are approaching $900 to have a basic set-up you can finally start enjoying & I sure as Hell can't spend that kind of money, especially now with 40% inflation & a new job making less than half my salary a year ago.

    • @AsianSleepy
      @AsianSleepy  3 месяца назад +1

      Exactly Dean, 9th gen gaming is not cheap. You have to invest a lot of money to fully enjoy the Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 disc versions. The hard drives they include will only allow you to install a handful of games and then you have to start deleting them to make room for new games. Even with those expansion cards for additional Hard Drive space, it still isn't really enough. It's hard for me to justify spending that kind of money to get a PlayStation 5 right now. I can only think of maybe 5 games that I would actually want to play and then the console would just sit and collect dust.
      I appreciate you checking out my latest discussion vlog bro.

    I'm just collecting duplicates of games I can system link with my Xbox 360 as I have 4 of these consoles and I'm awaiting the time I can connect them to play with friends when they come over.

      System Link brings me back to the days of the original Xbox and Halo. Lan parties were always amazing to be apart of, and it was so awesome to be able to play the same game with multiple people on different consoles, in same the room. I hope you're able to find the duplicates for those games for your System Link gaming with friends. I Would love to host a Lan party with friends in the future. I appreciate you checking out my latest discussion topic.

      @@AsianSleepy It's pretty awesome, especially with portable monitors of today. they require one HDMI and one USB power. both of which connect directly to the Xbox 360, thus only requiring one power outlet to be used per console.

    • @AsianSleepy
      @AsianSleepy  2 месяца назад +2

      My brother gave me a gaming monitor that he used to use for his PlayStation 4 and Xbox One X. It's definitely awesome being able to play a console and only need one HDMI cord and one power cord.

    • @AsianSleepy
      @AsianSleepy  3 месяца назад +1

      That's the best thing you can do when collecting for any console. Just buy the games that you want to actually play and never waste money on shelf filler titles that will just sit on your shelf collecting dust.

    Yep I wasted $44 on "Gears Tactics" & only got $4 for it at the store. Lesson learned.
    I hope "Space Marines 2" isn't a F live service game, I need to wait until I hear the truth on it's platform.

    • @AsianSleepy
      @AsianSleepy  3 месяца назад +2

      It's a real shame that they force you to be online in order to play a single player game. No where that I could see even mentioned that fact on the case for Gears Tactics. I also hope that Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 isn't a live service game. They've created 3 different versions of the game this year. The Collector's edition, Gold Edition and Regular Edition. The game does have DLC and a Season Pass. Hopefully you're able to play the game offline if you want to. I pre-ordered mine at GameStop in May. At least I can always cancel my pre-order if I find out that you have to be online always to play it.

    • @somereflections567
      @somereflections567 3 месяца назад +2

      It is interesting about Gears Tactics. I ll try to install it without internet. Yakuza like a dragon have a warning on the cover, but it works fine from the disk. Lately I test all my Xbox one collection in this regard - so far dark souls trilogy, wasteland 2, elex ( some frame rate drops in the end), elex 2 ( hard difficulty doesn't work) playable from the disk.

    • @AsianSleepy
      @AsianSleepy  3 месяца назад +1

      @somereflections567 Yes I found out that you can't play the game without being connected to the internet. You can get to the title screen but it won't let you play the game sadly. Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth hid the New Game Plus mode behind a $15 pay wall upgrade. That's something that I hate when companies will strip out a basic feature of a game, and force to to buy it for more money. A new Game Plus mode should have just been included in the game and not force you to buy it. I'm glad to hear that some of these games do work from the disc. I appreciate you checking out my latest discussion vlog.

    • @somereflections567
      @somereflections567 3 месяца назад +1

      I think that the most of the games of Xbox one will work from the disk. So in some time from now it might become as hot as Xbox 360 now. At the same time since it doesn't have that many exclusives as 360 I might be wrong. In any case I am glad that Xbox one/ps4 games collections can't be taken from us and worth building and enjoing.

    • @vinniecorleone62
      @vinniecorleone62 3 месяца назад +1

      @somereflections567 sadly no one has figured out how to Jailbreak a Xbox One nor the Series-X. Whereas the PS4 & PS5 can, so investing heavily in a Sony collection you know you can play for many years ahead, where Microsoft has made it impossible to hack their console, so someday you very likely won't be able to play many of those games on that system, as it has to be connected to the internet to function.

