    Can you tell us where to get the respirator and the boards you us? Can you do this with oil paint to? You are so nice to listen to!

    • @ianistudio
      @ianistudio  4 года назад

      I wouldn't do this with oils. I ordered the respirator on Amazon. They can be found in any hardware store. The cradled panels can be found in any art store or ordered through Blick or Rexart. Glad you enjoy the videos. Thank you and please subsctibe.

    Thank you for the video! very helpful! What mask do you use for the dust?

    • @ianistudio
      @ianistudio  3 года назад

      I generally wear an N95,but you might prefer a paint respirator mask. Remember, particles are in the air long after you sand. For that reason I have invested an a Fess Tool evac sander. Expensive but worth the investment.

    Hello and Thanks for sharing. Can you use a sander on canvas as well?

    • @ianistudio
      @ianistudio  4 года назад +2

      You can but a hand held sanding block is better so you don't sand through the canvas

    What grit sandpaper is good for sanding some layers of multimedia on canvas with orbital sander? I’m thinking 120-300 grit? Thanks so much for your video.

    • @ianistudio
      @ianistudio  5 месяцев назад +1

      @@catemarkey I think 120-220 would be fine

      Actually that sander is Ryobi. These are corner sanders you can get at any hardware store. They are rechargeable

    • @ianistudio
      @ianistudio  8 месяцев назад

      The sander is a Ryobi corner sander...rechargeable with a lithium battery. The mask is any good respirator mask that can be bought in a hardware store.

    ... get yourself a Dustbuster hand vac for your studio ... you’ll have a lot less airborne dust from just brushing into your waste basket ...
