To all you guys who can take these things a part and upgrade everything out it back together my hats off to you guys. One thing in this world I can’t do and am lost completely is electronics. I can do anything else but never was around people playing with electronics I’m my life.

Your video has inspired me to buy a drone and get my 7 year old autistic son into the hobby. I was shocked at how quickly he grasped it. We've now moved up to slightly better (still cheap) drones 4 times. The latest just arrived today. The 3 previous drones each need a part or two so im thinking of making a Frankenstein one out of them. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.

I remember when the Mavic air 2 was released, of which you got a lot of value for its cost. That is, a drone which allows you to film in 4k 60 frame, have a 12meg camera, good battery time, good fly distance, avoid system, and some other feature. All at the price of $890-$1300(Combo)
And today you can buy the combo kit for 500$, which is significantly lower price than Mini 3 while at the same time offer about the same spec. :D

Funny...I was thinking some way of transferring the DJI FPV pieces and guts into a 5 or 7 inch carbon fiber fpv frame....this here is magic, though. Good stuff!

I did that exact thing 3 years ago to a MJX Bugs 2 and a Bugs 3 it's very easy to do but hard to make as stable as a real accro quad unless you swap out the stock motors for more powerful ones with higher kv but it will work. i even kept the stock bugs esc's and ran 4S lipo on it with stock 1806 motors with low kv and put normal 5in acro props on it. got plenty of videos on it.
Yes, the standard motors and props really have a hard time keeping up.

Ahh I was hoping with the custom circuit board print you would port the gimbal functionality which saying it I realize isn't going to work in a fpv flight but also the gps RTH and the other fancy features from dji to a FPV flight mode. I guess next is just stuff the avata guts inside the mavic and then you have 1 directional gimbal for in flight angle adjustment.

Pretty cool, and thanks for the video, but I would only destroy my air 2S if I could still use the gimbal and camera on the drone. And RTH, and everything that makes a mavic a mavic. This is cool, but it's essentially an fpv drone with bad handling and a frame that couldn't take a crash. Awesome video though man! I love shit like this! Makes me wonder though, what would it take to do this and keep all the good stuff!?!?

just curious because of the decent analog video quality for the test flight. But what analog vtx & camera is this and what analog goggles do you use?
im only familiar with the digital goggles and i see all different types and prices for analog fpv goggles ot even an analog video receiver to use as an AV Input, into my Dji goggle v2's instead of getting a whole new set of goggles..
All im looking for is decent quality video and a solid connection like you had in your video.
Even with a BNF iflight nazgul5 analog, i guess its my older cheaper now eachine fpv goggles bc they just randomly lose signal for a few seconds with abrupt movement of the drone and its made me crash a few times now and im not trying to destroy my go pro bc of something stupid like this, i dont even long range but that would definitely be a plus lol..

Just got a mini 4 pro a my first drone aside from my dads racing fpv holy batman the 4 pro needs that kind of debauchery
What about the flight time? Is it similar to normal fpv drone (3 or 4mn) or like dji mini drone (18mn)?
@ 48 seconds, that bottom face plate......I can't remove it because one of the screws isn't done correctly (China's great quality) and there is no hex hole to put in a screwdriver. Any ideas how to get it off? I dunked my drone under water for 3-5 seconds only but after 5-days drying in desiccant it still wont start up. I need to take it apart so i can clean it out and see if it will start.

Adam do you know how to make a DJI Mavic 2 or 3 fly 100mph+? I film high speed boats and want to upgrade motors on one of my drones because I can't keep up with some of the boats i'm filming. My FPV is fast enough but without the gimble the shots are not the quality i'm looking for. Great content mate!
Get an insta 360 type of camera on your fpv quad, they have horizon lock feature thats basically gimbal + you have a 360 image at the end that you could pitch, roll and yaw in whatever way you want at the end so you could choose what kind of camera movement you want on edit

100mph+ you might want to go for traditional fixed wing UAS. Also in the US you'd need a part 107 waiver for groundspeed above 100mph (thanks FAA)
