I was 17 years old when the Nike “Bo Knows” campaign took off during the ‘89 MLB All Star Game. The timing was perfect as he started the game with a lead off HR in the first inning. Bo was voted the MVP of the Game. In the NFL, he was a beast of a running back. No defensive player can take him down on a solo tackle collision above the waist. Had it not been for the dislocated hip injury in the 1991 NFL AFC Wild Card Game which ended his Football Career and stalled his Baseball Career for 2 years, we may have been looking at only the second athlete in team sports who is in 2 HOFs. The first is Wilt Chamberlain who achieved this in Basketball (NBA) and Volleyball (IVA) which is now defunct.🏀🏐 To me, Bo Jackson is not only the greatest athlete in my lifetime but possibly in the History of Team Sports. Just like Wilt, Bo did not have any weight training or PEDs. It was all natural muscle fiber. What we call superhuman DNA. The complete package: Power, Quickness, Speed, Agility, Timing, and Cerebral. All of his gifts were at the All-Star Levels of Baseball and Football. 🏈⚾️

Bo was by far my favorite baseball player as a kid. Just electrifying! I always wish he wouldn't have played football and could've been one of the best that ever played if he would have had a 15 to 20 year career. But he was also an electrifying running back! Especially in tecmobowl 🤣

If you didn't get to witness this man play in his prime, I feel bad for you. This man could literally do everything, and everything exceptionally well. There is a reason they made him uncatchable in Tecmobowl 😂
His prime? He was a below average baseball player. Everyone hyped him up like he was some sort of super star. He only had a batting average above the actual team batting average once in his career. Struck out once out of every 2.75 AB's. not a good defensive player & is why they kept moving him around in the outfield. People see a few highlights & get all awe struck Look how powerful he is he broke a bat in half over his helmet & over his leg. My argument to that is he struck out those times but they glorified him after striking out. His year for MLB all star was a joke. At least 5 others deserved it over him but the fans vote. So it was a popularity contest.
@@lawrence5039 yes & I respect that. But get tired of everyone talking about how great he waa when all they saw was a few highlights. When you look at the numbers he really was a below average player on his team & in football ranks over 3000 all time rushing.

