But 99% of Devices Still Dont Support HDR And RUclips Is The Only Platform That Lets You STREAM HDR! The Not Being Able To RECORD Though, is What Killed It For Me, I Need To be Able To Record For My Customers and I Literally Cant, DO NOT GET OBS 28!

Thanks for this tutorial. Sometimes it's very useful to downgrade a software. Personnaly, I had to reinstall an old version to remove an issue with some yellow borders while recording with latest OBS version.

There are a gazillion possible reasons why your stream is freezing, and OBS is just one of them unfortunately! However, I'm not aware of any reported issues with the latest versions recently that would cause buffering etc. Best of luck finding out the reason!

Good video ... however ... I have a OBS version 0.6.x on an older Windows 10 PC that I have many scenes and settings created for. I just completing building a brand new AMD Ryzen 9, Windows 11 system and installed OBS and see it's now version 29.x. Following other videos, backing up the settings and profiles in 0.6 result in file types (ini and xconfig) that don't seem to want to import into the new 29.x version. So... how do I convert an old 0.6.x install into the latest 29.x install and retain my settings. I had NO extra plugs. I only used what was already built into 0.6.x.

Yes you are technically manually installing an older version of OBS, but a rollback typically implies that there was a function that let you rollback perfectly. Like you said there can be addon complications, was hoping to avoid all that...

I wonder if you might know where I can download the old OBS virtual cam plug in for OBS 23..2.1. My older Mac Pro doesn't support Mac OS past 10.11.6 (El Capitan) and the new versions of OBS studio that have the virtual cam built in won't run on El Capitan, so I'm stuck with OBS 23.2.1. OBS website doesn't seem to offer the virtual cam plug in on its website. Thanks for your help.
@@MachineDaena always backup, always. With 28, my stream deck OBS plugin stopped working so I tried to downgrade. After a bit, just for the LoLs I reinstalled OBS 28 back "on top" and it worked fine and then the plugin worked fine ... :)

What do you mean lower thirds? Could you elaborate please if you're linking to other videos?
@@MachineDaena Its a control panel that you set up which brings up, for example 'Subscribe here' or 'Follow me' in your streams.

Installing OBS 27 to downgrade from OBS 28 did not work. Neither will open,stick to method 2 for this update.
It’s worked for some people (comments), but I’m glad at least on of their solutions worked. Trick is to back everything up before doing anything!!
