I mean.. you might be the first I've seen doing speeduino on a briggs for an ultralight. But... go to antique engine shows... you'll see guys running briggs and everything under the sun on speeduino or old GM ECUs... or megasquirts .. or microsquirts....

@@vg23air I will say.. you're the only one I"ve seen trying to do cam sensing this way. I put baby speeduino on an Intek briggs and it was easier to just add a cam sensor at the time. Otherwise... LOL

@@miaknecht did you put a 1700 dollar high flow racing head on it too ?

@@vg23air No. It was for a lawn mower... high speed takeoff to get airborn was not a requirement. While I have your ear, did I miss the videos showing the results of running the speeduino on the Kohler? I tried to watch nearly every video thus far, but don't think I saw it. That is how I found your channel.. just looking for people using speeduino on odd engines. I have a 1929 briggs single cylinder i once had running on speeduino but it was just a waste spark scenario, no cam sensor.

@@miaknecht no, when we got funded to expedite the engine build we skipped the kohler which at the time was busy work cause we were underfunded. That work was to get lessons learned to do the briggs.

Question, I see lots of computer HP predictions, but unless I missed it somewhere, do you have Actual Dyno Measured Power charts ???

      these are math dyno runs

    Max 49.1hp@5600rpm
    49.1 x 75% = 36.825hp
    It's making 35.36hp@4000rpm
I would lower the CR for 91 Octane! Most Airports only carry 100LL and Jet Fuel. Most Gas Stations in the USA carry 91 Octane. Your not going to lose that much HP.

dynamic cr is all that matter, 87 octane is fine
