  • Many cruise lines begin or end their cruises in the fantastic Mediterranean city of Barcelona, Spain. I have cruised there with Royal Caribbean, NCL, MSC, Costa, and Virgin Voyages, to name a few! Let me show you the neighbourhood and area I recommend you stay, check out a few hotels and highlights, and show you how easy it is to get to the port with the cruise bus. #barcelona #cruiseship #cruise

My recommendation for everybody (not only from the U.S., but also from Europe) who starts a cruise in Barcelona: extend your stay in Barcelona for at least 3 days before or after the cruise so you can enjoy this great city. For people from the U.S., I recommend to look for a 4 stars hotel. Be aware that Spanish 4 stars are on a level that you would rate 3 stars in other countries, especially e.g. in the U.S. or Germany.

I have been to Barcelona a couple of times, with the last time in 2019 on Sky Princess sailing to Fort Lauderdale. I stayed at the Leonardo Hotel and it was nice, although they did have an amazing breakfast available. I just walked the distance from hotel to cruise port , but I will say it was about 2 1/2 to 3 miles. This was in November and the morning was cold, so it helped not being a sweaty mess by the time I got to cruise port, especially dragging a roller bag along, and it was good to get some extra steps in just before a cruise anyway.

I think you gave excellent instruction on how to get to the port bus. I appreciated that you mentioned landmarks to help orient oneself. DANKE

I consider all the hotels you mentioned to be very affordable. The one you're staying at being the least expansive. Thanks for that. Now, can't wait for the chibichewbakka train video.

Another of your well balanced videos providing both useful information and amusing chat.
I know it sounds ridiculous, but after watching your videos I always feel relaxed & upbeat the way one does after a chatting with a dear friend (please conveniently disregard that fact the conversation is totally one sided, and we can hardly be classified friends since you have no reason to know that I exist or am watching).
I just wanted to commend you on presenting in what I would describe as a very natural style, peppered with a delightful sense of humour, and suitable for anyone of any age by avoiding the pitfalls of offensive or vulgar language, or inappropriate stereotyping that might make any viewers uncomfortable.
I enjoy your videos regardless of subject matter and content, just because there is almost always something to make me smile.
Or perhaps it is simply because you were the 1st RUclips channel I subscribed to, and I'm told that one never forgets their 1st!!!

You do a BEAUTIFUL job explaining your process and your visuals are super helpful! I'm an international flight attendant and I've been all over the place, but I still look at videos like yours when I'm traveling with my spouse and don't have the benefit of the limo services I have on the job. You've really saved me a ton of added work in preparing for our Costa Smeralda cruise starting in Barcelona this November. It's meant to end in Savona, but we plan to call ahead and let them know we'd like to disembark in Civitacherricola because we'll need to fly home from FCO to EWR anyway. If you have any tips on leaving a cruise early, do share! ❤

Pickpockets in Barcelona in the metro also. Be careful. A woman unzipped my backpack on an escalator. I turned before she took anything thankfully.

La Sagrada Familia is also a key spot for pickpockets. The pickpockets are very good at what they do. If you're at an outdoor cafe, keep a very close eye on purses and packages!

That was very interesting seeing theHotels you have stayed in and near the Bus & Cruise terminal 😊.
Had few Neighbors visit the city ,loved it ,but evening/ Night time was an whole other experience😮
Plus 2 of them sadly got pick pocket on the Tram 😢 dispite all this they still enjoyed their time.
    Bit shaken up .
There were quite a few cruise ships in , i can imagine how busy that was in full season 🫣 ,wise idea to take a Taxi( indeed if you can share bring the costs down 😊)
Have you got any more cruises booked ?

Morgan, another great video!! The marketplace that you should look looks really interesting. Mediterranean cruise is something that I am interested in doing in the future I like that you included the bus information to get to the port. I’ve been at on several cruises out of Fort Lauderdale and the shuttle to get to the airport at the cruise is always chaos. So one time when I had an early flight, I walked over to a wedding taxi who took me to the airport for a dollar more than the shuttle! Got there in plenty of time 😮
