1998 Rose Bowl: Michigan vs. Washington State

The 84th Rose Bowl Game, it featured top-ranked Michigan beating Washington State 21-16. Michigan quarterback Brian Griese was named the Rose Bowl Player of the Game.
Washington State mounted a furious comeback, but was denied an opportunity as the referee ended the game while WSU's Ryan Leaf clocked the ball with time left on the clock.
