- During my time in TS I had to learn just about every song in their catalogue. Since I put in the time to learn them I have recorded videos of myself performing most of them to document my work. Here is one example of that - the song is called "Rational Eyes" off of the bands debut record Under Reprisal.
Tempo is 173 BPM.

The Carvin's are surprisingly great. I'm not the best at rating recording gear, but Greg has come to prefer them over almost any mid-range tom microphone. Considering the price they can't be beat!
i was against triggers for the longest time but i got explained a while ago that they arent used by lazy drummers who just dont care how their bass drum sounds like through a mic but the soul purpose for triggers is to enable accuracy within music just so its easier to edit and stuff and it provides consistancy
im a jazz musician, but man i love watching you play, can you do some more AAL covers!

@bcoklay I own them and use them occasionally when waiting for my preferred stick ( Zildjian Mike Mangini Signature) to arrive in the mail; they haven't really damaged my heads at all and I would say that I am a fairly 'hard hitter.'

@stolmasa I believe he's said before that it's triggered and run through a Ddrum4SE drum module... Unless it's changed since then. I'm pretty sure you can see the trigger on the top left of the kick, though.
@stolmasa Look into the footcam window. Can you also see such a little red thing on the BD? ^^

hey awesome drumming!! i have one question: do you trigger just as an addon for a better cut and click in the mix or do you just tap the skin so that otherwise one could not hear the bassdrum like some black metal drummer :D :D just curious

@jbguitarking there are a ton of tap tempo apps you can get for your computer or smart phone, i tapped out 170 roughly
