"Good Morning"! said Lachie, and he meant it. The sun was shining, the grass was very green, he'd completed more of the Minis Tirith build, but there was still much to do . Gandalf looked at him from under long bushy eyebrows that stuck out further than the brim of his shady hat. "What do you mean?" he said. "Do you wish me a good morning, or mean that it is a good morning whether I want it or not; or that you feel good this morning; or that it is a morning to be good on?" "Just get over here and help me carve some more foam we are running out of time!" Said Lachie and as he turned round and began to walk off muttered under his breath "bloody Wizards!" Absolutely loving the build and my favourite scene is all of it 😂
Dude the wall of sheilds and spears bracing for the destruction of Grond leaxing to the trolls coming through the gate, over running the courtyard, and Gandalf slaying was totally my favorite!!
Love the bit in the extended edition where the orcs are having no luck getting through the gate and gothmogs enforcer says it's two strong and he just goes , " bring the wolf's head " badass line
My favourite scene is when Gandalf is rallying the troops and telling them they will face whatever comes through. His face when it's nothing but trolls is quite realistic I think
One of the favorite moments from the siege of Minas Tirith has to be when Grond is mashing down the gates, Gandalf is rallying the soldiers of Gondor, the gates swing open.. And *Armored Mountain Trolls come charging in!* Even Gandalf was caught by surprise.
Favourite scene has to be when the camera pans out showcasing the enormity of the Witch King’s flail and then it cutting to Éowyn looking absolutely terrified
My favorite scene from the siege of Minas Tirith is when the armored trolls breach the main gate after it is broken by Grond. Always gives me goosebumps.
You have the patience of a saint regarding the marking out of the stone on the XPS ..... and the mind of a lunatic for contemplating it in the first place! Looks great mind you - good for you on going for it!!!
Mine is the suicide charge if that counts I love it because it shows their blind loyalty to denethor and their kingdom, and is the only part that actually shows the gondorian mindset and shows their proud kingdom and bloodlines
Favorite scene is "Aim for the trolls!", because presumably before that the Gondorian archers were just pointlessly shooting into the wooden walls of the siege towers. 😄
My favourite scene from the siege of Minas Tirith:"You are soldiers of Gondor! No matter what comes through that gate you will stand your ground!" and then the Trolls just walk in like they own the place...
Gotta be that first shot of Grond being rolled up the main gates and just getting a sense of the sheer scale of not just the ram but the gates that it’s going to be used to being down
My favorite scene is when the gates of Gondar are broken and Gandalf tells soldiers to hold their ground no matter what comes through... then trolls...
My favorite scene was when Pippin asks Gandalf about death. Such a serene sweet moment in the midst of the chaos. I like how even in the face of all of that evil, Pippin is still able to look on the bright side.
My favourite scene is after the forces of modor have breached the gates and they're rampaging through the streets and you see the warg gnawing on a gondorian...feeding time at the zoo
My favorite part of the siege of Gondor Eowyn killing the Witch King of Angmar. Love the small detail Tolkien works in here; the barrow downs sword that Merry wields helps to undo the will that binds the Witch King. Then Eowyn is just badass!
This is still my favourite RUclips build ever! Keep coming back to it every time I start a project just to get inspired and figure out design and layout! 😊
That moment after Gandalf rallied the main gate defenders, and with that first devastating trolls warhammer smashing at least one defender, stunning more. Removing Gandalfs buff spell.
Favorite scene: seeing Peter Jackson himself on one of the invading Corsair ships on the way to being replaced by a ghost army for the Battle of Minas Tirith.
My favorite moment is when Gandalf rallies the soldiers and the trebuchets (the superior siege weaponry which honestly, really should've been pelting the catapults before they got in range) open fire. Glorious crunching was to be had :)
"Death" they cried. Because sometimes, in front of overwhelming odds but for a just cause, fighting is not about winning. Fighting is about showing the world you fought. The desperate charge of the Rohirrim is hands down my favorite scene of the trilogy. I can't watch it without goosebumps and even used it as an illustration in an essay. Ere the sun rises!!!
Would love to win that Witch King 😊 My favorite part has got to be the Mordor Trolls busting through the Gates of Minas Tirith and the Gondorians soldiers trying to hold them off.
Best scene hands down is Gandalf’s oh fuck moment after he goes “you are men of Gondor. Whatever comes through that gate you will stand your ground” 🤣🤣
My favourite scene is the Troll smashing the door and have some fun with the poor Gondor warriors...tried to recreate it too using your amazing tutorials for my table :)
My favourite scene from the siege of Minas Tirith has to be the orcs attempting to rush the main gates with that piddly little battering ram. Climbing over piles of dead orcs to reach the gate as Gothmog sends more into their deaths is the peak of orcy tactics.
