This Bam Bam Bigelow Shoot Interview was conducted in April 1998.
Bam Bam Bigelow (RIP) talks about the backstage incident between Scott Hall (aka Razor Ramon), Shane Douglas & Chris Candido in ECW. This happened while Hall was still under contract for WCW.
Scott Hall had been working with Bam Bam Bigelow just a few years prior in WWF for Vince McMahon. Bigelow says that the Kliq is the main reason why he, Shane Douglas (Dean Douglas in WWF) & Chris Candido (Skip) lost their jobs. Also, what Bigelow says the Kliq was spreading about Chris Candido and Sunny (Tammy Lynn Sytch) affairs. Sunny has since gone on record several times admitting that she was indeed messing around with Shawn Michaels while with Chris Candido.
In the last part of the interview, Bam Bam talks about his dislike for Hunter Hearst Helmsley (Triple H), the current Executive Vice President of Global Talent Strategy & Development for WWE. Triple H is also the founder and senior producer of NXT.
This Bam Bam Bigelow interview is a fascinating piece of history especially since it was recorded at the height of the Monday Night Wars between WWF, WCW & ECW.

At the time of this shoot (and I guess until his death in 05) Chris and Sunny were still together so nobody really wanted to stir shit at the time, but everyone including Bam Bam knew
Personal experience with the Bammer, at an ECW show he got thrown into the crowd and he landed on me.
We destroyed about 5 steel chairs from our weight and crashed to the floor.
Laying on the ground selling it he was looking at me with genuine concern until I whispered "selling" to him and proceeded to be part of the show getting stomped on by Shane Douglas.
Got to go backstage, everyone was very nice and complemented my sell job.
ECW was so fun to goto.

Just sold it on my own as I hate when people get tossed into the crowd and the wrestler is laying there selling and the crowd member just jumps to his feet.

Dude that is awesome. I'm 26, so I wasn't old enough to go to the shows back then but I have been a wrestling fan since I was a child. That sounds like one of the best moments you could have as a fan. Hell, in this same shoot they say Raw finally beat Nitro that past Monday so this could've been around the same time that happened.

He's famous as Hell as far as wrestlers go, I mean, every girl I ever knew no matter how little they knew about wrestling knew Bam Bam and Hogan... yet nobody seemed to fill seats for Bam Bam. I'm a huge Bam Bam fan but have also wondered exactly how that went down. I think he wasn't much of a back stage politician. I think he just wanted to show up, do his job and that's that. I THINK... I mean, what do I know. Maybe he kicked puppies. No idea.
He’s a northeast/tri-State area guy. The way he carried himself could have came of as a jerk. But, that’s just how people from that area are.
When he was younger he used to really bully Lanny Poffo in the ring and never apologized before he passed away. Lanny REALLY hates the hell outta Bam Bam.
Besides that, the Kliq disliked Bam Bam but thought he was a good worker.

Apparently, the people in attendance noticed she was either drunk or high. Bret asked her to be removed and she yelled, her pussy was the best Bret ever had. Tammy was also asking people where Monty Sopp was. Yet, Billy Gunn wasn't even there at all.

Bam Bam Bigelow was incredibly agile for his size. So sad he was never wwe champ, would have been a lesnaresque champ with debiase as his heel manager.
I think Bam Bam was one of those guys that probably never needed the belt to be over, he even said it himself. He needed to be booked as a dominant beast winning matches to maintain the aura of being a constant threat to the world champ. That and being one of the upper card heels a babyface needed to go through to get to the champion.
Interesting hearing him talk about Scott being a mess knowing that Bam Bam went on to OD and Scott Hall is now sober.

It always amazes me I remember when I was under 10 years old and u were in WWF wrestling cause he stood out , big man tattoos on head . He must have started very young in WWF wrestling which must of been late 80s early 90s and still was wrestling at top level until his death .
Pretty ironic that Bigelow, the guy that died because of an overdose, was talking to Scott about not needing him there because of the "atmosphere" and how he didn't want fans to be perceiving the ECW roster as a bunch of drug addicts and whatever, meanwhile on the roster they had Bigelow himself, Candido, Sandman, Sabu, New Jack, Axl Rotten, Big Dick Dudley, etc etc.
What a legend ! It’s not easy to make a name for your self not carrying a title in pro wrestling and bam bam is definitely up there with the best non wwe champions ever.

Hall lived to be 18 years older, dying at 63 while Bigelow died at 45. Hall was fortunate to survive long enough to have the opportunity to change in his 50s.

Bigelow is a quality guy. Despite how poorly Hall personally treated Bam Bam and his friends, Bam Bam was actually willing to squash their beef and wished no ill will towards Hall nor did he feel any satisfaction at the fact that Hall was having major problems in his life.
I remember when he used to walk out with luna Vachon. Sorry if i spelled her name wrong but he put on a good show for sure. He went to wrestle mania with lawrence taylor. Then he was in the movie major payne. Its a shame he never got a title shot in wwf.

Story is a 3/10 but in 1995 or 1996 my dad was working at Coast Guard Station Shark River in NJ. I was 11 or so. He comes home as he knew I watched wrestling and asked...do you know Bam Bam Bigelow with the tattoos on his head? YES!!!! And he was in Major Payne too! Well, we towed his boat in off of Asbury Park. I guess he had a large cigarette boat or something and my dad said he was a super good guy. I Think Luna Vachon was on the boat because he referred to a woman being 'some creature on the boat' which it had to be her (she is a legend, just a dad that didnt like wrestling at all, nothing personal).
Ironically, shortly after this Bam Bam went to WCW and Scott Hall ended up eventually getting fired and showing up briefly in ECW.
I love Bam Bam and RIP to him and Scott and Candido, but it was funny hearing Bam Bam say "We didn't want someone stoned like that around our locker room"..you seriously can't be talking about ECW lol. RVD, Sandman, New Jack, Axl Rotten..whoever else was notorious for drugs and what not. Half the time Sandman could barely walk lol.
And then after watching Dark Side of the Ring about Bam Bam, it seems like he didn't have a lot of room to talk about that stuff either. Half of the documentary was his wife talking about Bam Bam's addiction issues.
