The comments about Liam using autotune are genuinely ridiculous. He has earphones in and will be able to clearly hear himself singing, which will massively help the performance (like any singer). And it's not even like he sounds absolutely amazing anyway. Multiple gigs on the DGSS tour he matched/bettered the performance here.
I agree ,i have a hard time singing if i have trouble hearing myself. I can just imagine how it is on a big stage.

the only compromise i ever heard liam do was he was clearly on background tracks on i'm outta time for the hi bits the uk side of the doys tour....but that's it...autotune is nonsense
@@d.2605 he may have compression and reverb as every live singer cause it's need it to not sound too much "unproduce", but pretty sure he does not even use a bit of a pitch corrector live.
Autotune is quite a different thing tho, if you use it live, you sound like a robot ^^

Its a fucking crime how underrated this song and album is. The only reason why is that most people felt they had to pick a team between Liam a noel once oasis split, and obviously noel came out on top. The penny never seemed to drop that you could like both of them and both their albums. And that ended up........ fucking beady eye up! Lol

Agreed, Love LG's voice. I loved Oasis, and now I love Beady Eye. Hate how people say they try and be like the beatles all the time. Yes, I agree they have that 1960's vintage sound but they put their own twist on it. All bands take inspiration from others! Long live Beady Eye! :P

idk but his voice in the 90's was just so different and so good..every year his voice gets higher..sounds like big bird if you close your eyes.

he can still sing, quietly. Anyone who is in a band and has gone through some lead singers knows that you just cant sound the same through a loud live performance mic. He has lost his youthful power and high range and just wont sound like we all want him to at a gig. Its as simple as that.
he used to sing in a softer melodic voice pre-oasis..he's returning to that...nowt wrong with it. people's voices change with age, his years of bad posture and straining at the mic, drink, drugs, cigs...wouldn't have helped

No, oasis's performances were full of deception. Liam's mics were fucking blasted out the water with loudness during their oasis gigs. Majority of the time he'd be singing the same volume as this but it was just cranked up massively.

@@H1RFULT That's not true at all. Up until around 97-98 he had a very powerful voice, then it started to fade a bit. Also, his mic was never too loud, it was usually to quiet because of the guitars blasting

for everyone who doubt on is voice being real ,watch this "oasis Standing on the Edge of Noise 2008" gig , that gig was before they started the dig out your soul tour, liam sounded really good , almost like the good old days, specially champagne supernova , I'M OUTTA TIME sounded almost exactly like the studio version and shock of the lightning was very good too compared to a month later , every oasis fan should watch that gig at least once,look for it here on youtube
@shenzhouon9 You've just given LG a huge compliment, he's singing this live, which is blatantly obvious in my opinion. The fact that you think that this is a playback just proves that he's actually replicating the vocal that's on the album -not an easy thing to do for any singer, that's how good and convincing this performance is. LG forever.
You could move this back in time to 1961 and it would fit in. And there is nothing wrong with that.

@LeftyRightNZ Liam's not straining as much to be loud. I always thought he felt he had to shout the lyrics for his last few years in Oasis. He's been bang on form with Beady Eye though.

he's not even miming it well. that's the exact same vocal take that's on the album!!!! watch at 2:05 he sings a note then pulls away.... yet the voice carries on strong.