It made zero sense though. Grond was specifically created to breach that specific gate, because they knew long before the siege that an ordinary ram wouldn't work. I get that orcs love drowning the enemy in bodies, but when they consciously throw away their manpower for zero benefit it just makes them less threatening.
@@cass7448 I know exactly what you mean, the scene makes very little sense from a tactical point of view. I find the opposite though, for me seeing the bodies pile up as the commanders throw troops at the gate for zero benefit if anything makes them scarier. For me it reinforces their unlimited numbers and the suicidal willingness of the orcs to get at the people inside no mater the cost to themselves. Completely get how silly the scene is though!
Not sure if this counts, but when Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas show up in the "trojan horse" with the army of the dead. The grin was wiped pretty fast from Guritz face 😂
Best scene you say? - the whole thing. But 2 stand out: 1) When Gandalf says "you must stand your ground" and the trolls bust through (and the easterlings rock up in the background). 2) When Rohan hits charge collides with the Mûmakil (although not in minas tirith siege specifically, its close enough).
There is only one scene that can qualify as the best scene in LotR, the Siege, or any movie ever for that matter: "Arise now, arise, Riders of Théoden! Dire deeds awake: dark is it eastward. Let horse be bridled, horn be sounded! Forth Eorlingas! Arise, arise, Riders of Théoden! Fell deeds awake: fire and slaughter! Spear shall be shaken, shield be splintered, a sword-day, a red day, ere the sun rises! Ride now, ride now! Ride to Gondor!"
My favourite scene (or more like one of many) from th siege is seeing the easterlings charching through the gate just after trolls. Such a small, easy to miss thing, but it manifests perfectly how in depth the movies were planned and filmed. Every frame of the battle is full of amazing details and you can find every time something new. The siege of Minas Tirith and the movies in general are truly a gift that keeps on giving
Favourite moment(s) is literally Gandalf throughout the entire siege who takes the lead in the defence of Minas Tirith. Giving the soldiers new courage and hope! Bonus points for Gandalf jumping in front of Pippin and absolutely slaying the attacking orcs. Very cool project you're working on! Absolutely love it. Keep up the great work!
My favorite scene is when the Rohan arrives and the horn is blown. Not only because it is so epic and it was one of my favorite scenes in the books too. But because it ends the scene the movies butchered completely: Gandalf vs. Witchking, where fro some how Gandalf's staff is broken and Gandalf is completely owned. The horn ends that horrific scene and we are back on tracks and can enjoy the movie!
My favorite is the aerial assault from the witch king/nazgul, it really really shows how powerful they actually are and adds a sense of horror to the siege.
this is so 1 perfect 2 inspiring 3 awesome 4 beautiful just to name a few you are such a underrated youtuber and i cant wait for more content keep up the great work
This is such an Amazing work ... *_* My favorite one is When the orcs are calling for Grond. This huge master piece smashed open the Minas tirith's gates easily
My favourite part of the Siege of Minas Tirith is definitely when the horns of Rohan sound, both in the books and the movies! After getting into MESBG it does seem like an awful waste of points to have that many war horns, though....
Probably the scene when all seems lost and Gandalf tells Merry that “death is just another path, one that all must take”, gives me goosebumps thinking about it
This is looking glorious. I'm keen to see the battle report which will no doubt take a month to film and 3 to edit. Keep at it Lachie, my brother, my captain, my King!
@@Zorpazorp not specified hahaha, then if i may change my scene sir it would be that staff hit from gandalf on denethor's face and PREPARE FOR BATTLE :')
Rough drinking game mate 🥴haha best scene is when Gandalf say “you are soldiers of Gondor whatever come throng that gate you will hold your ground” then it armoured tolls a Gandalf is like wow not expecting that
From a mouth unseen there came a deadly laughter. 'Old fool! he said. 'Old fool! This is my hour. Do you not know running out of build time when you see it? Die now and curse in vain!' And with that he lifted high his sword and flames ran down the blade. Lachy did not move.
My favourite scene is clearly, when Gothmog dodges that boulder and then spits on it - and the disappointed sigh from the troll =) My favourite pastime is watching you failing forward in these epic terrain projects =) Just a thought, maybe show and tell us some more of your successes during such a build, because they certainly put to shame any issues you come along =)
Completely amazing, as usual Lachie. Totally love the idea of the Zorpazorp Mega Terrain Drinking Game. Could be dangerous though! 😂 My favourite scene in the siege of Minas Tirith is always the moment when Pippin unexpectedly saves Gandalf and the wonderful look Ian McKellen gives him when he realises. Pure Gandalf gold!

