It was such a pleasure to return this special keepsake to its owner. We will never forget the moment when he saw his long lost ring. So special for everyone involved.
There is no happier feeling than returning a lost keepsake to its owner after they had given up all hope of its return. Good luck detecting, and I hope you find gold this year. Thank you for the sub!
Yvonne - It was a very special moment for me. Greg was so happy to get his long lost ring back. He told me off camera that he never expected that anyone would actually return such a valuable item.
Returning a class ring was on my metal detecting bucket list. Greg was so happy to get his lovely ring back, and I was happy to return it to him. Whenever I get a chance, I pay it forward.
Post-de7hb - off camera Greg talked about a girl who he spend a lot of time with at that park. Not sure about the rolling around part, but he sure was happy to have the ring returned.
When I was a sophomore in high school, the year we ordered class rings at my school back then, our math teacher urged us all to get our names or initials engraved on the inside. He told us the story of losing his ring! He had only had it for about a month and was riding home from sports practice with his hand out the window, and when he got home there was no ring on his finger any more! He and his friends looked for it along the road between the school and his house to no avail, but about thirty years later, someone on a road repair crew found it! They took it to the high school where his initials and graduating year enabled someone to figure out whose ring it was. His parents were shocked to get a call from the high school that his ring had been located after so many years!

We're glad we could help reunite the ring with its owner! The owner was almost in tears to have his class ring returned.

I had to sub after watching this. Great video. I never found a class ring yet but I was never hunting gold at all. I think that will change this year.

Your teacher was most fortunate to get his ring returned. I guess there still are some honest people in the world.
