What's the longest homer you ever saw bo hit at kc? Any in the water towards center? They never show those! In a doc about bo some batting coach was saying how he hit the crown at kc in practice but I cant believe it. That's like a 600 ft shot lol

haven't watched since the Greg Anderson - Bonds thing (not to mention all the rest of the 'roid $$$ cheaters who helped erase baseball's past). Fitting that Bonds remains the record holder and Anderson gets out after one year, despite failing to cooperate and tell the truth. Truth hasn't been told much in this country in a long time. Anyway, after a lifetime in baseball, I haven't watched a MLB game since '04. Glad to see NCAA bb every year though.

The good guy won that battle. I worked for Tiger Stadium security in 1987 right after Tom Monahan bought them. One of the most memorable days was the day I got escort Bo Jackson to and from his autograph signings. Nicest guy you could meet, humble, reserved and very polite to everyone he met. On the other hand Jack Morris was the antithesis of Bo. True story...Morris was leaving the locker room walking backwards while talking to someone down the concourse and hence ran into a special needs young man who was asking for Jack's autograph. Morris nearly knocked the kid over. He dropped his paper & pen and d-bag Jack just kept on walking....

There is no one alive that saw an athlete on par with Bo Jackson. I never saw Jim Thorpe but even still I have a hard time believing Thorpe could compare to Jackson.

I wish he had stuck to baseball and not got injured. I honestly thought he was going to be a 20-time all-star before he was done. He was a strikeout machine and didn't know how to steal despite being one of the very fastest players in baseball, but he did things no one else could do. You had to see his arm to believe it, you had to see him run to believe how fast he was, he was just a ridiculous athletic talent.

I wish I could see where it landed. If that hit the top of the fence that's gotta be on the list of longest home runs ever. I've never seen someone hit a homer that far in the stadium. Absolutely crushed.

@ Im well aware, but if that truly hit the top of the fence at The Royals stadium, in keft field, tgats 500 plus. Thats an absolute bomb. Thats easiky as far as Piazza's blast in the Dodgers stadium that was 500ft plus.

Jack Morris is a Tiger legend, but gave up a lot of HR's when his split finger pitch would hang up in the strike zone. In the 80's he was always in the top 5 of giving up HR's. Plus he also pitched a lot of innings. Sparky gave him a long leash.

What could have been...threw it all away playing two sports. Nobody since has had the potential of Bo Jackson. Pure speed, raw power. Had he taken winters off to work on his defense and hitting and being more selective at the plate, cutting down on strike outs he would have been one of the greatest players of all time. There's no way-no freaking way you can play the position of NFL running back, especially with his size he was a human bulldozer, and play a 162 game baseball schedule. He'd walk off the diamond and report to the Raiders a day or two later, then suit up for the game that weekend. I'm sorry, but that's pure arrogance to think you can do that. He should have made his decision when he left Auburn and stuck with it. In the end it damaged the Royals, the White Sox who never got the player they hoped for, and the Raiders, and most of all, Bo himself, for the absolute physical damage it did to his body and shortened his pro career by as many as 10 seasons. Had Bo just played baseball, George Brett would have been only the 2nd best player on a very good team.
