This fragrance was released in 1997. SMN shop in Miami is amazing!! There are 2 shops in Miami, one in L.A. and one or two in NYC. I'll have to try Acqua di Sicilia again. The shop has so many fragrances it gets overwhelming. I came home with Lana and Rosa Novella. My favorite Lemon fragrance is Mediteranneo by Carthusia (another old house started by monks).
Italians just know how to create the perfect, elegant and effortless citrus fragrances. I love their Kyoto fragrance and I’m glad that I’ve got access to their range where I live … and now I know which fragrance I’ll try next. Their soaps are amazing, too 😉.
I love Santa Maria Novella and will be in their Florence shop in September. If your ever in Florence you have to go the original shop…they have so many lotions and potions and perfumes, it was connected with the church and the monks there..it’s almost a spiritual experience. I will smell this one when I’m there. Thanks Yves.
Love a good lemon/citrus scent that does NOT smell like a cleaning product. I only know of them because of you! For some odd reason, I love the idea of a splash bottle… kinda classic. Thanks for sharing 💕
They seem to be a lot more well known where I live (Japan), but I haven't tried any of their scents yet. I may need to go try this one. Thanks for the review!!
It's so interesting that this brand seems to be much more popular and accessible in Japan and Korea! Wish that were the case in the US. Thank you for watching!
Great review! I was lucky enough to visit the store/convent in Florence Italy 15 years ago on my honeymoon and purchased Tabacco Toacano. I wasn’t even a big frag-head then! 😂 ….to go there again now, I think I would be in heaven. Since then, I’ve gone through that first bottle and am half way through my second. Very special experience and fragrance house with a lot of history!
I haven't tried anything from Santa Maria Novella. I do like realistic citrus on hotter days. I have a bottle of Goutal Eau D'Hadrien Eau de Toilette, which has a lot of that pithy white aspect of the rind in the fragrance. I think it's more of a mixed citrus to my nose with lemon and perhaps even grapefruit. It is pretty light and I do find I need to respray after a few hours. - Jenn

Yes, I agree that their soaps are great! I just tried a sample of their rosa novella one. So lovely!

Sounds wonderful. I will definitely visit their original shop if I ever go to Florence!

There is something so glam about a splash bottle!

Wow sounds like a lovely experience!
I want to try their pomegranate one day...if I can ever find it.
Melograno is a great one! I wish it worked for me. Smells beautiful on my husband, but it smelled a little off on my skin.
Great review. Been on the search for a good citrusy
Thank you, Maude!
Yeah, toddlers are cute when they bite into a lemon. 😆 Another great review Yve! Twigginess definitely going in the vocab. 😄
Thank you for the good video! I've used many SMN perfumes. I'm thinking of buying Sicily as well. Is it a refreshing lemon scent?
I own three of there fragrances and I love them!!!

I can't believe I haven't tried Eau d'Hadrien yet, even though it's such an iconic classic! Sounds so lovely
Only if we could smell through the screen
