  • In our highly connected society rife with social media, we live in a heightened degree of stress. In fact, many health researchers posit that many of us are stress addicts. We simply crave stress. I am constantly amused by how often stressed people head to amusement parks and thrill rides in hopes of alleviating their stress instead of spending their vacations slowing down.
As a Health and Wellness Coach, an important part of my position is to encourage people to manage their stress, to teach techniques that alleviate stress. A constant, high level of stress can be the catalyst to illness and the exacerbation of existing disease, especially auto-immune and inflammatory diseases. For this reason alone, it is vital that we find simple and effective ways of alleviating our stress.

I will be posting more about the role of breathing in stress reduction. Stay tuned.
    Peace and all good!
    Ciao