Best comment detected.
Hahahahahahaha this is amazeballs
I like Gandalf running through the streets on his way up, it was a fun way to show off some of the city before all heck it the fan!
Me too love that sequence
I do like it big.
You would love to erect a big, hard... wall.

My favourite scene is just the chanting when the wolfs head is getting towed to the main gate: "GROND, GROND, GROND...".

You have the patience of a saint regarding the marking out of the stone on the XPS ..... and the mind of a lunatic for contemplating it in the first place! Looks great mind you - good for you on going for it!!!
Hahahaha thank you mate
Such an epic build! My favourite scene from the siege would have to be Gandalf's speech before the gate is breached. "You are soldiers of Gondor!"
My favourite scene is when the battering ram arives. I just love how cheery and happy the orcs are.
Hahahahaah they are positively jubilant!
I do like a happy orc
Mine is the suicide charge if that counts I love it because it shows their blind loyalty to denethor and their kingdom, and is the only part that actually shows the gondorian mindset and shows their proud kingdom and bloodlines
Favorite scene is "Aim for the trolls!", because presumably before that the Gondorian archers were just pointlessly shooting into the wooden walls of the siege towers. 😄
My favorite scene is were Gothmog just side steps the broken part of the city that was launched at him and spits on it. Thats just a chad move.
My favourite scene from the siege of Minas Tirith:"You are soldiers of Gondor! No matter what comes through that gate you will stand your ground!" and then the Trolls just walk in like they own the place...
Gotta be that first shot of Grond being rolled up the main gates and just getting a sense of the sheer scale of not just the ram but the gates that it’s going to be used to being down
Best scene is totally the "that only counts as one!" bit, with the fights on the walls coming in close second.
Best part of the Siege of minas tirith is the troll catapulter looking at gothmog when he moves after says "don't move" xD
Best scene? Gotta say I love it when Gothmog sidesteps the massive chunk from the trebuchet at the last second
Favorite scene? Gothmog dodging the somehow laser accurate trebuchet shot and the Troll's "Oh s**t!" reaction.
Best scene from the siege of Minas Tirith? When the gates break and those Gondorian spearmen brace up for the orcs and Gandalf takes those trolls out
Favorite scene has to be Gandalf riding Shadowfax onto the wall and commanding the Soldiers. “Send these foul beasts to the abyss!”
I love when the orks use the catapults to launch a bunch of heads onto gondor troops to scare them!
My favourite scene is when Denethor starts yelling ABANDON YOUR POSTS and Gandalf just clocks him.
Best scene is definitely when the trolls come thru the gate. Super impressive build as always lauchie!

Easterlings charging through the gates when Grond breaks it.
Sneaky little background easterlings
That moment after Gandalf rallied the main gate defenders, and with that first devastating trolls warhammer smashing at least one defender, stunning more. Removing Gandalfs buff spell.
My favorite scene is when Merry and Eowen take down the witch king!!
when the boulders get launched and the ork just looks at it then gets smushed
My favorite scene is from two towers.. when the elves arrive at helms deep and the dialog between haldir and aragorn.
It’s just before but I love the scene between Faramir and Denethor, can really feel Faramirs pain and then the song from Pippin… so many feels
Best part: Gandalf knocking-out Denethor with his stick 😎🤠 some-one should have done that muuuchh earlier!
Gandalf and Merry rousing speech - "The journey doesn't end here"
Fav scene, the trolls bashing through the gates!
Favorite scene: seeing Peter Jackson himself on one of the invading Corsair ships on the way to being replaced by a ghost army for the Battle of Minas Tirith.
My favorite scene would have to be pipin and merry's reunion. Just a very heartfelt scene
Best scene has got to be when the Orc general side steps the incoming rock launched from the trebuchet
My favorite moment is when Gandalf rallies the soldiers and the trebuchets (the superior siege weaponry which honestly, really should've been pelting the catapults before they got in range) open fire. Glorious crunching was to be had :)

The best scene in the siege is easily Grond! Love orcs and seeing them basically worship a giant flaming battering ram is just so orcy!
Would love to win that Witch King 😊 My favorite part has got to be the Mordor Trolls busting through the Gates of Minas Tirith and the Gondorians soldiers trying to hold them off.
Favorite scene definitely has to be Pippin saving Gandalf after he claimed that this was no place for a hobbit.
Best scene hands down is Gandalf’s oh fuck moment after he goes “you are men of Gondor. Whatever comes through that gate you will stand your ground” 🤣🤣
Plus fantastic work as usual dude you are a god at terrain building
Favorite scene: Gandalf talking to Pippin about death.
My favourite scene is when denethor falls off the big rock thing whilst on fire. Mmmm satisfying
My favorite scene is probably the moment the nazgoul join the battle and descent onto minas tirith to wreak havoc
My favourite scene from the siege of Minas Tirith is when Gandalf whacks Denethor.
Favorite scene: Denethor burning then proceeded to go on a huge run, I want to see how long the run would going to be when you finish the build
