I found the Tiddieradio video completely unwatchable--there was not a single "let not your heart be troubled" or "verily I say unto you" to be found anywhere.
If you have CRS this might help. I purchased a preset timer that plugs into an electrical outlet and then whatever you’re charging plugs into the timer. Set the timer for the amount of charging time and then it shuts off after preset time so your battery will not be damaged from overcharging if you decide to leave your battery in the cradle or forget to remove it like me.
What in the soothing subliminal sounds is going on here??? I started watching these videos less than two weeks ago and am already the proud owner of 6 radios and several antennae… A few Boofwangs and a pair of TIDdys, through “ophelia links below” of course
The battery will forget and blindly follow orders; not having to know its actual purpose. But if you allow the battery to develop a memory it may become intelligent and decide to hog all the power for itself.
Are you also a Roger Waters fan? Your Tshirt features the name of his latest tour across the USA. Coincidence? Hail to the King! (the sads will be sooooo mad about that!!! I love it)
I got a UV-9R Pro. The manual said the batteries would be completely uncharged, and need something like a 5 hour charge for the first few times. The thing is both batteries had an almost full charge. They only took about 45 min for the light to turn green and the battery meter to show full bars. I don't like the idea of over charging a full battery for 5 hours. I'm new to this so I hope I don't do something dumb. I'll just use it until it needs a charge then charge it back up to green. Hopefully I don't give it a bad memory.
Well theirs is shorter, so they get a point. I like that they included a shot of a Boofwang radio in their video, so I give them another point. But your video has a Roger beep and theirs doesn't, so I'm taking away three points from them. The RUclips Hobo wins!
If Li-Ion: Ideally, full charge before you’ll need it, otherwise 50-80% charge for storage. Do not let fully discharge. Full discharge DOES kill Li-On batteries. A Li-ion battery will discharge itself slowly even when not used (there’s a chip attached to it, plus natural leakage). Li-ion batteries last 4-5 years even unused: that sucks. I prefer Ni-Mh except that they are heavier ( or lower wh-age)
Uh.. dear king, it's two 35 question tests a morse code test and a 50 question test. But none of the questions are about batteries. And those tests are too simple to claim passing them verifies expertise in anything. P.S. Lithium Ion batteries should never be run down completely. That will shave cycles off their lifetime. Are also not to be charged 100% each time, not even the first time, and developing a memory is mostly only a concern for NiCD and to a much smaller extent NiMH.
Ummm, there has not been a morse code test requirement for a very long time. I had a radio shack ham test book back in the 70's announcing the new No Code ham licenses. Where do these sad hams get their info from? They act like they know everything but in reality they don't seem to know much at all.
Great again America? Let me guess, you support a lying criminal.
Didn’t you support an unconvicted criminal?
@@jimmywayneoconner9225 A senile, unconvicted criminal

@nativetexan9776 Get on your unicorn and get out of here!

Great cinematography! Very reminiscent of The Sopranos last episode titled "Made in America" written and directed by David Chase. Brilliant!!!
It's about time someone got the battery chemistries right. This guy knows his stuff!
Im apparently 12, I laughed every time 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Nice…

Damn...251K subbies...you've been busy. CONGRATS!!!
"... and very soon to be the king of hams radios.." Was that a surprise reveal hint? 😁👍
That's what I've been wondering too, he's been saying that for a few videos.
Beer + Radio? Sounds like a bad mix to me... I remember far too many folks doing that years ago on the CB.
Hammer time. This is not a drill.
Thank you for the tips, sir! Just the tip is good enough for me.
First and thanks for all you do for GMRS
First the worst, second the best, third the one with the radio set.
Stay Frosty- good Van Halen song!
Thanks for the videos!!
Your doing just fine. I understand
I found this very titillating
Great video and yes I voted the orange man make gmrs and ham radio great again MGHRGA
McGurhga? The Trump Burga!

So if said battery is not permitted to develop a memory, will said battery remember what is its intended purpose?
The battery will forget and blindly follow orders; not having to know its actual purpose. But if you allow the battery to develop a memory it may become intelligent and decide to hog all the power for itself.
Tell us about the wonderful looking family on the monitor in your backdrop? I googled the photo- and found nothing.
They are running from ICE.
Is really necessary to initially charge a new battery 8-16 hours? Does it make that much of a difference? Just curious. 🤔
Bawhaaaa 😆 this is gold!
Does this advice apply to "D" size batteries? Asking for a friend.
Save the TA TA’s one radio at a time 😂
Is it ok to leave my Boofwang plugged in on the charger 24/7? Or should I unplug the charger after it's full?
Is that protruding knob on that Tid how you Tune In Tokyo?
I’ll be sending you a xpr 6550 soon to review
I think you should take the 35 question test so you can do the King of ham.
Randy: Consider it done.
OH, I got a question- 41-104 degrees celsius or fahrenheit? Japan uses celsius, so, I'm double checking. Nice shirt! 😁👍
This is America! We use REAL degrees!
5-40 degrees C. What round numbers, just a coincidence I'm sure

Lion battery storage voltage is 3.7v The Tiddie batterie packs are 2S (2 cells in series) so its storage voltage should be 7.4v
Lithiun iom batteries are the superior battery, of course. 😆
I'm pretty sure I need a license for that.
😉
Well theirs is shorter, so they get a point.

Pro tip: Enable wireless charging in the microwave.
🤣
Ok, never lick the Tiddie. Got it. 😂
Nickel Hydrogen? Never heard of that. Nickel Metal Hydride, yes. I used those for years in my digital cameras.
Haha, epic!!
Don’t put your radio in your pocket with loose change. Could short out?
Gee thanks Randy. If it wasn't for you, I would be in the dark.

What do you think about the Chairman of the FCC's...? 🤔
“Not as much profit” 😂
Are those Tiddies build for COMFORT or SPEED? You motorboating S.B.!
Chris Costa of GMRS needs a haircut
✌️😎🏳️🌈
See......to me extended time is 10 hours lol.
Haha, ok so you have passed the first two test and now aiming for amateur extras?
Are you feeling okay are you well I noticed you've lost a lot of weight
That's what happens when you eat healthy.
Never use the radio while charging, it will kill the battery and it will never charge again!
Uh oh. I know what the next video will be about.
First comment
😂🤣

Well, THREE multiple choice tests. That is impressive.
A Morse code test? What century are you from?
How are those Sammiches coming along ?
No Morse code test. Both the Technician class and General class are multiple-choice tests of 35 questions--