    Hey Sleepy, I think I'm going deaf but did you said that you can play Xbox 360/One Games on the Series X? If so, I might get one just to play Splinter Cell Games, Forza Motorsport/Horizon and other Games. I hate when I want to play a Game on PS4 and I have to install a 50Gb Game and then a 100Gb Update (I think Red Dead Redemption 2 had it?) That's why I still play on PS2, I just need to put the disc on the console and play. I stopped playing Battlefield 3 on PS3, not because it was a terrible Game but because it has a lot of Lag and now I'm afraid to play other Games (Uncharted Trilogy/NHL 13/Assassin's Creed). Ubisoft's Showcase was terrible, I was hoping to see Splinter Cell Remake Trailer or even a reference but no.... nothing. :( I still refuse to play Alan Wake II because it's Digital only, last week I saw a friend from School and he told me that he still plays old Games (2002-18). I really want a PS5 but now I'm having second thoughts. :/

    • @AsianSleepy
      @AsianSleepy  3 месяца назад +2

      You're definitely not going deaf my friend. Yes the Xbox Series X can play every single Xbox One title. It's 100% backwards compatible with every Xbox One game. Some Xbox One games even get a free upgrade to the Xbox Series X version. There are 633 Xbox 360 titles that you can play on Xbox Series X, and 63 Original Xbox games you can play on the Xbox Series X. You can find the list of backwards compatible titles here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Xbox_games_compatible_with_Xbox_360
      It's annoying having to install games with large install files and then having to download update files that are even larger. I do remember that Red Dead Redemption 2 did have a large file size. The PlayStation 2 is a great console and you can just play a game by putting the disc into the console. Sucks to hear that you've been experiencing issues while gaming on your PlayStation 3. Ubisoft's Showcase was a disappointment. Alan Wake 2 is getting a physical release later this year. A regular release copy being sold everywhere, and a collector's edition that's exclusive to limited run games. That's awesome that you ran into an old friend from school and he still enjoys playing old retro games. I would either get a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X console my friend. Thanks for checking out my latest discussion vlog bro.

      @@AsianSleepy Thanks, Sleepy, for a moment I thought I was going deaf. :p I will take a closer look into that list but I might get a Series X for my Birthday in February as well as the new Nintendo console but I will only get one if and only if it has Backwards Compability with Switch Games. I was going to get a PS5 in July but something came up and I have to wait until August or September at most but I'm going to get one because I'm done with my Gaming PC (it keeps crashing out of nowhere if I watch videos on RUclips. I just finished recording Tomb Raider and Hitman on PS4 (finally), now I'm recording the 1st Splinter Cell on PS3 and resident Evil 2 on PS4, speaking of PS3, I've also been recording some tests with NHL 13 and the Game works fine. I will try to finish at least Resident Evil 2 before going on a Road trip with my mom this Saturday and I will return home next Saturday.

      You're welcome Miguel. I do love the backwards compatibility of my Xbox Series X. I've been playing a lot of Original Xbox and Xbox 360 titles on my Xbox Series X this year. I hope you do get the Xbox Series X for your Birthday my friend. I think you will enjoy the wonderful library of Original Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Xbox Series titles that are available to play on it. I know you will enjoy your new PlayStation 5 once you obtain it my friend. I just can't get into PC gaming because of how expensive it is to keep up with the new technology coming out every year. I hope you have a great time on your road trip bro.

      @@AsianSleepy Thanks, Sleepy, I'll have to get the PS5 first and then a 4K Monitor later but I'll keep you Updated. I can't wait for July because normally it's when I get a Summer bonus, if I have enough money then I will get a PS5, my sister will be angry but I don't care, she doesn't own me. I'm waiting for Capcom's Showcase to see if they are going to Announce more Remakes, I would love to play them on PC but then again it's too stressful and not to mention that they are super expensive. I rather play Games on consoles, I just need to finish my PS2/3/4/360/One Games but it's going to take a while but it's fine, I still need to finish Gran Turismo 2 but the Licenses are killing me. I just hope that there is going to be another Forza Horizon Game because I love the Franchise.

