- This time we're taking the DJI Mavic Air 2 (store.dji.com/product/mavic-a...) out to test QUICKSHOTS! Unfortunately we forgot our ND filters and so the resulting footage isn't great (over exposed) but hopefully this tutorial is still useful to those looking to understand how they work.

Which nd filter to use in bright sunlight? Bruh
What is the beeping? Is it proximity warning and can it be shut off?
@@nikhilsingla12 it depends on the light, on this day I should have been using at least an ND32 realistically. Looks at the overexposure figure and compute the stops required, that'll give you the ND rating to use.
@@helishskills yes it's the Obstacle Avoidance, I hadn't realised that it was beeping so loudly on the recording sadly.
Was not a problem at all. Was reassuring to hear it working. Like a smoke alarm. :)

Yesterday I tried the Quickshots particularly the Asteroid on the grass field. The weather was very hot under sunlight at 12 noon in Jakarta, then when the drone rose to do the job, suddenly the drone stopped, and I touched the screen of my Samsung A21 S, the screen was not responding at all. Then I switched off the drone also switched off the RC, and then started On again from the beginning..I tried again, it worked. And there was a notification on the Mobile phone: that it is stop charging due to the high heat. Can you comment on this? Have you ever experienced this problem? Thx.

nice review can I ask if you can turn on the apas or obstacles avoidance sensor when you using drone quickshot mode
Great demo! Agree with the not always working target acquisition. With the Air 1, I was able ro select my swimming dogs and let the drone keep them in shot, but I haven't been able to do that with the Air 2 :-(

Nice videos, thanks! I have a question about the quick shots. Can you be recording as you go into the quick shot? For example, if you were shooting the intro for a video that you wanted to talk on, and then when you're done talking, can you go directly into a quick shot, so the camera will pull back and reveal your surroundings ?
Unfortunately not, it seems to be an automated recording mode, you could start with the QuickShot and then take manual control and keep recording but starting it after recording won't work sadly, unless you start it and then pause it perhaps, then unpause for it to continue the shot.

Just wondering, why asteroid video a bit choppy not like previous drone model which is very smooth.
Hey! When I created a quick shot, by selecting the mode and clicking on Start, I saw the drone moving, but when I checked the album nothing was recorded. Any idea why that would be?

When I was using quick shots I noticed it going really really slow. I know with my original mavic pro I could adjust speed. I'm aware you can't do this with the air 2. Could it have been that I might have had the drone selected in cinematic mode vs normal mode? Thanks

Does circle require GPS signal? I have been doing it manually inside a steel building to show Robotic cells running and would move to have it be smoother/more consistent
Will it record coming and going on the dronie shot? I saw it was recording on this video but was not sure itit was something special you had to do.
I just returned from a quick test flight. I also tried all the quick shot modes. I got the feeling that the max distance setting for helix didn't work at all. Could you pls confirm that this is working for you?

Mine doesn’t give options to pick distance, how did you get yours to let you pick the distance?
Where are you? It looks like old Viking graves. We have many of these in Norway.
I really like the helix. Clearly these are software; any speculation on if they'll be incorporated to future firmware/software updates for other craft in the DJI line, or will they lock the new additions to the newer craft to push sales ?
Unfortunately not sure, I guess that DJI will reserve them for the latest only, because of as you say, sales.
Is there a troubleshoot if the quickshot videos don't save?

Could you not increase your shutter speed to compensate not having your ND filter? I don’t think it matters as much on drone shots 🤷🏻♂️
Hi Ash, I have a Mavic Air and like to shoot 4k at 25fps. When I use quick shots, the drone switches to 30fps, and stays in that mode even after the quick shot is over. Does the Air 2 do the same, or will it stay in my chosen frame rate for the quick shots?
Via a recent update, the mode for video can now be selected, after the shot the drone does stay in that mode unless you switch to a different one.

Thanks Ivan, bit sure about the mounds, I can only assume that they're made of the soil escavated when they built most of the area, Hyllie was just fields until the 70s, it's growing rapidly. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for the comment, this is the DJI Fly app, there's no other choice for flying the Mavic Air 2 and Mavic Mini unfortunately.
