Thanks for the pointers! Some ink dropped from a normal trash mob in a Delve in West Weald last night. But it only happens once every two weeks, or so. So it is on the glacial scale of things. Bordering to the plate tectonic ride. If the game is outdated in 100 years, that is a bit too slow!
I managed to get 7 inks in this zone with the double resource node slotted(so the real number I would've gotten was 3) but this was way better than any farming I did before. Thanks for the video
Soo many questions ... - First of all: how fast does ink sell? For a million gold you would need to SELL like 25 (regarding vendor fees/taxes from trading guild). Farming 25 ink is one thing, but selling them another. - If Bethnik works, Stros'Mkai and Khenartis Roost should also work. (Assuming there might be a rng bonus tied to the former starting islands of each alliance.) - Artaeum might also be a very good idea: There are no monster around slowing you down but probably lots of other players farming there aswell. The area itself is small with lots of nodes. - Never forget about craglorn. Potent Nirncrux is in the same pricerange as the ink. So having 2 rare resources from the same source (crafting nodes) also can increase your income. - I havent checked West Weald yet, but going for a newer area and add treasure chests and/or thiefes troves to your farming route might be a decent idea.
I have farmed all of those zones extensively, and nothing compared to the drop rate I'm getting from Betnikh. Also, keep in mind the number of Thieves Troves in Betnikh. I have a video showing the Trove locations as well. I'm getting West Weald treasure maps, which sell for 50-100k on PSN NA at the moment. It only takes me about 5 minutes to get an ink drop in Betnikh. That's hard to beat. I'd recommend giving it a try.
I've been playing this DLC since day one. I did my scribing right away. I have my champion points in all the right places. I have only managed to find nine inks so far.

@TES_Bloodline The times vary. There are a lot of different nodes to farm from besides the ones the bots are on. What I find amazing is ,is the rng seems significantly better in this zone compared to any other zone I've tried.

I just farm the new motifs and buy the ink. The motifs are easier to get and sell for far more since the whole player base wants that new swag. Much more efficient. But yes... dont farm this like i said. Keep my unit prices higher. 😂
Most importantly is where you harvest. I've been testing the drop rate all over the game. I've been in every zone, killed oooodles of enemies, etc. For me, nothing compares to the drop rate I'm getting in my favorite place.

There are no guarantees when it comes to RNG. I've had the chapter since launch on PC. Completed all the questline, unlocked everything. Have all the gathering CP slotted....have only farmed about 15 ink the entire time in this same area. Thats spending about 3 hours a day doing nothing but farming. Something highly boring and keeping me from playing the content i actually want to play. Congratulations on your favorable RNG, but its not normal and its not like that for everyone.
That's rough. I had one person on the forums say that they've gotten 100 Ink so far. I can't say that my RNG is good on Eso when it comes to Crown crates, etc. As for getting Ink, I pick up everything I see, and it drops. It could be an algorithm thing, like for example, say someone, or a bot is farming the same thing like ore, maybe it's harder to drop? Idk, it's just a guess. I've noticed that when I'm doing my loop it seems to drop from something different most of the time. It makes me wonder if each type of node has a cooldown? Lmk if your farming improves...
These places are not good. Bots have taken over them. And now that this is on RUclips. It’s gonna be impossible to farm now with the thousands of players that will copy now

Did you complete the Scribing quest line? You have to have the Netch unlocked first before Ink will drop from resources nodes.

I’ve gotten a few ink from the enemies inside the public dungeons in northern elsewhere, mostly the southern most PD with all of the goblins and ogres
It's incredibly rare from enemies. I had a friend send me a video of him getting an ink from a backpack. That was wild.

Do you have the Scribing unlocked? You have to unlock it first. The Netch allows you to get Ink from resource nodes. I hope this helps you.

I farmed it today with no problem and got several Ink. The bots are annoying. I wish Zos would remove them.