      I can definitely understand you not wanting to play games online at all. I used to enjoy playing games online. I started back when the Original Xbox Live launched on the Original Xbox. I played games like Mechassault, Halo 2, The Star Wars Battlefront games etc. I played a lot of games online during the Xbox 360 days but I eventually just stuck to playing my single player games. I do enjoy couch co-op or the occasional online co-op gaming, but I prefer my single player experiences.

    I don't think we have it as bad as people think. Yes, digital sucks. There are also lots of really awesome games that are released.
    I like to think of it as demon souls. It was an old game nobody really cared about when it came out. I think I heard of it in allgengamers from pete Dorr as a hidden gem type game. Now the thing is considered it's own genre.. lol
    There are games like that now that are sitting out there with little to no attention. It's like music. You gotta dig.
    Inflation sucks, but you gotta remember some snes games were more expensive without even considering the value of money back then. 100 back then would be much more today.
    Also, I like that the xbox doesn't play the original xbox games off disc. I've had old xbox discs that were scratched and unplayable on my original xbox, but since the series x pulls the digital version, it doesn't matter. As long as the disc is good enough that the xbox can identify it, it will play. It gives life back to old discs that may have scratches or rot.

      For me the biggest issue I have with 9th gen modern gaming, is the fact that I just don't really find that many big AAA games that appeal to me these days. I can find a lot of good AA and indie titles that I enjoy playing, but I just don't find that many of the big AAA games that I enjoy. It really just comes down to the fact that gaming has changed and is more focused on multiplayer games these days. Gaming is targeted to a younger audience (15 to 25) that enjoys Gamepass, online gaming and loot boxes. I'm going to be 40 next year and my days of online competitive gaming are behind me. I really just enjoy my offline single player experiences these days but I do occasionally enjoy playing a game co-op with my brother or a buddy.
      I remember when my brother introduced me to Demon's Souls on the PlayStation 3. He told me that this game is not like other action RPG titles, it's brutal, it's difficult and you will die...die...die and then die again. It definitely wasn't very popular at time of it's release but it has become it's own genre these days. It's had a lot of sequels and copy cat games released over the years.
      I would agree that there are a lot of unknown games out there waiting to be discovered, but most of them are smaller AA titles. Inflation definitely does suck as it's increased the price of everyday life for everything. I do remember how expensive Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis and Nintendo 64 games were back in the day. Everyone thinks they were super cheap but they definitely were expensive. That's one of the main reasons why I bought a lot of games used at Game Stores, thrift stores or even rented them from Video Stores.
      I wish that the Xbox did play the games off of the disc, because I keep all of my games in good working condition. I had to resurface some of my games to get them working again but I don't buy games if they're really beat up or scratched too badly. It is good that the Xbox Series and Xbox One consoles will download the game as long as it can identify the Disc that you put into the console. That can give life back to some of the unplayable discs people own.
      I appreciate you taking the time to check out my latest discussion topic and leave a great comment. Take care my friend and be well.

      9th gen has definitely been the most disappointing console gen I've ever experienced. Installing and constant having to update a game before you can play and enjoy it, really sucks. Thank you for stopping by and checking out my latest discussion vlog.

    This gen kind of sucks. The hardware is good but the software is just not there for me anyway. There's like 2 games i want to play (Robocop and Space Marine 2) that are exclusive. But whatever i guess ill just play old stuff until the new gets old and becomes appealing to me. Im sure there will be more titles in the future but waiting to play and the anticipation is part of my process.

    • @AsianSleepy
      @AsianSleepy  2 месяца назад +1

      I've been very disappointed in this current 9th gen with the Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 consoles. The hardware is amazing but the software is very lacking. Robocop Rogue City is an amazing game and I had a blast playing through it. I can't wait to play the new Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine 2 that's coming out in September. I have a similar situation where I can't really find that many exclusive 9th gen only titles that I truly want to and need to play. I don't blame you on waiting until the 9th has been out for several years before you buy them. It's not like they're going to go anywhere anytime soon, plus the bonus is they should be a lot cheaper in the future as well. I really appreciate you participating in another of my discussion vlogs. Take care Joel and be well this week.
