Today I wanted to discuss more on the topic about the Xbox 360. I want to share some more of my memories with the Xbox 360 console. Talk about some of the games I played, DLC, The store closing, avoiding FOMO and collecting for the Xbox 360.

I did not get the 360 at launch. i got it a couple months later from a buddy who was able to get a couple of units and he sold me one at cost (no markup). First game i played was Kameo and then a bunch of my og Xbox games. I only experienced RRoD one time on my original 360, and that was repaired for free. I dont use that model anymore as when i got the 360S from another buddy, I use that still to this day as he had his profile on it (he no longer uses that profile) and it has some games that have been delisted. Outrun Online Arcade and TMNT games he bought and since my profile is on it now... I can play them. Other games i really like to play on it that are not BC for XBO are Renegade Ops and Afterburner Climax.
One thing I really liked about the 360 was when it came to XBLA game trials, they were basically the full game but just locked to a specific amount you could play. then if you decided to buy it, the rest of the game unlocked. no having to download all over again. And that Dead Space XBLA game is called Ignition and its currently only $5. I just bought Yars Revenge for $1 today.
The Xbox 360 was a very difficult console to acquire when it first launched. That's why I was so glad that I was one of the first people to pre-order the console at that GameStop. It has sadly closed down these days as it was in the Mall and they had another location down the street that was originally an EB Games, so the company decided they didn't need to locations that close to each other. I know Dean had to wait several years to get an Xbox 360 because of the resellers wanting to charge $1000s for the Xbox 360 console. He told me stories of people getting stabbed and shot in various store parking lots over Xbox 360 consoles. I'm glad you were able to get one a few months later from your friend. I do remember that Kameo game, I rented it from Blockbuster but I wasn't a huge fan of the game, so I never bought my own copy.
My launch Xbox 360 got the RROD but my brother ended up fixing it several years later. Those launch Xbox 360's had a 54% fail rate. I bought another Xbox 360 to replace the one that got RROD and it lasted for years until my father was over at my Apartment and I had it on the floor sitting on top of a plastic tub in front of the TV. I was playing the console and he walked by and knocked it off and it broke. My father felt bad and went out to Walmart and bought me the Xbox Live Arcade Xbox 360 console to replace it with and I still have that console, and use it to this day. I eventually bought a few Xbox 360 S consoles and a Few Xbox 360 E Models. I wanted to make sure I had several backup consoles for one of my favorite consoles. My brother had an old profile on the Resident Evil 5 Xbox 360 that he gave me, and it has several games downloaded that I can play on it, since that Xbox 360 was set as his home console with that old profile.
It's a shame how many games we've lost over the years to being delisted, and how many more games, DLC, Add-ons and more that will be lost after July 29th 2024. Outrun Online Arcade was cool. I bought that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade game, the re-shelled version that's no longer available and few others. That was great thing about the Xbox Live Arcade Games, you get to download the entire game but have to pay to unlock the rest of the game.
I appreciate you checking out my latest discussion topic about the Xbox 360. Thank you for letting me know about the deal on the Dead Space Ignition game on XBLA. I will definitely being buying it for $5. I remember I got that Yar's Revenge for free years ago from Microsoft. I think it was part of games with gold or some other promotion from the past.

Congrats on obtaining a copy of Dragon Age Inquisition Deluxe Edition for the Xbox 360. I still need to get a copy for my Xbox 360 collection.

That's awesome to hear my friend. I still have my Wired White Xbox 360 controller that I bought with my Launch console. It's a little beat up these days but it still works. The Wired controllers are nice because you don't need to worry about batteries or battery packs. I appreciate you checking out my latest discussion vlog about the Xbox 360.

Hey do you know if Astro a40s tr headset works still?
Any of the Xbox 360 headsets should still work on the consoles. I own two of the same Turtle Beach ones that I found at a thrift store, and the still work to this day.

I'm only buying xbox 360 video games that I want to play 😊🎮
That's what I've done with my Xbox 360 collection. I downsized and eliminated all of the unwanted games from my collection. I got rid of most of my sports games and the boring titles that I didn't enjoy playing. It's best to just collect the games that you want to play.
