@@MrMac1138 Maverick is the best coaster at Cedar point, and it ranks lower than I.G. and Fury 325. So assuming the giga would be anything like Fury there's no way Cedar point would edge out BGT, at least in my opinion. I haven't ridden top thrill 2 though so maybe that's good enough to put it in the running , but I doubt it.
Depends on how good the Giga is. Millenium Force is a phenomenal coaster, and then there’s Steel Vengeance which I feel is as good as Gwazi, in ways better, in some ways worse. It’s a toss up. If BG had Fury 325 or P305, then I’d say BG had a better 1-2. Cedar Point still has a better 3,4,5. Top Thrill 2 is far better than anyone expected and a major upgrade over Dragster.
@@IAMVJBLAZE well for one it’s not operational half the time because of high winds. Secondly, if you take it you miss falcons fury, the new coaster, and the swing ride. You’ll just have to walk right back the way you came on the sky ride in order to ride those, thus negating the “advantage” of taking it in the first place. Duh.

I’m so glad they’re finally doing something with Jungala! While I’m still holding out for a giga, I’d honestly take anything new for that old playground that has just been waiting to get removed. Having a RMC hyper-hybrid AND a giga at my home park would be wild!

OMG I hope so. I’m from 🇬🇧 and it’s really expensive to justify trips to other parks in 🇺🇸 who have Gigas. Cedar Point is the only trip worth making for me. I always go to Florida 2 weeks every year. They should go all out and get every record. It wouldn’t be beat for ages.
Hopefully if it does happen its an intiman. B&M hypers and gigas are all same ride basically..The layouts are switched around some obviously but you get my point.

The Tampa area has height restrictions on coasters, they would have to be approved by the state pretty much to do something that tall. All because of the airport I guess.

You might have had a lot of traffic, its about 1 and a half with no traffic. Its 2 to 2 and a half hours from Daytona beach. When I mean "Tampa" Im talking about Busch gardens, and temple terrace, not downtown Tampa which is a bit farther west
@@coastarider There's no such thing as "no traffic" on I4, unless you're driving middle of the night. About 14 hours a day, you can expect very slow to stop and go on the west side of Orlando, around Disney and Championsgate.
I thought this when the seaworld history twitter said “It’s Happening” and teased that “Something Big is coming” After this, I hope busch gardens lays off new coasters. Focus on non coaster additions. Like a dark ride, maybe a few flats. Theres space by both gwazi gliders and next to tigris to fit some modestly sized flat rides.
It’s very easy to tell if they are building a giga. If you ever see any reports of seaworld renting a giant crane for a specific period time it will be true. You can find this out by checking FAA reports. They would need a very giant crane to lift the pieces up.
I'd rather have something more akin to hyperion than the likes of fury or orion, but expectations for my home park are tempered at best. Jungala was a failure from the outset aside from the animal exhibits that were mostly already in place

I think a giga would make more sense because the last new Giga we saw in North America was Orion at Kings Island in 2020. If Busch Gardens Tampa opened a Giga Attendance at this park would be at an all time high and this ride would have great Capacity at 1,550 to 1,600 people per hour with 2 to 3 trains in operation

A couple of weeks ago I spotted a survey marker in Jungala behind the Chik-fil-a. @buschgardensjunkie Someone also said that they saw the plans. 2026 would seem to be in line with what I have heard also. 2025 will be a year of a flat ride I think or fixing up Kumba.
What the city of Tampa needs to do is get better mass transit! Team up with those world class engineers and develop a giga ride to get around the horrible congested traffic!

Mack has never built a giga. If it's a giga, it will be Intamin or B&M. Likely something similar to Leviathan - so I would bet B&M. Might have purchased it as part of a package between Sea World and Busch Gardens between Pipeline, Penguin Trek, and Phoenix Rising. Bet each park purchased two B&Ms and got some nice breaks for committing to that many coasters.

Ill be spending the whole week on premier properties looking at every nok and cranny of epic. Ive also always rushed thu islands trying to get on all the rides so i have a few days to do bush and the beach. 2025 will be to contested with epic to try to compete. 2026 however ill come back 100% if they did a strata or a gigga.

I'd much rather have them work with Premier on a launch coaster with 4,000+ feet of track that can run several large trains simultaneously. Gigas have no inversions? Positive g's aren't even listed most of the time? Seems boring. BG already has Falcon's Fury and Sheikra for height thrills. It needs more coasters with tight, whippy layouts that bring really intense forces.
I could see the lift hill itself being 330-335 feet tall. However i think if they are going for height or drop i can see them absolutely pulling a orion drop and making theirs similar to the knotts berry farm rumor one and having a 340+ foot drop

What they need is a walking shortcut across the park. That walk from Gwazi to Sheikra and then around to Montu is brutal in the summer.

Anyone know why B&M hasn't built a hyper/gigacoaster with a 90° first drop? Is there a limitation on the clamshell restraint or their track design?
I thought Fury 325's drop was 90° but I guess I'm wrong
i dont think the restraints can handle such high negative gs

This park already had the best collections roller coasters in the US outside of Cedar Point, in my opinion.
Hershey has a better lineup than BGT and SFMM probably does too, but BGT is so elite
