Thanks for this. 20 % of dx on the initial evaluation is insane when you put it in perspective... considering Lisfranc's 50% misdiagnosis, and that we consider that to be a difficult diagnosis... I think a good practice is to actively look for an essex lopresti every time you're facing a radial head fracture due to axial compression and to take a look to the wrist xray as well
hope it is better now. i dislocated mine about two weeks ago still trying to get a idea what went where i think i have some mangled ligaments or tendons too considering the radius slips around.
It’s been a year. I’m fully recovered with no long term effects. I was pretty much normal after eight weeks. The first 4-6 weeks were horrible and seemed to last forever. I had great medical care and required no surgery or physical therapy. I was on pain meds as needed for a few weeks. Now it’s a distant memory.

@@Shep01 , my break happened when I was on a business trip and I couldn’t leave. I was miserable and had to work so I took the pain meds so I could sleep in the motel. That was a life save at that time.

Great video! Just had radial head fracture the head was plated back on the bone. How long will recovery take?
Mine took about 5 weeks but I think usually they take 6-8 weeks. I'm young and healthy so mine was quicker.
Thank you sir