No doubt the greatest athlete in our lifetime. Stats don't lie. This guy was just a class act all the way
I am so lucky!! Wayne Gretzky,Tiger woods, Lawrence Taylor, Barry Sanders, Prime Time Dion Sanders,Larry Bird,Magic Johnson,MJ the goat, and BO FRICKEN JACKSON the most insanely gifted athlete of our time and probably all times. I GOT TO SEE THEM ALL!!!! The insane amount of crazy athlete's in the 80s will NEVER be repeated!!
Bo was superhuman! We only get a gift like him once in a lifetime.
PRIMETIME
Maybe the greatest combination of strength and SPEED there’s ever been. Just a once in forever athlete.
Bo is the definition of a beast! But humble and always did shit right.
Bo runs over bozz, then the first commercial for the 'Bo Knows' campaign airs right after it. Priceless!!
Simply the best! My former neighbor Russ, played with Bo on the Royals and said Bo was the best teammate you could ever ask for!
Never seen anyone else do a one man reverse like bo . He turns around completely
Was and still is my hero I grew up wanting to be like bo. A great athlete. A great man .
The best athlete we are going to see!
The GREATEST ! "LFG" BO ..Take em to school ! 👍❤
I love the throw from RF and then the "no, no" finger wave :)
Incredible athlete. A shame that injury cut everything so short for him. Best ever for sure, with in my opinion Deon #2.
I remember when he was with the Angels, when play was slow he'd talk to the fans and sign autographs during the game. Great guy.
Respect. Thank you Mr. Jackson.
Not only was he the most memorable athletic person you’ll ever encounter. But he heart is enormous. And his 30 for 30 on ESPN was a Classic.
He was almost unbelievable.
The first is Wilt Chamberlain who achieved this in Basketball (NBA) and Volleyball (IVA) which is now defunct.🏀🏐
To me, Bo Jackson is not only the greatest athlete in my lifetime but possibly in the History of Team Sports.
Jordan and bo jackson best of all time , glad i was able to truly enjoy both , LIVE ON T.V.
I WAS BORN 1980 so 1989 i was 9 playing babe ruth little league and pop warner football. !
Bo is my all time favorite tho
I always thought... "What could've been a stellar HOF career for both MLB and NFL." And probably the only professional player who could've made it to both.
You should check out Deon Sanders then
@@Boog8don’t try to compare Deion Sanders to the legendary Bo Jackson in EITHER SPORT 😂😂
@@Boog8Bo Jackson was fast enough to play cornerback himself and would’ve been better than Deion at that position too.
Deion was a joke baseball player and was used as a sideshow for attention
"They" claimed Bo knew and could perform highly at every athletic sport he played. It was undoubtedly believable!! He was my childhood hero. I can remember the sportscast from the week of his injury. 😢😭
They said he had to have pulled his own leg out of the hip's socket trying to break that tackle. 2 NFL players holding onto the ankle of 1 leg, as he used all he had to... 🥺😭
Crazy.
He had exactly zero chance of the baseball hall of fame. Quit looking at the highlights and look at his actual performance. He was 29 years old when he was injured. He was a sub .250 hitter, OBP barely over .300. below average OPS+. Hell, all that power and his HR total at that stage was 112. All that speed and he had 81 stolen bases. All that speed and that arm, and he was a negative defensive player.
Bo Jackson also had perfect speed in Tecmo Bowl for NES.
Probably my favorite athlete. I was also into archery. Bo is actually very accomplished at even that.
That arm … 🔥🔥🔥
Dion sanders did but Bo Jackson is probably the greatest athlete ever. He was freakish, no human ever has matched his athletic abilities
The world's greatest athlete ever
After chamberlain
I'm a Raider... but Bo Jackson is a Legend in 2 pro sports... the game against the Bengals that ended his career will be in my memory Forever 😵🏴☠️☠️🏴☠️☠️
What could have been, if he didn't get hurt. Probably the most gifted athlete in our time.
I've gotta give props to the person or persons that made this video... It was very well made! Bo Jackson was the best athlete on any field on any day. To this day, I've never seen a better athlete. If they could clone people, they'd use Bo Jackson's DNA and there'd be an army of guys that look like Bo Jackson. He was amazing... Its unfortunate that we only got 4 years of him on the football field
I just smiled for 12 minutes and 38 seconds.
A man that size with that speed was Scary... gotta add... LOVED when Bo Trucked The Boz 🤣🤣🤣
220 4.13 40 just ridiculous
That kid was clueless but I bet he learned what a great player Bo Jackson was after talking to the man.
Greatest athlete in American Sports history no comparison.
His acceleration was unreal
Bo was by far my favorite baseball player as a kid. Just electrifying! I always wish he wouldn't have played football and could've been one of the best that ever played if he would have had a 15 to 20 year career. But he was also an electrifying running back! Especially in tecmobowl 🤣
The fact that he just trucked ronnie lott so easily he could have been the greatest running back ever and made the hall of fame playing baseball

@@bauerj3398how many times you going to post it champ? pathetic
@@tightbhole420 It's the truth. Not nearly as pathetic as all the people brainlessly parroting "Why isn't he in the baseball hall of fame?"
@@mizztery2994 yeah but its pathetic and weird
When he leg got hurt and he laid back down on the field I cried it's like looking at family
The MAN was as raw as they come thee GOAT of all GOATS
Tecmobowl was a football game.@@BBBYpsi
@@BBBYpsi Maybe...but he did make it into the big leagues!
@@lawrence5039 yes & I respect that. But get tired of everyone talking about how great he waa when all they saw was a few highlights. When you look at the numbers he really was a below average player on his team & in football ranks over 3000 all time rushing.
Watching this video is getting to see him play in his prime, screens are bigger and clearer today than the 80s. I feel sorry for people who had to watch BO on a 24" TV in standard definition
Had heard in College at Auburn, he did a front flip for fun at practice when chasing a flyball. But Bo had great Class among others of not hot doging gestures ( unlike Mahomes over there in KC today) when making big plays. Jim Thorpe reborn, but better, faster, stronger. He was the real 6 Million $$ Man.
❤ Watching this guy unbelievable!
Once in a century caliber athlete. BO KNOWS
Bo Jackson was the inspiration for all the EA “BIG” games
Bo knows EVERYTHING
That spiderman run up the outfield wall.......
And that's true..I don't think we'll ever see another athlete like him..funny thing is...I believe him to be an even better person..
Bo Jackson may have been the best athlete of all time
As a prep athlete in Alabama, Bo broke the state decathlon record in the first nine events. He sat out the final event, the 1500 m that decided second place.
🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯 thanks 👌🏽👌🏽
Being humble and being a showman is a nearly impossible tightrope to walk and Bo walked the fuck out of it
There's two "Bo's" when you here that name come to mind for me.
Bodacious one of the rankest bulls ever to buck.
Bo Jackson one of the biggest studs to wear a jersey and touch leather.
One of the greatest physical specimens that was walking God's green earth at that time. Bo was just incredible.
